Great location in a quieter part of the Gold Coast. Room was clean and functional. The best part was the view. About 1km walk to nearest coffee shops and restaurants however it’s all along the water front. Plenty of secure undercover parking . Building permanent residents we met were friendly

Lovely place to stay, the ladies at reception were really nice, the rooms and views were awesome, we would definitely stay there again, such a great spot, sauce, steam, spa, pool and the beach across the road.

Really bad room with a view. See photos. We are avid travellers and visit the Gold Coast quite often. We are also both involved in the travel industry. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Apartments from 23/12/2021 to 1/1/2022. We made the booking via Booking.com and for this 9 night stay we payed $4063.50. This equates to around $450 per night for the 2 of us. When we first arrived in the room we were greeted by someone else's dirty socks left in a corner. Also we found the tap in the bathroom basin was not working. We called reception who said that they will contact the maintenance man to come and fix it. It was quite a long wait before the maintenance man arrived as he had already gone home for the day. Very inconvenient for us and not a great start to our holiday. As per attached photos we found generally this 2 Bedroom Apartment to be in disrepair, damaged, tired, dirty and mouldy. Eg: Dirty socks and rubbish left on the floor Damaged and stained sofa Cracked basin with very tarnished old taps Rusted and dirty cabinet hinges Kitchen power point that is cracked, dirty and not attached to the wall securely Outdoor furniture that is mismatched and very dirty Exposed and rusted and leaking air-conditioning unit Plaster missing from the wall Damaged tiles Vent hanging from the ceiling Doorstop missing completely Very dirty flycreens and frames Large amounts of mould on the kitchen cabinetry Paintwork peeling on the cornice Heavily stained bed side cabinets Damaged TV table Upholstery damage Badly stained toilet Damaged architraves Damaged soap holder in the shower Very old, dirty and used frying pans Exhaust very dirty and covered in dead insects Very old and used kitchen implements Door handle hanging off the bedroom door Guest Information booklet very old and bubbled Damaged and marked internal timber louvres Ceiling paint drips on lounge wall Dirty kitchen cutlery drawers Dirty verandah door frames Marks on the interior of entrance door Other things not mentioned on this list For the whole duration of our stay our Apartment was not serviced even though it should have been. Our view is that the presentation of the Apartment did not match anywhere near our expectations considering the $4063.50 that we paid. Very disappointed!

We travelled as a group of 4 families so booked 4 seperate rooms. While three rooms were together in the 5th floor, one room was in the second. After 24 hours we were granted access to both floors. While it was disappointing for the family in the 2nd floor to not have a view, the worse part was the mould in the shower (this was also present in another room but not as bad). There was zero effort made to clean the mould from the shower previous to our stay. The washing machine and dryer had not been cleaned and the fridge wasn’t cleaned properly. There was also crumbs in the couch. Construction next door started at 6am weekdays which was a pain but no fault of Crystal Bay. The pool was nice and refreshing, sauna, steam room and gym were nice too. The rooms were spacious and comfy. Location was good, not much traffic with great cafes down the road. Great park across the road. Undercover parking included which was nice.

Perfect quiet spot to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise - only a few kilometers away - apartment living in a 2 bedroom clean and spacious unit with pool, kitchen, living and Finn g and large wrap around balcony - all facing the Broadwater/Spit overlooking Seaworld, right across the bay - underground security parking- not far from shops, harbourtown, petrol and Coles & McDonalds

We stayed in room 508 - first thing we noticed upon entry was a mouldy smell but the view captivated us. So we threw open the sliding door to the view and then we all hit the deck as what sounded like close gun fire. Geezus. It wasn’t, it was Jack hammers very close and omg - sound meter said 90db in the room. Yes - that’s dangerous levels people. Reported to management - might as well told the statue. They worst thing? They tell you about the construction AFTER you’ve paid the non refundable…nice, possibly illegal. Make the best of it we think, go to the heated pool…ummm yeah no, heated just above freezing is not heated. Screw it, we’ll go watch Austar and turn on the subtitles…um, no - you won’t do that either because almost every channel is glitchy and unwatchable. Reported that to management - “really? Wow, that’s weird..” - yeah, it’s weird could you maybe fix it ? Nope. Last straw was when we turned on the dishwasher to wash the already dirty plates….10 towels later, urgent call to plumber, water everywhere…what a debacle of a resort. Oh, and if you think the noise issue is sporadic? Nope - 6.50am x 7 days (despite what they tell you) - further complaint has to go to fair trading. My daughter spent a full day in bed because of migraine from the incessant and ongoing painful noise, I showed management a video (I hope to share below) they again, couldn’t give a rats. Photos below speaks volumes.

Extremely noisy construction on southern side of the complex - make sure your unit is on the northern side! Needs repairs Relatively expensive No coffee bar or restaurant within 500m Minimal tea/coffee provided On bus route - easy access to Australia Fair and Harbour Town shopping centres, Gold Coast University Hospital, and bus/tram to Surfers 30 minutes

Our family love staying here. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is amazing with beautiful views and walking paths/ parks e.g. Check in and out is easy with no dramas. We love the huge pull and spa this resort has to offer. We will always recommend staying here with family and children.

Disappointing. AirBnB has set the standard and Crystal Bat falls short. We stayed one night in a penthouse apartment, a premium location at at premium price of $700. For that, all you got was tea and coffee making facilities. Not even a box of tissues. We have become used to AirBnB where there is breakfast supplies, bread, tissues, a welcome pack of chocolates and wine perhaps. If you ran out of toilet paper a notice said more could be purchased at reception. And to add insult to injury, they only supplied 4 towels for the 6 beds. Very tight fisted.
