I stayed in this hotel in August 2018. The rooms were modern and clean. Beach and surrounding areas were nice with bars and restaurants. All-inclusive food was a let down with little variety, extra charges for half of the alcoholic drinks, and flies all over the food. Very small resort, so very crowded and hard to get a sun lounger. On the second day, I caught tonsilitis, which when speaking to other guests in the hotel I wasn't the only one. Would not say it was 4* more like 3*.

We have been coming to the Mediterrani for the last 3 years and although this year looked uncertain due to Covid, we did everything we could to get here after working non stop since March, even though our original flights got cancelled. Once again, we cannot fault it! The people at the hotel have been amazing. A special thank you to May, Lara, Birgrit (sorry if spelling is wrong) and everyone else we met over the years who work tirelessly to ensure we have the perfect time while keeping us safe at all times! We feel safer here than we do back home in the U.K. Yes, it is different this year but the Mediterrani and Cala Blanca are definitely on top of it. We cannot fault the methods put in place to keep everything clean and organised. We wear our mask in communal areas and disinfect our hands regularly with the bottles spread out all over the hotel to help keep everyone safe which isn’t an issue as it helps this wonderful place and people stay safe! A holiday is what you make of it and once again, thank you to the Mediterrani for making it so special! We are looking forward to come back again next year, if we are able to.

My wife and I vowed never to holiday in the same place twice that was until May 2015 when we went to Menorca and this hotel. It is clean, the food is great and the staff are first class. We now visit this hotel every year in May and but for Covid-19 we would be there right now! The beach and bars and the walks are beautiful and only 10 euros for a taxi into Ciutadella which itself is beautiful. I cannot wait to go back and have already booked for May 2020. See you soon, I can’t wait, I love and miss this beautiful island and it’s lovely people x

- We flew with TUI and our flight was at 6:25 from Stansted. The flight was on time, really smooth, nice hospitality, smooth take off and landing. We met TUI reps at the exit of the airport once we had collected suitcases and they gave us our coach number for our transfer to our hotel. It took a while to gather everyone on the coach and leave, roughly 40 mins. We had to go to two hotels before we got to our one, therefore the journey ended up taking 1 hour and 30 mins. During that time, we saw what Menorca had to offer which turned out to be fields, rocks, dried grass, and abandoned, graffitied houses. The closer we got to the hotel, the nicer the area got, making my partner and I more hopeful in how our holiday would turn out as during our transfer it created us to think the worst and begin to worry about what we were in for. - We arrived at the hotel which turned out to be lovely and we got checked in and was able to put our luggage in our room straight away. We went for a walk to get some knowledge of our surroundings which resulted in not much at all. There is a beach across the road which is lovely and has lovely, clear water which is beautiful. There is also 4 restaurants over there which overlook the small beach. To rent 2 sun beds for the day cost €18, however there were lots of people with towels and umbrellas on the floor close to the water. - Over by the beach there is a small diving centre where you can do snorkelling etc. However we did not find out the prices. There is also a pharmacy, a lilo shop, 2 small basic food shops, a few restaurants, and a cocktail bar a 10 minute walk up the road which is handy if needed. Other than that there is nothing to actually do activities wise unless you travel across the island for it, therefore if you are looking to be active rather than dividing your time between the hotel and the beach, this is not the place to go. - Hygienic hotel and room however could be improved. Used hand sanitisers to wipe the table and chairs on the balcony and it makes anything you put on it grubby. For example I put my swimming costume on there to dry and when I got it a few hours later it had brown marks all over it. - We had sea view room which had a lovely view, good sized room. Double bed (two singles together). However, the floor in the room made our feet feel dirty, therefore showing us it is not regularly cleaned. This meant for us to feel clean we would have to wear shoes around the room. - Lack of detail and explanation of how the hotel runs on a day to day basis, for example TUI did not inform us that we needed to pay €46.50 tax to the hotel when signing in after arrival for a weeks stay. - TUI on their description also stated that the room has a safe, which it does, however there is no information from TUI nor the hotel that the safe will cost €36 to rent for a week plus €10 tax! - If you have a sea view room, you hear all of the noise from each day as you’re overlooking the pool etc. you can hear in your room the music playing all day, therefore if you struggle to fall asleep with noise you will be unable to have a nap during the day or an early night if the entertainment is on. - On the balcony of our sea view room the entertainment is extremely loud, especially when microphones are used as it sounds like there is a speaker just above our balcony. The entertainment was good, was very family orientated which is great for families, however the level of noise was louder on our balcony compared to actually being in front of the stage. - During the day where the food hall is close, the outside bar has constant queues and each drink is the size of half a pint in a plastic cup. We paid for an all inclusive, however there are drinks and foods which you still have to pay for, for example the hotel provides their own cocktails, however you get 6 out of the 12 free. Ice creams you have to pay for as well if you want a full sized ice cream, however you can get the free ones which are in very small pots. White, red, and rosé wine was provided free in this all inclusive, however for beer drinkers only one beer was available and it was a brand that we had never heard of before. - drilling at 7 o’clock occurred on two occasions waking us and others up early, therefore if wanting a lie in it is affected if you’re a light sleeper. - Plastic cups left all around the hotel (even though cleaners are constantly walking around) on the above floors by lifts attracting flies. - Good selection of food for all main meals and a great snack bar. Lots of choices and a wide range of foods including fruit, cheeses, salad, and desserts. Overall, please don’t waste your money as you are stuck at this hotel with nothing around you other than the hotel and a beach.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review of your holiday. We regret that you did not fully enjoyed your stay with us and our nice island and we apologise for any inconveniences regarding our services. We are sorry to know that our cleanliness was not up to your liking. We will investigate your comments, as our hotel is usually really well rated in aspects such cleanliness. We follow a strict procedures in how we clean and how often, to offer the highest standard and we will check our records during your stay to see if something unusual happened. We are sorry that TUI did not informed you properly about the ecotax and the safe costs. Both are not included in our prices and should be payed on arrival. The ecotax is fixed by the local government and we are forced to charge for it to all our guests. The safe is optional, and guests willing to use one have to pay a small fee. We regret that your travel agent did not informed you properly about this two concepts. Regarding the plastic cups, we use them in outdoor areas in order to avoid injuries. We have bins placed all around the hotel, but we are not obviously responsible of other guests behaviours. As you well said, we have an army of cleaners that work hard during all the day to keep our hotel in pristine conditions. We will take good care about all your comments regarding our hotel and we will do our best to improve our services. Unfortunately, we can't do much regarding services provided outside the hotel. Thank you again for your time in writing your comment. We do have other hotels on other Islands that might be more your scene, and do hope you might try another Globales. Kind regards Globales Quality Manager

There was also a great selection for less picky eaters overall it was the best holidays ever!
