The place is nice enough but they connive at every opportunity to pocket your money. At checkin, they wanted a 17% tax. In my travels throughout this state over the last fourtt years, not one person has ever mentioned taxes. The tour book for the region (published in 2008) referred to a full buffet breakfast. Apparently once they got in... More

We just returned from six nights at Quinta Don Jose. We chose this delightful small hotel because of all the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed! The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff can't be overstated. Never have we experienced such warmth from hotel personnel. Any question we had was answered thoroughly. Never a feeling of being... I returned to QDJ and had another wonderful, fun & relaxing stay with a friend. The staff is the best, so welcoming and helpful! You feel like part of the family. The atmosphere is beautiful and tranquil, the rooms very clean and well-appointed, and the restaurant makes delicious food. Such a nice area. I will come back and continue to... More

The comforts and personal service of a bed and breakfast with the privacy and space of a small hotel. Our group had three separate rooms/suites as we were there for a wedding and they were all unique and comfortable. A walled compound made it a safe place for my toddler to roam. Beautifully landscaped. Very quiet. Staff were lovely and... More

I've stayed there 4 years ago and liked it a lot - but it has even improved - something that doesn't happen very often! It is absolutely recommendable: the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, the relaxed and cozy atmosphere, the beauticul decoration and garden with swimmingpool, and the nice food. All of this made it a perfect stay.

Lovely small hotel with11 rooms, well situated to shopping, restaurants and sightseeing in El Parian (the heart of the city). The bilingual staff truly understands the meaning of "service", which is provided beautifully. The hotel has some rooms that open onto a pool, while others are in the interior of the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant and bar with... More

I am finally getting around to writing this long overdue review. My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 10 nights on our honeymoon last May.
