Alejandro and Wendy make staying here so relaxed. Good conversation and great food. The rooms have really comfortable beds and lovely warm duvets. A great base for walking, with a great breakfast to set us up - so nice to return to a roaring fire.

What a find. Wendy & Alejandro made us very welcome for 5 nights whilst we were on a mountain biking holiday. The food was excellent and the hosts great company, nothing too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I loved our brief stay at los Berchules, and really appreciated the beautiful location and warm and friendly welcome. Wendy and her son Alejandro strive to create an oasis of peace and relaxation, and it really works! Our room enjoyed wonderful views to the south. We will return soon.

Well situated in Berchules, this cozy family operated hotel has nothing to envy from larger chains. The friendly staff will make your stay feel like home, offering multilingual conversations, hiking trail tips and excellent food and drinks. Rooms are great, with very comfortable beds and a nice balcony. The outdoor pool area is welcoming, as is the front patio area.... More

Such a warm welcome from Wendy and Alejandro to this very comfortable hotel in the Alpujarras. Room with a wonderful view from our balcony, delicious local cuisine and friendly service. A really good base for walking & horse riding (files full of walking notes for the area). Interesting local wines and great G&Ts!

Thank you Wendy & family. We had a lovely week at Los Berchules. The twin rooms are simply furnished, clean and comfortable with balconies and a view to take your breath away (the single rooms are quite small, but as I've always said- does it matter when you're asleep?). Alejandro's food is delicious, varied and beautifully cooked, and offers a... More

Comfortable rooms with balcony with great views, garden with pool. Excellent food and very nice owners, who make you feel at home. They give lots of information and descriptions on good hikes in the surrounding mountains. You meet other hikers here! We planned to stay 2 nights but stayed 5! We will defenitely return here!

I organised a group of 22 friends to go on a walking holiday to Spain, and started the organisation 9 months ahead of time. Based on reviews, I fairly quickly found Los Berchules and started liaising with them by email. Alejandro and his mother Wendy always were very prompt (and patient) in dealing with my enquiries, and when April came... More
