Bula and vinaka for your heartwarming review! We're absolutely thrilled to hear that you had such a memorable New Year's Eve with us, despite the rain. It sounds like you made the most of it with great company, card games, and some festive drinks by the pool! Thank you for choosing to celebrate with us at Mecure Resort—we’re so glad to have been part of your "best NYE ever." We can’t wait to welcome you back for more unforgettable moments! Regards,

We chose to stay at Mercure Gold Coast for our family getaway of 8 nights. The rooms are reasonable for the price (almost 1/2 the price of other establishments on the Gold Coast) and the facilities such as the pool, bar, and day spa suited our needs. The staff are great and housekeeping came everyday to service our room. The restaurant for buffet breakfast was good, however the options given each day did not differ the entire time of our stay. There are a lot of mosquitoes around the hotel so bring your mozzie spray. Beds are really comfortable and clean crisp sheets. We really can’t fault much here and we had a great holiday.

With the country going into lockdown because of the Corona Virus, checking in here was like checking into a morgue. We chose this resort mainly for the free parking as we had to vehicles.
The location is nice along side the river and it seems to be part of the Golf Course, which is great if you're a golfer, but otherwise quite isolated from restos, bars and beach, although with the current lockdown that's hardly an issue.

We had a green vege curry for dinner, which was yummy and reasonably priced at $18. For breakfast we ordered a big breakfast and eggs florentine, both really nice too. Baked beans were missing from the Big Breakfast, probably due to shortages in the Supermarkets.

The room was comfortable with a balcony looking over the river, set in a lushous tropical garden... not much to complain about here,

I will begin with things to note about the resort so as to manage one's expectations when booking rooms at this resort. The rooms are located across three levels in various blocks and are not facilitated by elevators. However, the resort has rooms on the ground floor to cater to people with mobility disabilities. Please enquire when booking your stay. The carpark is free to use by guests and spaces are unmarked. This could present a challenge as one may find yourself parking further away from your room. As the resort is located remotely from many amenities like convenience stores, restaurants, shops and supermarkets, be sure to stock-up prior to check-in if you do not intend to get out of the resort during your stay. Due to its location though, one can look toward a peaceful and tranquil stay amidst nature and fresh air.

Special mention to Hannah at front desk who welcomed me with broad smiles, polite greetings and swift check-in. Great Queensland hospitality. She even offered to send someone to assist with my luggage since my room was on the second level. However, upon reaching the foot of my block, no one was there. But it was ok as I slowly managed to get to my room.

Kudos to the resort for the special treat I received for my birthday. You made me feel very special.

The rooms are relatively dated but well maintained. very clean and tidy. The resort has two swimming pools, a gym, and tennis courts. It is a place I would recommend for families and couples for a great weekend away.

The restaurant serves a generous spread for breakfast and even at AUD30 per person, it is worth the money.

Mercure is part of the Accor Group of hotels. It has once again lived up to its good name in providing great hospitality and awesome service. Thank you.

After a very helpful start with the hotel appearing to assist with my change of mind and request, we arrived at the hotel. It then took 15 minutes to find us a room while we stood at counter waiting. We go to the room and it is not what I asked for so I rang reception to be told I would get a call back. After 15 mins I rang again, told they would call back, waited again not wanting to touch anything in the room, rang again, told they would call back. Finally got the call back and were advised they would change the furniture in the room. I said great so we are not changing rooms. Answer no, so we changed and went to the pool. While my partner came back to the room, reception rang again, we have to change rooms and there was no offer of help to do so.

The new room has a balcony overlooking the golf course but a pokey, stained and dated bathroom. And at night we had to keep the door to the balcony closed due to cigarette smoke wafting in. Advertised free WiFi but when we tried to connect was told we would be charged $10 per day. Had to contact Reception to have this fixed.

Food at the restaurant was good however we could not get a table before 7:30 pm on Thursday even with a toddler. Yet when we get to the restaurant there are many empty tables. Breakfast takeaway food was nice but then packed in very small container which made the Eggs Benny a soggy mess when taken back to the room.

