We stayed in a renovated room on the 24th out of 25 floors. The view was great as were the rooms.
My parents stayed in a non-renovated room and you could tell it needed updating but they seemed to be happy with it.
We did have some small spiders hiding in the curtains so it could do with a pest spray.
The room was fully tiled (carpet in bedrooms) and the furniture was new.
Location wise, it’s right on the beach which was great, it has a pool (with a slide) and heated spa. There is 1 1/2 tennis courts on the grounds as well as a mini golf course (it wasn’t that great).
It is only just up the road from some restaurants, take away and supermarket, as well as a pub. Hit up a place called ‘The Collective’ it is great food and is a good place to meet up.

We went to both Sea World and Movie World, both were disappointing (especially Sea World) as a number of rides were closed for ‘maintenance’ during the school holidays as well as long lines (2 1/2 hour wait for some rides) that they are blaming on COVID, even though only 1 carriage out of 2 was running on most rides which doesn’t make sense to me. They are both about 30 minutes from the resort.
We also took a punt and drove up to Australia Zoo on one day which took about 2 hours.

We were pleased with our 2 bedroom apartment, with a light and airy kitchen / dining / living area, comfy and functional bedrooms (nice little veranda off the main bedroom). The views along Palm Beach and towards the hinterland were lovely from our 18th floor vantage.
It is great to be able to walk from the lift, through the nicely done pool area directly out to the patrolled beach - very easy and convenient. The pool itself is large with a sloping entry at one end making for easy access, plenty of space/lounges to kick back on, includes a (non-heated) spa as well. We also enjoyed making use of the tennis court (free with your own racquets/balls). A 3 min walk south from the entrance brings you to the nice little parklands area, with a park/playground, calm water and a great little cafe. Walking north along the main drag for 5+ mins brings you to quite a number of eating options (The Collective was a bit different and gives you 4 or 5 restaurants to order from in a fun environment), Coles, and other shops.
We had an enjoyable 4 day stay at the Royal Palm Resort and would happily recommend it for a relaxing stay in this quieter part of the Gold Coast.

Just stayed a week here with two teenage daughters staggering there stay,so 4 of us.
We new the unit needed renovating hence the cheap accommodation it was a bit rough around the edges. The view wasn’t bad, nice open kitchen and living areas. The unit had everything we needed for the week and within walking distance from Coles, bottlo, sushi, fish n chips ect very convenient and right on the beach.

The negatives of our stay were the shuffling of cars (we had 2 ) out on the street, you can park in visitor parking for 4hrs max so you had to park in a side street if you can find a park.
The Foxtel was convenient to watch a good movie after a day of swimming, fishing ect except the reception was absolutely crap on all the good channels.
In our en-suite the shower head had a few setting you could choose from but all settings just poured out like a half turned off hose.
Also the pool shuts at 4pm another few more hours would be better.
These negatives were miner but would have made our stay more enjoyable.
I would recommend Royal Palms for a visit mainly for the location.

I checked into Room L5 6D for a three-night stay and am appalled with the condition and amenities of the residency.

I reserved the 2 bedroom deluxe and noted that it included a 'modern' bathroom. In reality, the ensuite and bathroom haven't been updated since construction in the 1980s.

While I note that the room is stated as having 'partially-renovated' living areas, the condition of the bathroom isn't displayed or detailed on any section of your website.

The carpets in both bedrooms are threadbare and putrescent.

I was also shocked to find that a 'deluxe' room is not equipped with any form of heating or cooling.

Regarding cleanliness, the floor was filthy. It was caked in grime and I had to clean the entire tiled area on my hands and knees due to not having a mop.

Much of the crockery in the cupboard, including fry pans, serving bowls and grater were dirty with food still stuck to them.

The doonas were also dirty and one was smeared with makeup.

In summary, if I had seen accurate photos of the 'modern' bathroom I would have never booked this accommodation which has been abated by deceitful marketing, let alone the myriad of cleanliness issues.

