We visited The Black Horse for one night mid week. We were a party of four adults and booked for a family room and breakfast. Upon arrival our included breakfast was challenged as was the price that we had paid even though we had provided the booking confirmation. Went up to the room which was clean and had comfortable beds....

Had lunch here today and what a great choice it was, the portion was good, the chips were really thick cut and the haddock was huge, a beautiful piece of white fish complimented with a nice pot of peas. The service was prompt, polite and professional and reasonably priced at just £8.50, well recommended to make a stop here if...

Business Meeting and lunch for 7 people . A great welcome, lots of space in the upstairs meeting room. A screen and projector supplied. Fabulous buffet and regular attention from Marie and her team made the whole experience very relaxed and enjoyable. I recommend The Black Horse for business meetings. I had a business meeting in Leeds and rather than travel up on the morning of my meeting I decided to see if there was anything available reasonably priced. The Black Horse Hotel ticked the box. The hotel likes you to have checked in before 11pm as that's when the staff clock off, however I was going to be later...

When we first arrived on a Friday afternoon there was only one member of staff on duty who was making a whole round of coffees so we had to wait a little while to check in. After we were shown up to our room we came down and met the landlady, who was lovely and welcoming. The room was good...

For many years the Black Horse has stood proud on its corner in the centre of Otley. Imposing from the outside and full of architectural delight once you enter via the tiled foyer and on through the doors, this hostelry will not disappoint. There is a small step at the front which makes pushchair and wheelchair access difficult but an...

This is just a review of the bar, but I can't fault in terms of the quality of the food, drink, the surroundings and decor or the efficiency or politeness of the staff. And very cheap as well. Highly recommended.

The newly refurbished Black Horse Hotel is set in the heart of the friendly market town of Otley. Under new management from July 2014, the Black Horse is ideally placed in the heart of Wharfedale, just to the North West of Leeds and only 10 minutes from Leeds/Bradford airport. Otley is a great base from which to explore the countryside of the stunning Yorkshire Dales and the many attractions of both West and North Yorkshire, with Leeds being only a few minutes away and the beautiful Spa town of Harrogate only 12 miles away. The family friendly pub serves locally sourced food from 9.00 Am - 9.00 Pm, the specialities being fresh made, stone baked pizzas and burgers from our local award-winning butcher. We have 9 guest rooms, with 2 being family suites each with 2 separate bedrooms. All our rooms have newly refitted en-suite facilities.
