We arrived to check in and the receptionist was pleasant and helpful. We were given directions to our room as we were staying in a log cabin away from the main hotel - No 40. As we arrived at the building where our room was, an unfamiliar and deeply unpleasant smell greeted us. The smell continued when we opened the...

When we arrived at the spa we had to wait a good 15mins for a staff member to come and check us in. There were no robes left for us to use and so we again had to wait for these to be brought to us. This didn't happen until an hour into the experience and only then because we'd...

This was recommended by family and didn't disappoint, the staff were all really friendly, the food at breakfast and evening dinner were both excellent and the spa facilities were really nice. We were in a lodge which was a good size, clean and had everything you could need. On the whole it was a really good break and I would...

Lovely quaint hotel with beautiful woodland surroundings... Our room was unexpectedly a log cabin in the woods (Room 56) which was effectively a suite with bathroom, lounge, double bed & separate room off with bunk beds.... Short walk through woods and we were at the bar & restaurant and a shorter walk around the lake (full of fish and ducks...

I visited here with friends for a much needed spa day. It is a lovely hotel and spa in a beautiful setting. It is very reasonably priced and a great place to relax. We had a lovely day together and you try to overlook the things that went wrong. But there were drawbacks to this bargain. Too many booked in...

if anyone is thinking of booking for a relaxing, romantic night way. DON'T!! Stayed 2 years ago, Bishops Dale log cabin, was amazing and bought on group-on for £69.00 ( included dinner) booked at £150 and got allocated a "bed in a shed" you don't get your own log cabin, its shared between 3 bedrooms. checked in a 3pm, and...

I had my hen do here in July this year, the spa experience and treatments were amazing, however we had also booked for an afternoon tea and were disapointed with this. There was a wedding going on at the same time and the staff repeatedly attempted to direct us into the middle of the wedding party in our robes which...

When we booked our daughter’s wedding at the Chevin Park Hotel we expected it to be a successful and enjoyable event. Our view was based on a previous wedding we had arranged there some 11 years ago. However, despite this considerable time gap our expectation was not just fulfilled but exceeded. We had begun planning in January this year and...