DO NOT Stay here! especially if they give you unit 1c. Firstly the carpark lay out is ridiculous signs say carpark A,B,C wouldn't you think we'd be in C NO Carpark A and no lift so if you have a wheelchair you have to push it up the ramp to access the lift!
The unit was old and grubby with stains on the carpet and a strange smell. The flyscreen in the lounge didn't close properly and had a big hole in it. There were no curtains or blinds in the lounge so everyone playing tennis can see into your area and if you want to watch TV from the kitchen YOU CAN'T due to the glare on the TV for the windows. In the kitchen there was oil dripping from the range hood onto the stove top. The main bedroom had no air con or flyscreen so you had to keep the doors shut or get eaten by mosquitoes which had been previously squashed on the bedroom walls and not removed. The second bedroom HAD a flyscreen but the windows were nailed shut! We received a welcome letter on our arrival Sunday and it stated "A complimentary starter pack has been provided for your convenience, once depleted you will need to purchase additional items........" On Monday afternoon ( we had to wait until then as there was no one at reception when we left for the day at 8.55am) I went to reception to advise of the above. The young girl kept saying sorry and when I asked to speak to the manager the lady next to her piped up "I'm the manager".
When I re mentioned the above Sara sarcastically told me "I'll get housekeeping to come in on Tuesday and IF you really need coffee I can give you a satchet now"
Seriously the attitude was disgraceful and this is the worst so called resort we have EVER stayed in. Do yourself a favour and avoid there are plenty of other resorts located on the beach in this area. I just wish I'd chosen one of those :(

I would stay away from this apartment complex it is in very poor condition. we had a a 3 night stay here and ended up leaving one day early. The resort is a mixture of rental and permanent residents. The apartment we stayed in was very old supposedly renovated which we paid extra for. There floors were dirty the dishwasher wouldnt wash dishes no matter what setting. there was no way to control the air conditner remote was missing so set on 16degrees all night and the room condensated and was musty in the morning and the tiles were slippery, not good for kids as it was a slip and side. There was food residue every where in the apartment the furniture hadnt been moved in so long there piles of dust under them. The main bedroom doona had a hole the size of a cricket ball in it. Out child didnt want to shower in the main bathroom as it was black from mould. We spoke to the receptionist about the issue with the air con remote and all they did was turn it on permantly. there is n op parking if you have a high vehicle underground park has 2mtre high level. We had to move the car every 4 hours so not tobe wheel locked or given a ticket or towed away which ever they stated on their signs.
We emaild them our disgust and took them a week to reply, in which we stated everything to them with photos. And they have refused to return the extra charges for a superior room.
They have offered us a 20% discount on our next return however we feel a stay at a caravan park villa would be so more better equiped and fresher looking than this dull resort. This is supposed to be a $400 dollar a night apartment!!!!!

Not a great start. Someone else parked in our park, no one at reception (the "Back in 5 minutes" sign is misleading in a closed up reception office) and no one answering the "emergency" contact number. Not even a way to leave a message. Apartment not particularly well suited to families. No fans or air conditioning in the main room and the windows only open a tiny amount because we're so high up. We've moved the chairs off the narrow balcony (I don't want my young kids climbing on the chairs and falling over railing!) so at least we can open the balcony door. A small pedestal fan in the living room smelt like an electrical fault and let out smoke as soon as we turned it on so we're not using that! Great view and looking forward to the pool but the apartment is very hot and there's no way to cool the room down and no way to get in contact with anyone.

We stayed as a family, 2 couples with visits from another couple and a friend between 02/02/20 to 05/01/20. We had Unit 7E, a 2 Bedroom superior fully renovated and airconditioned unit. It was lovely in tones of white and light wood colours. Everything was excellent, plenty of comfortable furniture and great fittings, very well appointed for all of our needs. We used a BBQ on one evening, excellent. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. The nearby Dune Cafe is great for a morning coffee or a lunch. The beach is great, the lifeguards are on duty each day, doing an amazing job. All the people we met were very happy with the resort and the people who live there permanently clearly love it, cannot get better than that!!!!!! We will go back. I was able to see a 3BR unit on our checkout day for a later stay, Unit 25F, its a split level amazing unit with rooftop balcony entertainment area, really lovely.

We stayed here for a week and were delighted.
The complex is really well maintained, the pools very clean. There are plenty of loungers and parasols on the private beach by the sea.
The staff is really very nice and accommodating.

One day we went to the Aqua Center to book a snorkeling tour.
Very nice team, especially the boss Abo Raslan, explained everything to us perfectly and we were out on a boat for 5 hours and snorkeled on very beautiful coral reefs. Worth recommending

The room was putrid, hasnt been updated since the building was constructed. Furniture appears to have come from kerbside collection. I approached reception politely to ask if their was an alternative room.I was offered no solution. Its cheap I didn't expect a lot. Photos on booking sites are not accurate. They may be of one or two renovated rooms, don't take the gamble.
