Very friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is exceptionally clean throughout and very comfortable. Breakfast has plenty on offer and includes some local products. We stayed here in late September, so at a quiet time of year but the staff were always on hand to offer advice.

Beautiful hotel in country side. You may need to drive long narrow suburb roads to get there.
The hotel has separated building for guest rooms which are very cozy and quiet, also well equipped.
Staffs are very friendly and nice to guest.
Although worry about the hotel location, we enjoyed travel (by car) to St. Malo (20 min.) and Mont Saint Michel (45 min.)
Also, breakfast was delicious and worthy for extra paying.

Hotel is nice, in a nice quiet setting. Our room was nice although right ON the pool so guests in the pool would actually be looking into your room while in the water..
however you want to make sure you don’t go here with your dog as they charge you a humongous €25 (!!) daily supplement if you stay with your dog. And to be honest it’s not like they spend a whole lot of time cleaning the room, at least while you are there...

We stayed in one of the cottages, although the surroundings were lovely when we walked through the door of the cottage it was like walking in to the 1970's the kitchen and bathroom were disgusting and the cupboards were full of random kitchen items that nobody would use yet there wasn't a mug or glass in sight, although it had been cleaned it wasn't cleaned well and the whole place just made us feel grubby, it probably wouldn't cost that much to bring it up to modern standards.

We chose la Malouiniere because of it's promise of hotel facilities combined with the flexibility of self catering for a family (2 adults and 2 children) Our arrival was promising, the grounds are well kept, the receptionist welcomed us warmly and the pool was inviting, but the cottage was disappointing and very expensive. The hotel is located outside St Jouan des Guerets and you will need a car to go anywhere if staying here. The kitchen was really a small passage offering no more than 30cm work surface between the sink and the two hot plates. The small kettle was located on a narrow high shelf with flex trailing down towards the plug - really dangerous. Fairy washing up liquid had been left behind courtesy of a previous occupant as had the "lavender" tea towel. Glasses and crockery were a random mixture including some Nutella style glasses. The oven was in fact a mini oven with quite a few crumbs inside. There was a compact dishwasher but we would have appreciated some detergent so that we could use it. The bathroom was fitted out with a brown 80s style bath and sink. The tiny living room had an old cheap bed settee with a sort of quilt over it. The slope of the ceiling in the master bedroom made it difficult to get in and out of bed on one side and clothes storage facilities in that room were ramshackle. We were not expecting any kind of cleaning but in fact this did happen to a greater or lesser extent on most but not every day. Given that the hotel staff were entering the cottage we would have expected a safe to be provided. These things may seem petty but we were paying 198 Euros a night and expected somewhat better. The hand me down and makeshift approach to furnishing the cottage whilst charging such a price made me think the owners were having a laugh at our expense. On a positive note wifi was better than we expected and the baker's in the village was excellent.

Please do not go here if you have young children. Staff non attentive. Rude. No fan in small family room. Curdled milk if any at breakfast. 14 euros for cereal and toast. No dinner. Lunch 14 euros for an egg and salad. Never again. No ambience. Not fun.the hotel has nice grounds but no life and no customers

I can not leave this comment unanswered: When you arrived, you seemed irritated by your children who were very rowdy. You asked for food, we offered you an omelette with tomatoes, lamb and mushrooms at 9.90 € instead of 14 €. Breakfast is 14 € for adults and 9.90 € for children. Your children had to take again to avoid that they transform the buffet in disaster. It was not only toasts and cereals, but eggs, fruits, sausages, various breads and pastries. ..They have eaten and leave some fruit leftovers on the buffet ;;; eggs half eaten, it is true the person responsible for the breakfast had to intervene. I will stop there. Your children came out of the pool and soaked went into the hotel reception ... It is unfortunate to write false comments simply in order to harm the establishment and hurt the whole team who gives a lot for the good reception of our guests;

A clean and welcoming hotel with pretty grounds and a pool. We stayed in a cottage which was comfortable and clean although not in their same sumptuous style as they reception. We came for an overnight stop before catching there Ferry but wished we had stayed longer. There children loved the games room and crazy golf. Parking was plentiful and bringing the boat was not an issue. Staff were lovely and spoke good English. On the minus side there was only a small seating area indoors and no bar. Definitely recommend.

It could be a great experience... This hotel seems more like a b&b. The hotel could be very nice: it is an old maison with a big garden and pool. Unfortunately, the room are very small, quite dirty, and the quality of the fornitures is low. Breakfast is simple, without a particular care in the presentation of food.
We met only two people working there, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and they weren't particulary available. The hotel is 10km far from saint Malo.

This was the night of our holiday. The night before, for the same price, we had had an excellent night in a Chateau in the same group near Riberac.
I asked for a twin room as I was with my 17 year old daughter. On arrival we realised we were the only people in the hotel. We were told there would be no staff from 7pm until 8am the next morning. As we were leaving at 7.30 we would not be able to have breakfast. Also we should settle the bill now. Everything seemed so negative from the start.
Then when we saw the room, which was half the size (and remember the same price!) of the previous night, and a Double not twin bed. I explained we had asked for and needed twins for obvious reasons. The receptionist understaood but said there were no twins and she would see what she could do. That was the last we saw of her. We went for a meal to St Malo (the last hotel had a beautiful restaurant this one had none) and on our return had to set to seperating the heavy duty velcrow to make two beds and then shared the two double sheets (we folded them to make a single top and bottom) and then chose between the blanket and the duvet.
They could have offered us another room at the very least.
Bad experience
