La marina has lovely friendly staff & a good location but nothing else to recommend it but with some investment it could rise again to be a lovely hotel. Unfortunately it was the only place we could get to book at short notice but the facilities & rooms are just not up to standard. Toilet was broken, bathroom not clean...

We 'dropped in' in June - so not high season. The hotel seems to have been a higher class destination in a more 'elegant' era and therefore has the olde worlde charm of earlier times. Think large Victorian/Edwardian seaside hotels in the UK. Although it would no longer be considered 'high class' the hotel is clean, nicely furnished, with good-sized...

Well, the food was reasonably good, and we sat outside and drank cider, which was lovely. However, we fell prey to the old "offer the tourists a fish and don't mention the price" ploy. They charged 50 euro for a roast fish that didn't quite fill two of us up. In a small fishing town! Lesson learned: ask the price...

Great value room in this old hotel. Parking was a problem....bit that is expected in the center of town. The staff were very helpful and breakfast excellent. This place is an old world hotel. We had a large room with large balcony overlooking the street right in the center of town.

On our drive from Barcelona to Santiago de Compostela we stopped in Pamplona for several days and then mad a short stop in Bilbao to visit the Guggenheim Museum. Leaving Bilbao mid-afternoon we decided not to drive straight through to Santiago de Compostela. We would need to spend the night somewhere along the way. Uncharacteristically, we did not have a...

Whilst touring northern Spain, myself and 3 fellow bikers stopped for 1 night in Ribadeslla and struggled to find a hotel. We found La Marina (on trip advisor!) and called ahead to check availability and pricing. The man I spoke to was very friendly, and after checking on parking explained that there was no parking – which with us needing...

Stayed for a week in a twin bedroom with a friend, to check out the great things we've heard about the coastal town of Ribadesella. We were really happy with how clean the room was everyday even after how we left it before the maid sorted it out. The staff were really friendly and always happy to see us. The...
