This is a great holiday destination for families. The resort caters for kids really well but has a touch of luxury for the adults. We have just done the stay play deal for 5 nights with included 3 park entry the whole week. It’s a great deal. Shoreline breakfast buffet is $32 per adult, kids eat free & there is so much to choose from. Really great buffet. The teppanyaki restaurant is also excellent, our chef was so entertaining & the food was fabulous. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, air con cold. Kids have to share queen bed - would be better to have singles as an option. The only negative was the hotels use of single use plastics. The room has small disposable bottles of shower gel/shampoo etc - an upgrade to wall mounted refillable bottles is a must. And the restaurant needs to move away from sealed plastic tubs of sauces / aioli. A resort on the edge of a world leading sea life research institute (apparently) should be much more sustainable.

Really enjoyed this 2 night stay. Mum, dad and 18 month old in a premium double view room. Firstly, the view of the Broadwater was fantastic from the second floor unit. The unit itself was generally clean and tidy with the only minor complaints being regarding some cleanliness with some hair left in the bath drain and the bathroom exhaust vents needing a good clean. The pillows weren’t overly comfortable but I guess that is personal preference. We hired a microwave from the resort at $10 per night, brought a sandwich press with us and utilised the small bar fridge to avoid expensive dining out for every meal, however we did dine at Melrose Italian restaurant at the resort for one meal and it was really nice and well priced. There are many other dining options at the resort however we did not try those. I used the gym on two occasions. Whilst very basic, it did the job for a quick holiday workout. The water park for kids is great. They have areas to suit all ages. The exclusive SeaWorld park entry from the gift shop located in the resort made things so easy. No big lineups and you can come and go between the resort and SeaWorld as many times as you like which is where we found this stay to be the greatest value. Our 18 month old got tired around lunchtime so we headed back to our room for lunch and a nap before heading back to SeaWorld completely reenergised and we had a fantastic afternoon up until the park closed. After the park closes, you can head back to the resort for an afternoon wine while the kids are able to play in the resort water park until 7pm. Parking is included at the resort. Overall, this is a great value family stay if you choose your food options wisely to save some money. Some great memories made.

We booked a Jetstar holiday package which included flights, breakfast and theme park entry for 3 nights. It was excellent value for money. The breakfast is fantastic-pancakes, omelettes, pastries etc something for everyone. Yes there is a queue for breakfast at peak times but it moves quickly and the staff work their hardest and after 20 mins we were sat down. I queued and then text my family when I was nearly at the front so they could join me without having to stand in line. I wish we had booked an extra night as we were at the theme parks everyday and I would have loved a day just round the lovely pool and across the road is a short walk to a beautiful beach. The shared areas-reception, restaurants, pools, bar are fantastic. Easy access in to sea world was great. The bedrooms could do with a refurb but for the money they were fine for a family of 4 and fresh bedding each day, and you don’t spend your time sat in your room. We got Ubers in to surfers for dinner (about $10 each way) because parking is terrible there, it was easy and less than 10 minutes. We would love to come back for a longer stay next time.

We booked two nights in a wheelchair accessible room last week and despite both myself & husband separately enquiring about the room facilities- imagine our shock, anger & disappointment when we arrive to find the door entry is only 75cm (proper accessibility would be 85cm - Seaworld google it!). There was not one room in the entire place that can accommodate a visitor in a wheelchair wider than 75cm. I should also point out that there are only THREE rooms which the resort have converted the bathroom & added metal sheeting to the door frame. All required lifts to access and we had no choice of the room location, as they were all in the Bay Wing, stacked on floors 1, 2, & 3. Too bad if you want to upgrade to a garden room or one with a view you have not such option. The only solution presented to us was for my husband to transfer into the resort's manual chair, which fitted through the door. Certainly not an option as a) not safe for husband to transfer too a significantly smaller chair and b) nowhere to store his power chair, other than trek it back to main building and store with concierge. Even the disabled toilet in the main lobby had a narrow door, again 75cm, so he couldn't even visit the bathroom. This trip had been planned with friends from UK, we had hired a vehicle to bring husband down and in the end we had to return to Brisbane. Seaworld Resort - 1) remove your wheelchair accessible status, 2) improve your information online and to those that answer your phones and 3) take this opportunity to conduct an accessibility audit and invest to become an inclusive venue. As a family venue, you need to be able to allow all wheelchair users the opportunity to enjoy the place with their family. Wheelchairs users come in all shapes & sizes and you left us humiliated and angry. (For clarity we were fully refunded our stay & our friend financially reimbursed, but it wrecked our holiday and I'm not convinced much/anything will change. )

