Something about this place really helps you slow down.  Maybe it is the green courtyard. Maybe it the 'great Indian bucket bath' set up in the bathroom. Maybe it is the rooftop massage room. Probably a combination of many such things create a perfectly serene and soothing atmosphere. So, if you are looking to but a break on your hectic...

Gratitude can take you back to a time of excellence of architecture. The beautifully restored building creates a feeling of calm and rightness by the well-kept building, courtyard and plants. Everything is both artistically pleasing and efficiently useful. Each room has a unique character and is both lovely and comfortable. I felt very relaxed while there, almost meditative. There is...

peaceful walks along the unscathed French colonies followed by a quiet and calm evening at Gratitude - A local feel and a strong spiritual side.I recommend this as one of the best weekend getaways if you are in close proximity. I was there over this weekend just love the simple and benevolent environment gratitude offers , and of-course the breakfast...

GRATITUDE is THE reason to go to Pondicherry for a holiday. Once there, specially during summer months, there is little need to venture out. We were there for three nights in May and enjoyed the relaxed and quiet atmosphere of this gorgeous home stay. Sid, our host, met us for breakfast every morning and we had great conversations with him....

It is on Rue Romain Rolland ,Pondicherry. Very popular place, a heritage home, only 5 rooms are there. Beautiful homely atmosphere. Rooms high ceiling. THere is place for reading books. Ancient type furniture are really attractive. Break fast in garden, open air. WE like the place.

Hello, thank you for your review, however we can't help but notice there are some factual inaccuracies re: number of rooms and breakfast/garden. Furthermore we cannot find any record of you having stayed with us in the month of April 2017. I'm afraid you may have mistaken us for the Coloniale Heritage next door which has 5 rooms. If this...

The love and effort that has gone into restoring this Franco Tamil beauty of a house is palpable every time you turn around and observe . More so when you hear about how the front bit was used as a cab booking centre with the rest boarded up and left to rot when they set eyes on it for the...

This was my second stay at Gratitude and just as rejuvenating (if not more) than the first one! The staff and management are committed to provide an unique experience. An additional attraction is the number of like minded people one gets to meet at the homestay. Don't miss out on the curated Ayurvedic bath products! :)

This small guesthouse is a delight. The building has been restored beautifully and is full of heritage knick-knacks and authentic furniture. There is a sitting room opposite the reception at the entrance with loads of books to read. You come into the courtyard which has a tree in the middle and a garden at the back. The breakfast table and...

Wonderfully restored to past splendour by the owners with INTACH and tastefully done, the place truly lets you appreciate the franco tamil confluence and takes you back in time. The staff are warm, welcoming and make sure your stay is wonderful. Yet this place is a no frills attached place right in the heart of French quarters, very close to...
