We took our 2 girls here for a 2 night quick getaway.Everything from the staff to the quality of the rooms was spot on. The value for money is excellent and although there is no play area for the kids on site it is right across the road from a park smack bang on the broadwater. So not only do they have a great pool area but you also have the broadwater to swim in just across the road.Would definately recommend this for a family on a limited budget. Having everything on hand in the unit from a microwave to your own washer and dryer makes it an affordable holiday as you can self cater. Also being only mnutes from seaworld and Australia fair ensures there is something for everyone close at hand. Look forward to staying there again.

Arrived at Blue Waters at the end of our australian holiday - only staying for the last three nights. Wish we'd stayed longer. Nice roomy apartments with modern furnishings. The pool was lovely - lagoon-style and heated. The advertised spa was a disappointment - just some cold water jets down the shallow end of pool.
We had a large balcony which unfortunately only had a small 2person table!! The queen bed was older; very low to ground with creaky inner springs - but otherwise quite comfortable.
Loved the location in Labrador, with great proximity by car to surfers and seaworld spit etc.
Would definately go back and have recommended this property to others.

Unless you have photos of the ACTUAL apartment you are booking DO NOT book here.
Whilst securing a rental property during an interstate move, we booked a two bed/bath apartment for two weeks at Bluewaters on Marine Parade in Labrador. We have very quickly learnt that it’s common for holiday apartments on the Gold Coast to be privately owned which means it’s ‘pot luck’ whether the apartment you are allocated is up to scratch. I suspect the Strata use photos from the better maintained apartments. This would explain why the reviews are mixed.
Please see the photos attached for examples of the standard of repair and cleanliness we arrived to. I cannot honestly believe that this apartment is being leased in its current state. The fridge, oven, aircon and pedestal fan are WAY past their sell by date. There was a single aircon unit in the main living area (with a not so pleasant noise when operating). There are no ceiling fans at all and no extractor fans or windows in the bathrooms. One of the two pedestal fans supplied was older than me and could not oscillate. The oven is an old, actually ancient, element based unit and not effective for cooking. The fridge is small, missing shelves, rusty, unstable. The kitchen is stocked with a complete hodge podge of items and missing key things like a spatula, serving spoons, ice tray. The broom was disgusting with the added touch of toilet paper used to secure the handle into the broom head. There was no mop/bucket despite 80% of the floor being tiled nor a laundry basket. We requested a bath in the apartment as we have two little ones. There was a bath but no plug to fit. After presenting us with about 5 that didn’t fit, one was purchased for us.
There were holes and damage to walls and doors, mould in the window frames and thick layers of dust on light fittings and pedestal fans. I removed the fronts and washed them but I couldn’t do anything about the backs, so options for the bedrooms were dust laden air circulation or none. Did I mention that none of the curtains fitted? So much so that we relocated one curtain from the lounge to the main bedroom so it was dark enough for sleep (lots of light outside the bedroom).
On the positives the location is great for kids - several waterfront parks and playgrounds, and the Broadwaters are a short drive. The pool area at Bluewaters is pleasant, reasonably maintained (although some of the furniture has seen better days). They also had a blow up kids slide which was a nice touch. Service was inconsistent and only available if someone was on site. The weekly refresh of linen consisted of us arriving back to a pile of fresh linen and a laundry bag for our dirty items - so they didn’t even change the beds.
I am not surprised now that the terms of the rental included no refunds if a stay is terminated early. We would have cancelled after 24hrs otherwise. We’re super disappointed with this accommodation. You can get far superior quality at the same price so would recommend you look elsewhere.

I'll start with the good. Nice park across the road on waterfront. Waterfront nice and calm. Good pool. That's where the good ends. Balcony door very difficult to open and lock was broken. Oven works poorly. Dryer died. No racks to hang clothes. One bar of soap per bathroom and nothing else. Cockroaches everywhere in room but reception said they sprayed last week. Curtains don't fit windows so no hope of a sleep in. Towels, crockery and cutlery dirty. Mould on ceiling all through apartment. Shower tap fell off during stay. Towel rack broken. Walls need a good scrubbing. Under furniture filthy. Lounge covers peeling all over the place. One additional garbage bag provided. No broom, vacuum broken. Beds rock hard. Baby cot covered in mould and side collapsed frequently. Wifi appalling. Do not eat at the fish n chip shop up the road unless you like food cooked in a bucket load of burnt oil. Stay away from these apartments. Stay far far away.