For nearly $900 a night and apparently a 4.5 ⭐️ hotel, I expected a lot more. We had a room on the ground floor in the garden wing. It was supposedly renovated but was in terrible condition- rust all over the bathroom, stains on the walls, trails of ants, nothing in mini bar, no toothbrush or water, I could go on. Housekeeping was just a change of towels, sometimes a top-up of shampoo. Each day after coming back to our room, there would always be surprise visitors such as cockroaches, ants, spiders. There were only 4 washing machines in the laundry and were always used during the day (you would have better luck in the evening) and the $2 washing powder machine didn’t work on 2 of the days. We had terrible weather which meant the theme parks were closed, then to add to our woes, the water slides at the hotel were closed too, even though the pool was open. Can’t control the weather but we got no refund back on our theme park tickets as part of our package. Because the hotel was at capacity, there was no other room they could move us into. On a few occasions we had to park on the road close to Sea World as the parking lot was overflowing. The kids club was also being “renovated”. I so wish we picked a different hotel. The location was great and there were always lifeguards on duty at the pool but that was all I liked. Look elsewhere for your family stay!

Dear Travellin_w_kids, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay at Sea World Resort. We sincerely apologize for the disappointments you encountered during your visit as this is certainly not the kind of overall feeling we hope any of our guests experience when staying with us. We regret to learn about the issues you faced with the condition of your room. Your concerns regarding rust, stains, and the presence of ants are being taken very seriously, and we will address these matters with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure the necessary improvements are made and to prevent such occurrences in the future. Additionally, we understand the frustration caused by the closure of our theme parks due to the recent few weeks of damaging storms and I’m sorry any inconvenience this may have caused during this unforeseeable circumstance. For future, we do also have two laundry’s onsite – one in our Park Wing as well as one in our Garden Wing which are open 24hrs and each have 4 washing machine and dryers for guest use. Additionally, whilst our Kids Zone is currently closed, we do have plenty of other entertainment on offer throughout our busy holiday period such as Dora's Disco, Daily Character appearances and daily movies in our Ocean Room. Your feedback is crucial in our continuous efforts to provide exceptional service, and we genuinely regret that we fell short of your expectations. We appreciate your understanding and we hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the near future to turn this experience around. Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at dutymanager_swr@vrtp.com.au so we can look after you. Kindest Regards, Ashleigh Manager on Duty

We had expected a wow factor being a 4 star resort at Sea World and being a Luxury Escapes offer. What we experienced was a cold atmosphere, nothing within the resort linking it to Sea World and an aged resort barely worthy of 3 stars. We were in the “refurbished one bedroom double queen room”. The beds were not queen both were double, the shower tiny and not enclosed, the room cleaned to the minimum standard and the bathroom looked dated and dirty. The air conditioning unit isn’t strong enough for the room size and the direct sun.
Having a Luxury Escapes package we were expecting a luxury stay with all the bonus inclusions we have come to expect from Luxury escapes. Our package had barely any inclusions: 2 bottles of wine (we won’t drink wine!), and an unlimited park pass for the duration of our stay. The parks are feedback on their own but so not worth it, most of the rides are closed, the parks look aged and in dire need of an upgrade. Back to the resort feedback… no breakfast included by you can purchase a daily buffet for $32 (our tip is to go to the Southport Lifesaving club. For $20 you can get a huge delicious fresh Brekky and a coffee). SeaWorld Resort couldn’t even supply two bottles of water.
The pool is small with so many little kids that it doesn’t even seem big enough for them, the smell of urine lurking around the pool and outdoor bar area.
Garden views mean staff car park views, who can see straight into the room (2111).
Through the stay we found the staff to be cold and unwelcoming, even up to checkout we weren’t even asked how our stay was.

