Hola! Thanks a million for your review!! It was an absolute pleasure to host you guys. So glad that you decided to add on a trip to Juayúa, to El Salvador, and to Casa Mazeta :) We also feel that a trip to Centro América without El Salvador is a terrible shame, it is now a must visit destination! We...

The hostal is quiet nice, good kitchen and garden to relax. Unfortunately there is only one toilet for the whole hostal which on top of that is in the bathroom. A booklet with plenty of useful information of the ruta de la flores is available They promote cheap massages by a blind lady. Although I didn't have any problems, I...

Hola, thank you for your time in reviewing Hostal Casa Mazeta. A very important thing to correct is that the shared bathroom is NOT for the whole hostal, but shared amongst those in the only dorm room we have. The other 3 rooms we have are with private facilities and so do not use that shared bathroom! Whilst we appreciate...

I've stayed here for 2 nights to visite the area of the routa de las Flores. The Hostel was the perfect place for relaxing (in the hammok), there is a nice kitchen and a creativ garden. The dorm (6 beds) has enough space and even the hot water in the shower is working sometimes ;) Additionally the hostel has a...

Hello, thanks for your review! Wonderful, peaceful, relaxing times in comfy hammocks - that´s a big part of Casa Mazeta´s charm! The hot water in the shower should always be hot, if not, then be sure to mention it. Takes a few minutes to replace the resistor coil ;) Happy onward travels, Darren y La Casa Mazeta

Glad we found this place on the internet, was a great place to stay and would recommend this place to anyone. Offered waterfall tours, Bbq's on the open flame out back and even had a cool light star in the private room.

Hola guys, thank you for your review. Waterfalls tour is always a huge success, so glad to read that you enjoyed that. The Bbg pit is available to anyone who cares to spark it up, plus we like to cook on there most Wednesdays ourselves - so come and join us when you can! Thanks again, safe and fun onward...

This is an ideal spot for travellers looking to form base in the beautiful village of Juaya for 2/3 days or longer. The beds are great, lockers are provided, the large kitchen is great, the location is good, and there's an excellent leisure area to socialise, eat, and watch movies. I love it.

Great little hostel with dorms and private rooms. Big lockers, stocked kitchen, tv room with hundreds of movies to choose from and outdoor garden for relaxing. The best part is the owner Daren, he knows everything there is to know about El Salvador and is always happy to chat. Probably the best customer service I have experienced when backpacking Latin...

Hola! Thanks for your very kind review Great description of our cozy hostal, it is just the way we want it. It must be said, I am extremely humbled to read your words about myself - I have lived in El Salvador for 11 years, part of that time spent as a bilingual tour guide, so I do know much...

A really well thought out hostel with a great kitchen and helpful owners. A great place to visit "the route de flores". Head out on the waterfall trip and ensure you are there for the food festival on the weekends.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in one of the double rooms. Our room had a large patio with a cool outdoor shower and toilet. Didn't spend too much in the room though since the common area is the hangout place. Big kitchen with everything you need. And the hostel is small so you will get to know everyone else quickly....

There's nothing to dislike about this place; super friendly owner and staff; roomy dorm with huge lockers and comfy beds; excellent places to relax both inside and out (heavenly garden); well equipped kitchen; stacks of dvd's; great location - quiet but short walk to main square and buses;lots of quirky bits and pieces. Hard to leave.

Very friendly and helpful staf. Great tours ("7 waterfalls", coffee finca,...), booked with their help. Many books, movies, games, etc. in the hostel. Great atmosphere in the common room. We loved staying here and would recommend the place.
