Beautiful place. Clean and comfortable rooms, amazing woodland setting, well-kept garden area. Conveniently located close to town but set behind the mountain in a lush valley and surrounded by pure nature. Elena is a wonderful hostess that cares about her hotel. Breakfast is generous, fresh orange juice, strong coffee, local pastry. Wi-fi actually works in the room. We loved it!

This is a find - well done Sawday! Elena is the most friendly and helpful hostess imaginable. We had a fine dinner and the best ever scrambled eggs from her hens for breakfast. Our room had everything we needed and plenty of space. Despite being overnighters en route from Santander to Portugal - and therefore not keen to dally -...

This is a complete gem for everyone but especially if you are travelling with dogs. The location is superb, ready access to the Picos, the Rio Sella and Asturias. The owner and staff are welcoming and relaxed, the rooms beautifully clean. There is an option to have an excellent evening meal if you don't fancy a trip out.

About a one and a half hour drive from Santander, so this was an ideal stop for us coming off the late afternoon ferry. A lovely peaceful setting, tucked below the Picos Europas but really easy to find, as it is just off the A-8. Elena was very welcoming, spoke excellent English and was always happy to help with local...

I fell in love with the place the moment we arrived, as did my wife. Not only is the location a pure joy, Elena put in a monumental effort to help us not only enjoy our time as her guest, but to enjoy Asturias overall. She gave us 5 Star service all the way. She even prepared dinner for us...

Bajo Los Tilos is one of the most special places where we have ever stayed! It is tucked away in Asturias just outside of Ribadesella in an idyllic setting that is breathtakingly beautiful and so very peaceful and tranquil. Elena has put so much love into every detail of this special place and goes out of her way to make...

Bajo Los Tilos is a gem. It's a quirky old building in a beautiful spot, sorrounded by mountains in a very traditional village. Although there's easy access to the main road, it's quiet and peaceful and a good place to explore both the Picos Europa and the Asturian coast. But the real attraction is Elena, who really knows how to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Its location it is a real priviledge. "Bajo los Tilos" is an old farm house nearly two centuries old. Steeped in history it retains original features and now completely refurbished it offers first class rural accommodation. The building has two floors. o-n the ground floor there is a reception, a lounge with fireplace, a dining-room and a small bar. The top floor is reserved for the 6 bedrooms the hotel has, all of which are double with en suite bathroom. Santianes del Agua is small and quiet village situated in the Ribera of Sella Valley. Here you will find the true "Asturias" a green paradise of forest, mountains and rivers with the sea lying a mere five minutes away. You can choose from a variety of walks from the hotel. You may climb to Mofrechu for spectacular views or visit The Tinganon Caves and hopefully cast an eye o-n the local fauna, including the well-know birds of prey. Should you however decide to take your car, we will advise you o-n local places of interest well worth a visit. You won't need a compass or a 4x4 because we are easily accesible via the N-634 main road as well as the main motorway of the Cantabrico ... more   less
