We were traveling as two couples and had rooms side by side. An excellent stay within a short distance from Dargaville for dinner and a short drive down to Baylys Beach. Property is well maintained and the most beautiful Continental Breakfast was provided as part of the deal. Owner Pam was just lovely and best regards to her.

We stayed at the Sunset Lodge Baylys beach on Labour weekend 2016. We had a group stay as most of our group were playing in the Maori Golf tournament so we booked out the lodge. This is such a lovely and clean motel. The owners, Neil and Pam are lovely people. They went out of their way to make sure...

We stayed here one night and would have liked to stay longer. Very friendly and helpful owner. Clean and beautifully presented rooms with very comfortable bed. Good continental breakfast. Short drive to a beautiful beach and sand cliffs. A photographers delight! A 10 minute drive to Dargaville which has good restaurant called blah blah. Would happily come back here and...

We had the pleasure of staying here for two nights. The hosts were very welcoming. The rooms were spotless and well set up and very warm for our very chilly weekend! Highly recommend this place! Baylys Beach is a great place to explore.

Average, expensive linen and cheap/worn beds that could use replacing. Hospitality lacking, seems like there is a lack of interest. Its a pity as it has good views, tidy rooms and a decent location. The room manual could do with a spell check.

We really enjoyed staying here. We were made to feel welcome and would definitely stay again. The complex was clean and tidy. The room was comfortable, clean and inviting. Shower pressure was good. The TV was small however. A lovely place to stay.

We stayed overnight in a modern unit with ensuite and it was a great place to relax after driving from Opononi. Our unit was clean and tidy with excellent facilities. The manager was friendly and obliging and supplied us with a portable bed for our 7yr old son who had a great time in the swimming pool. We had a...

The hotel was great, the host was very personable. He was great to talk to and gave us some tips about the area. The hotel is close to the beach and has a great view of the sunsets. The location is secluded, and its very quiet.

The large room was clean, well equipped, attractively furnished with balcony overlooking the swimming pool and ocean views. We had comfortable armchairs and good lighting and a balcony looking over to the sea.

This accommodation provides nice clean and comfortable rooms with breakfast included. Our room had a nice private balcony area as well. It is in a good location and the host was most helpful and considerate. We would thoroughly recommend Sunset View Lodge!