Dear Luxeaussietraveller, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us here at Sea World Resort and for choosing to stay on one of our special Luxury Escapes packages. Firstly, I would like to acknowledge your feedback regarding your room type booked. Our Deluxe Rooms are one of our most popular room types booked and have been recently renovated, providing a comfortable and modern feel. I can confirm that the room type you stayed in was one of our Deluxe Queen Rooms with a comfortable Sealy Posturepedic mattress, measuring a standard Australian Queen size mattress of 1525mm x 230mm. While our current inclusions with the Luxury Escapes package you booked include two bottles of wine on arrival, our standard is to offer guests alternative non-alcoholic options in the event they advise us that they do not wish to take upon the wine offer. We also take the time to provide a tailored check in for every guest explaining all package inclusions through vouchers and brochures, depending on the package they have booked. We have a 24hr reception team and we encourage guests to bring any feedback or concerns during their stay to us immediately, so we can rectify this early on rather than wait until the end. Asking guests at the time of checkout about their stay is an integral part of our guest experience journey and we always welcome the opportunity to receive feedback and address any concerns while our guests are still with us. With respect to your comments regarding breakfast, our Shoreline Buffet offers a wide range of hot and cold food options, ranging from between 17-20 items, providing fantastic value for money for our hundreds of guests who dine with us daily. With so much on offer (including tea and coffee stations), there is no need to travel to another venue for breakfast as we have such an incredible selection of delicious foods to start your day. We thank you for your feedback regarding the theme parks and will ensure your comments are taken on board. In addition, Sea World has recently added a brand new and exciting precinct called Atlantis, including three new world class rides, including the longest wooden rollercoaster in the Southern Hemisphere. I would also like to add that Movie World and Wet N Wild will soon have some new exciting additions to offer, which we do hope you are able to experience. We would love the opportunity to welcome you back to Sea World Resort for a more enjoyable experience. Please contact us directly at dutymanager_swr@vrtp.com.au to facilitate and ensure your next visit is more positive and enjoyable :-) Kind Regards, Ashleigh Manager on Duty, Sea World Resort

SeaWorld is not somewhere I would have previously thought to stay however it came highly recommended to me by a friend. We stayed as a family of four with buffet breakfast and access to SeaWorld, Movie World, Wet & Wild World & Paradise country- all available for unlimited entry throughout the duration of our stay. This actually was less expensive then buying theme park tickets. The resort obviously puts a large emphasis on customer service and staff morale because it really came across in all interactions we had with their staff- from check in to check out. Doing so makes such a difference when staying somewhere and for me that is always the 1-2 points difference between a rating of 8 and giving the perfect score of 10. My favourite aspect of our stay was that resort guests are able to enter SeaWorld through a private back entrance and return to the resort the same way. When my children became tired at SeaWorld, we entered back to the resort to use the pool/cool down and then went back over to SeaWorld for some last minute fun. Everything was picturesque & we will definitely be returning, thank you to all the staff.

First night we stayed the room was in a busy part of the wing, it was noisy and with an Autistic child was unsuitable, thefront desk staff member, Bella, was very helpful and understanding, she changed our room to a location with less foot traffic, had our luggage transferred for us while we were out and messaged us once the new room was ready. The location for the resort is amazing, restaurants on site provide good variety, the outdoor area in the evening provides entertainment for the kids while the adults can sit down with a cocktail or coffee. There is also a water play area, spa and warm pool available until 9pm and a small games room open until 10pm. Easy access to the seaworld theme park via the gift shop is also a great bonus, less wait to enter. Overall a great stay and would recommend to anyone.

Our room was pretty good other than a few small issues like the safe not working and the bathroom, shower handles falling off which were fixed promptly by a maintenance person. We stayed in the Bay Wing with excellent access to the Waterpark and Pool facilities which were very nice. The food, in particular from the Waterfall Café was inedible and extremely overpriced. We also ate from Melrose which was a lot more pleasant. The Arcade scammed us out of $15 by not giving us a puck in Air-hockey and not accepting their own game tokens. It is a convenient stay for families because it has great access to the Gold Coast theme parks especially Sea World.
