I stayed at this fully self contained 2 bedroom apartment for one week. We were located on the third floor with sweeping views of the Broadwater. We requested a high floor despite knowing that there is no lift. I recently had a knee replacement and did not find this at all challenging. Whilst rooms are not serviced the resort managers are friendly and will provide any extra supplies upon request. Apartment includes washer/dryer and a full kitchen. Balcony with seating was a great place to take in the views. Location at Labrador is very quiet and wouldn’t normally be my first choice but was all that I could get at short notice through Classic Holidays. Car would be preferred however we used the bus to get to Southport and the bus tram to reach Surfers Paradise where there is shopping, restaurants and bars. Locally within walking distance there are some options like Thai, Japanese, Seafood and a service station where there is a mini mart. Overall a great stay.

Great location in Labrador for families with off street parking available for extra cars. Complimentary parking underneath apartments is fantastic, however do be mindful there are no elevators/lifts and depending on your room allocation there are flights of stairs to get up. There is a park with a playground opposite the accommodation. It is quiet at night and there is comfortable bedding. These apartments have all you need for a short getaway including aircon, a well equipped kitchen, in room washing machine and dryer, bathtub and a balcony overlooking the pool. We have stayed here a few years ago, this was our second visit and I would book again if we were to stay in the area.

We haven’t stayed at Golden Shores as we are their new neighbours. We recently moved into Windsong Apartments next door and are so grateful to the efficient management at Golden Shores. We approached the managers asking if they could possibly do something about a bright security light shining on our apartment. To our pleasant surprise they got the next available electrician to adjust the light to a sensor. If this is how they treat their neighbours I can only imagine how wonderful they must be to their guests! Thank you so much!! 🙏

The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen works.
If you are expecting more then that and a holiday club style of support and amenities this isn’t for you. The reception isn’t open half the time for support and the after hour support is hopeless if they don’t hang up on you. The bikes, kayaks and activities were only available till 12 midday.
The pool was freezing. We had an issue with the hot water in our room being barely warm enough on a warm day and cold on a cool day which they told us is normal but wasn’t in any other place we stayed on our holiday.
To top it off there was one 2.5 seater couch in the lounge and that was it. For a apartment that slept 4 people up to 6. Made it cramped.
Seems that it’s a bit run down and needs some revamping to really be a 4 star facility.

A pleasant small apartment complex in a nice quiet area of Labrador. The rooms are of a reasonable size, but the place is starting to look a little old. It has it’s own basement car park for one car per unit, but there seems to be plenty of free parking on the road.
If you are less mobile, then I would suggest you request a ground floor unit, as there are no lifts in the building, so your suitcases have to be carried up a few stairs!
There are a couple of cafes nearby for your morning coffee, and a 5 - 10 minute walk up the road are a few restaurants.
The centre of Surfers Paradise is about a 10 - 15 minute drive away (depends on the time of day).

We spent 3 weeks at Golden Shores and loved it. Location couldn't be better, and the apartment was well appointed. Our stay was most enjoyable, largely because we were located on the ground floor. No lifts, or air cond in bedrooms, which wasn't a problem for us.

Good unit style accommodation at a reasonable price. Bedrooms big enough plus a fold out sofa if needed. The accommodation is getting a little dated but it was clean enough and the pool area was great. Had other friends staying nearby in a hotel and they would much rather have been with us as they were paying twice the price for a cramped room with no amenities.

Quiet street across from park on the estuary of the Narang river. Surfing beaches and nightlife are on the ocean side of the spit. Fine with us, as we don't surf or bar hop. Clean, and mostly well maintained property, soon to be demolished and replaced with a high rise apartment building.

Yes ours folded out to a double bed, so I would assume all apartments would be the same. Web site also states yes, but you could always email them to confirm. Hope that helps