Went to the pool Saturday around 3pm. Large very loud family occupied the spa the entire time we were there except when the adult males and teenage sons would come and dive bomb into the pool regardless of who was around.

People at event on Saturday night blocked all the footpath and exit from the pool and I was forced with my limited mobility to walk around and among arriving vehicles to get back to our room.

Visit spoiled by poor hotel management.

For a hotel that has professional sports stars and family staying it wasn't what we would have expected, After opening our room on arrival and that back end of the property and no warning that they had been flooded recently, our room was very musty and hadn't been aired or cleaned properly (spiders and webs in room and outside on balcony), brought this to management attention no real apology or offer of a room change, breakfast (buffet) was average for what we paid for, cold bacon and powered eggs, not much a cereal choice and if you wanted sugar on your cereal you had to rip open numerous single packets to get sugar. When our room was serviced next day the room was closed up again and not left open to air like we had left, tea and coffee hadn't been replaced, thank god we stopped to get our own stock that day. If you wanted pool towels you had to go to main building to get them, should be in the room with daily towels. Sorry wont be staying here again.

Stayed with the family, friendly staff, clean room of good size although a bit dated. No soap dish or ledge of any sort in shower so put your soap and shampoo on the floor. Buffet was horrible, very limited selection and no omelette or eggs to order, coffee from a machine that was very bitter obviously not cleaned recently. Nice hash browns and orange juice or fruits.
Won’t be back again.

A good experience large double room clean and over looking the golf course. Deal included breakfast (cheaper to book in advance) Breakfast was fresh and plenty to choose from. Good selection of beers both on tap and bottles, thou one staff member was very new to pouring beer. Very good pool with lots of seating (have two pools but only visited one) For those that like a little exercise the hotel gym, which is open 24/7 is outstanding. Sauna clans and room for 6+. Free wifi with good connection. Staff very good. Only down point was the cost but it was New Year’s Day, so to be expected.

Experience of a kind.

We chose the hotel to stay at for our Silver anniversary. We were presented with a lovely card and a bottle of Prosecco which was lovely. The Easter chocolates were a great bonus too. We were happy to receive coupons for 2 house drinks.

We were glad that our room was ready before 2.00 PM.

However as Accor members we were quoted $300 a night with breakfast (which was extremely basic). The GSA was going to charge me $1234 instead of $900. Difference of $334.

Lighting in Room 4032 was extremely poor hard on the eyes could not even read a newspaper. There are NO lifts in this hotel. We were allocated a room on the 4th floor. On top of that we needed to walk to the ground floor (another set of stairs) from the carpark. Daunting with luggage.

The common areas are extremely dirty. Stairs haven’t been cleaned for ages. Ceiling was very old and lots of spider webs etc.

Our room was however clean though we didn’t get our bath towels till the following day and the phone was not working for ordering food or contacting reception.

The amazing part is the staff. They work as a team and very proud of their hotel. They offered us an exceptional customer service. They were helpful and delightful and seem to really enjoy their job.

Special mention to GSA’s Sini, Kadin and F&B attendant Casey

The hotel is in a need of a really good clean and upgrade or refurbishment.

Having spent eight nights in total over three bookings in March at the Mercure Gold Coast Resort an easy way to sum it up is to say it was the most relaxing time spent on our recent vacation with all staff pleasant, friendly and very attentive.

The room allocated was spacious, comfortable and clean. Shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure and the beds were comfortable, ample pillows and other necessities ie coffee tea etc were available.

We utilised the restaurant for evening meals and could fault little, and that what we could was more to do with personal taste rather than quality, presentation or taste. The staff in the restaurant were excellent in service, friendly and approachable.

The breakfast setting was quite different to what we had been used to pre COVID times however both weekdays and weekends felt that a great workaround had been achieved to keep a fantastic offering available in a COVID manner while offering a good variety to cater for most.

There is a bar with an adequate variety of refreshments although not extensive, with plenty of seating around to relax with associates family and friends alike.

Overall a great place to stay, we highly recommend to our family and friends, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.
