We stayed here for 2 nights and overall were very pleased with our apartment. We never cooked but everything you needed was provided, washing machine and dryer were a god send. There were a couple of downsides, the carpets could do with a good clean and also there are only 2 sunbeds beside the pool. The pool area is small but there is definitely room for more beds or chairs. Other than that I would recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a very large balcony above the cafe. The room was very spacious with lots of living space, a well-equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Would have been nice to have clean windows to enjoy the view more. Great indoor pool and spa (also has outdoor pool) Very comfortable stay in a fabulous location, very close to shops, cafes/restaurants and public transport. Beach across the road with access directly opposite.
Tracey on reception was very helpful and we really appreciated being able to arrange a later checkout as our flight home was delayed until late in the evening.

When I first arrived and heard we would be staying in 1437 I was in lift thinking oh help after reading Neil’s review, but was quite pleasantly surprised when I opened door as new flooring, fridge freezer and sofa greeted me with an absolutely perfect view.
The master door is still broken and yes is a security and safety issue if have young children in their, but we didn’t so was ok for us.
Tiles above bath are a safety hazard and as Neil and my husband said if one falls off the whole lot will and I hope no one in bath if it does happen. Door to walk in robe I couldn’t even move so didn’t bother but then again that didn’t bother me. If they can’t fix it would be better to remove it. Balcony lights still not fixed as well but again that didn’t worry me.

Glasses etc we just cleaned 3 of everything we needed and left on the side for the duration of stay, we do this on every holiday as our standard cleaning is not everyone else’s.

It’s the 2nd time we have stayed here and both times we have had a lovely holiday, first time we stayed on 3rd floor with our 3 children this time it was just us and our daughter. No matter where you stay there is always some little issues here and there ( ours was getting stuck in the lift 😂 but problem was sorted straight away) I would of been upset if I was Neil seeing his pictures but some things have changed now and we had a very pleasant stay there.

Overall our experience was positive - the location is excellent, the indoor pool was great and the apartment layout (one bedroom) was also very good with views up the beach on both sides.
The reason this review can only be given an average rating is:
We never received good check in instructions and as we arrived on a Sunday afternoon, we ended up waiting in the wind outside for over 30 minutes for the keys to be delivered.
While the apartment was clean and well designed, the carpets were old and had folds everywhere which were trip hazards.
There was no follow up communication or service at all - if everything was acceptable. During the day there are people at the reception but unless you asked for something there was no further communication. It would have been useful to know where the building rubbish bins were located.

Response from PacificViewsResort, Manager at Pacific Views Resort
Responded 8 Mar 2020
Thank you for providing feedback I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble using our after-hours check-in facility. To provide as much information as possible, we engage with guests at least twice prior to arrival. On the day before guests are due to check in, we send out a welcome email with information to assist guests during their stay, including a map of the carpark., then on the day of arrival we send out the instructions and code for retrieving the key by email and sms to guests who will be arriving outside reception hours. The email also contains and a copy of the information provided the day before, which includes where to dispose of rubbish. There is an intercom that connects guests to a staff member if they have difficulties when they arrive and they will liaise with the onsite manager if required. The information supplied also has an after-hours number guests can call if they require assistance and reception is closed. Your feedback suggests that you may not have received the pre-arrival information, and wonder whether the messages may have gone into your junk-mail. Once again, I apologise if this was the case.

We stayed at the pacific views the last few days and really enjoyed it. Weekdays could be noisy with the construction over the road, but the weekend was fine. Lovely indoor pool, very well looked after.
The unit was clean and tidy, with a few unexpected extras like movies in the cabinet and a great array of cutlery and wine glasses etc. Great size balconies and a nice vibe to the whole place. Located a short walk to some very good cafes etc on Tedder ave. 1 minute walk to the beach and also kids parks to the north.
I would have given 5 stars but a few things are starting to look a bit dated.. nothing really bad, just small stuff like the lounge was looking a bit worn, curtains a bit faded etc etc, but still value for money given the location

From the moment we arrived at the Pacific Views Resort we were greeted with a warm welcoming vibe. Wendy and her team are nothing but exceptional and not to mention Turbo the beautiful Pussy Cat.

