Great facilities. Kids would never be bored. Across the road from the beach, with great walking paths. Charis Seafood 5 mins walk where they feed the pelicans everyday. Lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops nearby..

Got booked into the Sandy Point Beach Resort at the last minute and was given a 2 bedroom very spacious room on the 6th Floor with a beautiful outlook and right next to the beach, shops and hotel.
The unit was extremely clean, big bedrooms , big lounge and kitchen with 2 bathrooms, laundry. The outdoor swimming pool was heated at a constant 31.5 degrease which was brilliant and the pool was deep. Its a pity the resort has be sold off and all units will be sold off to owner/occupants. If I was rich I would bye one of the units.

It's in a great location as it is outside of the crazy Surfers Paradise mess, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the resort is an older building, however it is well maintained, clean, ample parking and good facilities in and around the resort. I look forward to my next Gold Coast trip, because I know where I will be staying.... the Sandy Point Beach Resort!

Even though we were simply a couple, we could see that the facilities at the resort would appeal to a wide range of children, even teenagers. It is well located close to the Broadwater, restaurants and bus transport. We did not hire a car, preferring to take the Translink buses and the GLink tram everywhere, with a Go Card including the train to Brisbane. Just a few Uber or taxi rides helped with less accessible places. We were concerned that we would be arriving after hours, but that version of reception via the intercom phone worked well..An envelope with all the necessary info and keys was waiting for us in the safe by the front door once we were given access.

The resort was in a quiet suburb which is good for tranquility. However, it is also far from the supermarket and you really need to have a car or some form of transport to get to places. Beware though, the car park is limited and a few are for small cars only. There are street parking outside with a 2 hour limit during office hours and unlimited at night until 9am the next day. The resort is 5 minutes walking distance (through a short cut) to the beach. The TV's resolution is not good, the pictures are blur. The kichen amenities are fully stocked, we are happy with that. I would like to suggest that salt and pepper to be provided besides the coffee, tea and sugar.

Loved the quietness. No traffic noise and with a large, very busy Hotel within throwing distance, still quiet. Loved the three small balconies, each with a different view. Yes, there is a large building between the Broadwater and the site, but, for me, still plenty of Broadwater to be seen. Storage cupboards are vast in size. Close to bus Stop with frequent busses to Southport and beyond. Must admit in house parking is a bit tight, but hasten carefully and large S U V’s can negotiate the corners. Hopefully , I’ll be back.

Had a great time the reception staff were very helpful. We stayed here just as lockdown was beginning and everything was shutting down games room, pool, spa however we still managed to enjoy our stay. Location is good just leave the car in the car park as most things are in walking distance. We had a 3 bedroom apartment clean and tidy with great views. We will definitely return. A big thank you to the reception staff keep up the great work.

We have stayed at Sandy Point several times. The Resort has refurbished & maintained the property well. We have always enjoyed our stay there. Good but not great. The location generally to the broadwater is good, lots of walking tracks etc. Our main attraction for Sandy Point is CHARIS Seafood - 5 minutes walk away. The place is expensive BUT the seafood is great.

We recently had 3 weeks here. We love this place, spacious apartments and so close to everything the beach, restaurants and shopping. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. Nice pool, tennis courts and other attractions on site. The family can’t wait to get back there again and only 6 minutes drive from surfers and close to the theme parks.

Olathe, Kansas13 contributions1 helpful voteIs there a tour that goes to the Great Barrier Reef from this resort?
I wouldn't think so,you would need to fly north for several hours to do this.Have a look at Port Douglas
There is a small supermarket around the corner, with a Woolworths and Coles at Australia Fair Shopping Centre about 10 munutes away by bus. We have actually walked to Australia Fair from Sandy Point - a pleasant walk along the esplanade - but for a big grocery shopping trip, the bus is always available from the main highway one street away.
The main bedroom is well furnished with a full wall of built-in cupboards, a queen bed with bedside tables and lamps, a small flat screen TV and it's own bathroom with shower and vanity. The second bedroom has twin beds, bedside tables and lamps, and a built-in cupboard. Both have balconies, and there is a large second bathroom with a vanity, bath and shower over the bath. The bedrooms have recently been painted, and the standard of accommodation is excellent.
The room we were in did have a seperate laundry with a washer and dryer.
