Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We recommend checking in as soon as possible so that you can jump in the magnesium pool for a quick refreshing dip to kick-start your stay. After 15 minutes you will feel like you are on cloud nine and you haven't even hit the pillow yet!

Book yourself dinner at one of the fantastic restaurants within walking distance to the motel and pick up a bottle of wine on your walk home from the local convenience store.

Enjoy a glass (or mug) of wine in your mini-courtyard and then turn in for the comfiest sleep ever! The bed, pillows and linen are all top quality and the icing on the cake is the shower pressure, it’s spectacular!

The rooms are spotless and the owners are legends! This motel has the coolest decor and is conveniently located near cafes, shops and the beach!

Counting down the days to stay at the Mysa Motel again soon, highly recommended.

The Mysa Motel room we stayed in was very clean, very modern and rather minimalist. We appreciated the large, comfortable bed, the nice ensuite, and the space to move around. Although we were in the front room just metres from the highway, the sound of traffic was nothing but a background hum, and didn’t bother us at all. A couple of things could have made our stay more comfortable: instead of a bench seat under the window (which was not comfortable to sit on) a small table and two chairs would have been better. Though there was a supply of complimentary “treats”, we would have preferred a better supply of tea and coffee (they do have a minimum 3 night stay, so two tea bags and 2 coffee sachets were not enough). A couple of water glasses and perhaps even wine glasses would have been good, as there were only two coffee mugs in there for our convenience. Although the bathroom renovation was lovely, the shallow basin was not adequate for shaving. I hope these suggestions are helpful.

Palm beach is on the southern side of the Gold Coast, only 10 minutes from the airport and away from the touristy part (Surfers).

Room - nice, modern and clean and came with a few good quality snacks which is what you came to see in this review. Room has a new Samsung TV and AC as well as a ceiling fan.
The pool is nice and clean and uses magnesium in the water rather than chlorine which is nice and good for your skin.

Location - cross the road and you will find bars, restaurants and cafes, as well as a Coles supermarket within 2 minutes walking distance.
The beach is also only a 2 minute walk away

Downsides - no road noise at night but some during the day, and there are 6 on site car spaces but 7 rooms so be aware it's a first in first served basis. The room had 2 king single beds but we weren't able to connect them together.

Hi Mike, Thank you for stopping by and sharing your experience. We're glad you got "cosy" and enjoyed the Mysa Welcome Pack. We're fortunate to have two rooms (Bronte Pink & Daylight) which are our exclusive king single rooms catering to our buddy travellers. All remaining rooms at the Mysa feature Queen beds including two Queen options in The Merillo (our two bedroom self contained apartment). We can't wait to welcome you back home and share more Mysa memories with you soon.

We spent a week over Christmas and NYE at the Mysa and had such an awesome time! The room was so spacious, the bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful with great shower pressure, the kitchenette fit our needs perfectly and the pool (and pool area) was absolutely epic. We also loved the location and all the little touches which made the stay so memorable - the welcome pack, the key-less access to everything, the soft linen and towels, the comfy furniture and the lovely toiletries. It was the perfect stay for us and our little toddler and we will be back for sure!! Can’t recommend this gem of a place enough!

I stayed at the Mysa for a week in June, and was absolutely blown away by every single nook of it. From the restoration of original materials, to the incredibly chic and luxurious pool setting, to each and every room being meticulously styled and presented. Having stayed in a lot of the worlds' best properties, I was so incredibly delighted with what the team have done here.
My room was the Lilac Affair, which had a perfectly appointed little nook for working and morning coffee. The beds are to die for and the little touches do not go unnoticed - the laughing pug coffee, the popcorn, the spritzers.
I honestly would pick this little Oasis time and time again for it's style, and also ease of walking to the best restaurants and beach front!

The Mysa is a modern retro gem! Located in the heart of Palmy, the Mysa’s fantastic location means you’re just as close to retail / restaurants as you are to the beach. The motel itself was super easy to get to (12 minutes from the airport), easy to check in, and beautifully presented. Mysa gets 5 ⭐️ for cleanliness, in-room nibbles, and style. The beds & pillows were exceptionally comfortable (one of the best I’ve ever slept in!) and the bath/pool towels soft & luxe. Would have loved a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang towels on (I despite hanging them off bedroom & shower doors) but aside from that, can’t fault a thing! Highly recommend.

Hi Siska, We're so thrilled and thankful for your review. Your support and stay in our community really means A LOT to us. THANK YOU!!. P.S. We're going to let you in on a little #mysasecret! :) The little black circles and fixtures on our tile work in the bathrooms are our Mysa towel hooks. We know, totally incognito to the naked eye but we like to mix things up a bit and keep our guests guessing!! ;) We can't wait to welcome you back home for more cosy nights soon.

We had the most amazing stay at Mysa. The rooms are beautifully finished with luxurious details, and the pool facilities are amazing. The motel is in a great location, we walked to coffee shops and the beach and took quick Uber trips to great restaurants in the evening.

Don't let the small size of this motel fool you! It's so exciting to see a Gold Coast icon re-vamped and immaculately fitted out. Easy self-serve check in, thoughtfully furnished and thoroughly cleaned rooms with very comfortable beds adorned in beautiful linens. Welcome pack and filtered water is such a nice touch. I stayed in the yellow room for three nights - directly opposite the magnesium pool. A perfect position in Palm Beach, walk right to ocean, only 1 minute to the supermarket / bottle shop and a tonne of the Gold Coast's best restaurants and bars in walking distance. Will definitely stay here again!

Myself and three other girl friends stayed at Mysa for the weekend, we wanted a big enough place for us to get ready, and have a few cocktails before exploring the surroundings. Our room was perfect. The beds were comfortable and we were so impressed with how it was decorated. The pool was very instagramable.
Once we parked the car, we didn't need it until we left as everything is a barefoot walk away (cocktail bars, restaurant, Cafe, supermarket, liquor store).
We also had complimentary snacks and juices which was very much appreciated on the Sunday morning, after being out all night.
We can not say enough how much we all loved it here, we can't wait to stay again.