We arrived early and our room was not yet ready however we were able to park our car and use the amenities until we were advised our apartment was ready.

This gave us time to enjoy the great cafe Sea Urchin which sits under the apartments then spend some time on the beautiful Main Beach.

Once we checked into our apartment ( on the 7th floor ) we were delighted. It was clean, big, had an amazing view and it had all of the amenities we required.
The beds were so comfortable I could have stayed in it all day and just listen to the sound of the crashing waves.

Parking was provide and also the apartment is very safe and secure.

I travelled with just my daughter however this is definitely a place that the whole family could stay in and enjoy and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This place has an amazing ocean feint location, right next to the beach with ocean views from north to south and some views of the city and hinterland.
We stayed in apartment 40 on level 15 and the views were amazing.

Unfortunately the apartment facilities were very average. The wifi, despite resetting it countless times simply did not work. Frustrating for us as we had a baby monitor camera that we were trying to connect to it.

The air con is old and incredibly noisy, with very basic controls and no ability to set the air to specific temperatures or to turn down the airflow.

The showers were terrible and flushed cold water through the head at the same time as the hot. I’ve never experienced this before. It was just a constant flow of hot and cold at the same time.

Couldn’t get Netflix to work on the TV’s and every channel the reception was blurry and pixelated.

The beds weren’t particularly comfortable and the pillows were like so thin I could feel my head completely on the mattress despite there being a pillow between them.

Disregarding these, the views and location were worth it and we genuinely had a lovely stay. Just a few things to fix up to make this place better

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the 23rd floor. The apartment had a great balcony that wraps around the apartment giving you fabulous views of the coast. The apartment has everything you need, full kitchen, laundry, dining and lounge area. Two bedrooms with king size beds, one has an ensuite and both rooms have doors onto the balcony.

For the price, there are some things that need to be addressed. The carpet is stained and should really be replaced. The leather sofas in the lounge are cracked and quite uncomfortable. The air conditioning is ducted but has the main unit in a cupboard outside the 2nd bedroom, it is quite noisy so can disrupt sleep.

It would be great to have outdoor cushions for the loungers-otherwise you are sitting on hard plastic. Beach/pool towels in the apartment would also be great.

I would think hard before I return unless the price is amazing

1st to be positive, it is a fantastic location and the common areas are kept extremely well and it seems to be managed very well. Like most of these apartment buildings they are individually owned so it is completely luck of the draw. I booked a low floor two bedroom two bathroom apartment and I regret the low floor aspect as the noise from the road and building sites is incredibly bad from about 5 am every morning. Also the specific room that I was in was in a horrible condition plaster marked; in corners completely naked of any plaster not to mention the whole place, needing of a paint. The carpet is stained and there are threads pulling from many areas, most of the curtains do not work or cover the windows and the blinds are more broken than they are operative the appliances work and do the job, but they're old (you really can't complain about that), but the crockery and cutlery wasn't clean and is in short supply and terrible condition, not withstanding the fact that it is extremely cheap and poor quality to begin with.

A lovely lady checked us in and that was where our enjoyment here finished.
Disappointed is an understatement
We paid for a Superior apartment but it was in dreadful condition. I hate to think what the standard ones are like. Or did we pay for superior and get the standard. We will never know as nobody was interested in talking to us. We went to talk to reception to advise of our dissatisfaction but the guy was totally disinterested in engaging in any conversation. A complete lack of respect and interest.
I know these are privately owned and everyone is different, but management must surely ensure that certain standards and quality of furnishings are met.
A start would be to actually check the cleanliness of apartments before people occupy such as floors, showers, crockery, cutlery, windows
The apartment was really knocked around and was filthy dirty, see photos.
Most of the lights were hanging out of the ceiling in the living/kitchen area, dirty chipped cups and crockery. Internally the windows were filthy, particularly above the sink with food debris splashed and dried on them.
The bathroom broken vanity cupboard and draw, showers hadn't been touched and red rust toilet roll holders.

This was a special few days for us all and we wish we'd stayed at home.

Yes, there was air conditioning in our room, so I can only assume all rooms would be cooled in the same way. Very comfortable. (It would be a rare thing to find a place on the Gold Coast without air conditioning unless you've booked a low end establishment.)