We were charged $370 for an overnight stay and were given a room worth less than half this amount. From the moment we opened the door the room smelt like wet dog. There was mould in the bathrooms. The sliding doors to the patio were difficult to open due to the amount of dirt in door frame. It was dusty and the kitchen was poorly equipped. The furniture was very old and uncomfortable. The patio was very dirty and unusable. It was a very noisy apartment as backed on to main road so no view. Had very little sleep due to uncomfortable bed and the noise. Reception were disinterested when told how poor the room was. Visited a friends apartment two doors up at Ocean Shores which was $190 for the night and it was beautiful. I felt completely ripped off. Perhaps other apartment here are better but beware as for $370 night you might be given an absolute dog house like we were.

The facility is old and well over due for an internal building upgrade. This was our second visit, but sadly the facilities had gone backwards since our previous visit some 2 years previous. The outside facilities for a family were great. Great location. Apartment amenities and utilities need to be replaced. TV not working on arrival. Toilet seat required a plumber (housekeeper should have seen this need - 2 days later, repaired!!!). Laundry racks need to be replaced. No salt & pepper. Minimum pots for a family. Very cheap cutlery and lack of serving spoons and larger spoons/servers. Broken towel holder on bathroom door. No basin plug for bathroom. Minimal (abysmal) kitchen detergent and no dish cloth to wipe bench top. No bench cutting board and no sharp kitchen knife… latter all had to be bought to survive (live) there…. Not impressed and we were visiting from the Sunshine Coast with a Victorian family. It would have been more unsatisfactory for an overseas visitor…not impressed and will not return to this venue, albeit a great location.

2 bedroom apartment, doesn’t appear to have had any updates since the building was built. Only one aircon unit in the lounge room which looked about 15 years old, wifi was terrible, basically non existent. TV kept changing to a screen with some random woman with a credit card lying on a bed - this was when the TV was on ch 7 or ch 9……

I booked here as a last minute decision and honestly wished I had read the reviews before committing.
Only one conditioner in the main combined living/dining/kitchen. Oven in kitchen did not work so planning on using this through a spanner in the works for a quick meal.
Bedrooms have no access to balcony and we were at ground level.
There is more security to get in and out of the rooms and complex then what it necessary, which if you have people doing different things would require careful planning, as there is only one set of keys provided.
Rooms are dated and in need of some renovations and a good thorough clean.
Plus side beds are comfortable.

Unfortunately this apartment, room 25C, a 3 bedroom apartment, was quite poor.
See pictures, but there was a major safety hazard in our kids bedroom. An exposed power outlet that they attempted to fix with tape.
The place required a bit of maintenance and needed a good clean.
The pool was quite disgusting. See photos of sluge on top of pool.
Advertised with aircon. The portable air downstairs that is shoved in door way does not cut it.
Reception were helpful and polite. Thank you.

Hi Vanessa,
Depends on how far you want to walk and which town... there are a few shops, restaurants within 5 min walk but to go to a shopping mall or Surfers or strip I would suggest take the car. I have only stayed here with a vehicle.
Hi. There is water straight across the road from Appartments. Plus you can go five to ten mins up the rd to the pelican park. There's like a water play area for kids.
Hi Amy, Thanks for your enquiry. We are only working on small sections of the building at a time and your apartment will be well away from any scaffolding or painting. Give me a call if you wish to discuss in detail.
Dear Haylz, Wow, I did not realise it was so long since I did my last review response - just seems like yesterday. I have been responding for many years.... need to get caught up. In my defence, we have been extremely busy with very high occupancy since the beginning of Sept last year and are just coming up for breath. Let me know if you have any particular questions and I will answer them promptly. Cheers. Darren
Hi there. Blue Waters Apartments is a 3 storey walk-up. There are no lifts. Have a good day.
