We stayed in the self-catering cottage over the new year period after we had been told about it by a friend. We arrived to a friendly welcome from one of the owners who gave us a tour and answered our questions – although everything we asked turned out to be in a handy file provided. It also included a list...

This is definitely the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in. The welcome could not have been warmer and Tim is a perfect host. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the garden( and chickens). Breakfast was delicious, we visited the farm shop Tim uses to buy supplies to take home!

My partner and I decided to go away for a belated Valentines treat. We stayed at School Cottages for 2 nights...we wished we could have stated for longer! We arrived late on Friday evening where we were greeted by Tim, the owner. Even though it was Tim's birthday he had delayed his evening plans to greet us! Absolutely lovely man,...

This was our fourth stay at School Cottages and it was just as good as the previous times. We received a wonderful warm welcome again from Tim with tea and biscuits in the lounge in front of the fire on arrival. Everywhere here is spotlessly clean and we always enjoy the lovely showers and especially the wonderful freshly cooked breakfasts...

Red tulips in our room to make us feel special. A totally guest dedicated proprietor(Tim) that reads wishes from his guests eyes. Rooms spotlessly clean and sparkling, log fire in the...

Spending time at this charming and immaculate B&B is heavenly, the welcome is warm and friendly. From the time of arrival you are made to feel pampered. In summer you can enjoy a stroll around the peaceful garden, inspecting the hens that provide your breakfast eggs. In winter you can enjoy the cosy open fire in the lounge. Situated within...

After a great stay earlier in the year we recently re-visited for a one night break between a busy Christmas and New Year. Room clean and immaculate, breakfast so delicious and Tim very welcoming and hospitable. Totallly relaxed environment - we bought a bottle of wine with us which we enjoyed in the guest lounge by a roaring log fire....

Having never done a trip advisor review before, this review is testament to our stay at school cottages. A warm personal welcome, immaculate rooms and facilities and incredibly cooked locally sourced food. The gardens were in an amazing condition and the animals were a great addition. Absolutely first class stay in every department!
