Great value family accommodation, we stayed for 2 weeks in the maccaw mansion with our 2 children.

The location is fantastic, very close to the main goldcoast attractions while also being tucked away for a break from it all when needed.

We really loved the activities and would have loved to use the activity room more but unfortunately it was only open from 8-9am each morning.

We loved the birds and the tropical feel the resort had and had no issues with the noise at all and the pool was lovely.

We found the accommodation great, king size bed was great and the kids loved the spa.

We were a bit disappointed to find taps but no washing machine and having to pay quite a bit of money to wash our clothes over the 2 weeks at $10 a load with 2 young children pop we wash every second day. We also found the lack of scheduled servicing a but frustrating as there wasn't enough cleaning equipment to clean thoroughly ourselves.

Staff were always friendly and happy to help and the one day we did get the unit serviced in the 2 weeks the service was immaculate.

We really really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to families staying on the goldcoast.

Overall a lovely stay and we would definitely be back but we would reccomend scheduling your servicing on your first day and double checking which rooms have a washing machine.

Dear karma0986, thank you for your lovely review! It's wonderful to hear that you really enjoyed your family's Gold Coast holiday at Ashmore Palms. We really appreciate your comments about where we can improve our services to guests. Just to clarify, the Ashmore Palms' washing machines are $4.00 per load and the driers are the same. For your next holiday, you may like to try the Rainforest Retreat with an internal laundry and no coins required. We look forward to seeing your family back at Ashmore Palms again soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Ashmore Palms. Our Macaw mansion was clean, neat and had great facilities such as modern dishwasher, oven, cooktop, good size fridge, air conditioning and a lovely big spa. The beds were comfortable and the two pools were heated, clean and sanitised using Ozone which is great. The kids swam even though it was April and found the pools a little cool until they got used to the temperature. We found the pricing very good value particularly when I compared to other accomodation for our family of 2 adults 4 children. We were only a 15 minute drive into Cavill avenue, shops, entertainment etc and the Ashmore Palms village was very quiet. Couldn’t hear traffic etc. we had a hit of tennis and used the DVD library both with no charge. Easy parking next to our accomodation for our hire car. Stay was excellent!

My family and I just returned home from a wonderful 6 nights at Ashmore Palms Holiday Village. All the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the grounds are maintained extremely well. We stayed in the 2bdr premium palm cottage, which was very affordable and perfect for 2 adults and our 10yo & 12yo. The pool area was great, and there is a great kids activities planned throughout school holidays. There is also a little shop onsite for the essentials (milk, bread, ice cream etc). The only thing i would say, is that you will need to have a car when you stay here, as it is a fair distance away from tram stop, Surfers Paradise and other places of interest. We will def be back to Ashmore Palms when we head back to GC next! :-)

We were arriving early and on our journeythere we received a text informing us that our cabin was ready to go.On arriving at the Ashmore Palms Holiday Village one could not be impressed by the presentation of the lawns and gardens culminating in an impression which was ultimately very positive. On checking in, we met the resort staff who were extremely helpful, courteous and informative as to the sights and attractions around this great area. Our cabin was clean, tidy and more than spacious for our needs. We purchased food and beverage from the nearby Ashmore Shopping complex then settled in for a walk around the many averies and a swim in the well maintained pool. The staff organised for the shuttle bus to visit Southport Sharks Football club for tea, and also the shuttle to Surfers Paradise Markets,at no cost.Ashmore is located close to the Theme Parks so travel is quick and cheap either by car or public transport Our experience at Ashmore Palms made for an extremely relaxing and cost effective holiday choice whether with a family or a couple. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort for your next holiday.

We have just spent 3 nights in a Classic Villa with our 3 children. Fantastic cabin - lots of room, 3 bedrooms, everything you need in the kitchen (even salt and pepper shakers) a comfy couch for the whole family with room for mum to actually lie on and read. TV also in main bedroom, air con, wifi and kids activity packs on arrival. We spent hours in the 2 pools, looking at the stunning macaws inside the Park whilst also being close to all the attractions on the Gold Coast. Minutes to Movie World, SeaWorld, inflatables at Southport, Surfers Paradise Night Markets, Jet Boat Rides and then able to retreat to the quietness of this Park = family bliss. Thank you to all the Team at Ashmore Palms for a brilliant few days, can’t wait to go back!

Amazing, affordable and great location!

Ashmore Palms Holiday Village was a fantastic holiday destination for adults and the kids! The pool was a family favourite and aviaries and friendly parrots was a very special addition to our stay. We loved visiting the birds every day!

We stayed in a two bedroom cabin - Premium Palm cottage, it was clean, spacious and fully equipped for a family. Beds were very comfortable! Bedroom 1 had a double bed, bedroom 2 had bunk beds and a single bed - could sleep 3.

Our cabin had all the cooking facilities, pots and pans, cutlery etc so we were able to cook meals if we wanted to.

Ashmore Palms is in a great location, close to all the theme parks and the main strip in surfers paradise.

Kids entertainment was provided each day by Miss Kellie - who sure did entertain the kiddies. Activities were great for all ages - our two boys loved them.

Staff were friendly and welcoming! We will definitely be back!

The internet is the worst I’ve experienced anywhere I’ve been. Not only do you have to login daily it doesn’t last the day and when asking the front desk they are apologetic however cannot assist other than to apologise.
The air conditioning is poor at best and I would suggest as per the internet requires updating throughout the entire place as these are the first two things out of anyone’s mouth when discussing the stay.
The mess from trees on your car is will have you asking the desk if they provide a free detail on your exit, worse if there is a storm.

i recently had the pleasure of staying with my extended family for a weekend of fun to celebrate my birthday.
Our treatment from first inspection to check out by the manager Lisa was seamless. In fact all in our family remarked of how friendly and caring the staff were .

the Cabins were very well equipped and were spotless. Everything you could have needed for a holiday was there.

The pool area is superb and the children were entertained by the antics of the beautiful macaws around the grounds.

Our family made good use of the tennis courts and great bbq area.

Well done Ashmore Palms! We will be spreading the word about this little gem of a place in the heart of Gold Coast.

25 Years between visits. Last time I was here I was 12 years old. Loved the place then owing to the gardens and the Macaws. Found out nothing has changed in that regard, but now as an adult and father, I can appreciate the park even more. The pool area and playgrounds are great for the kids. The cabin was spacious and clean, and well situated for the aforementioned kids activities. The beds were extremely comfortable too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The park itself is very well located for shops and restaurants too, and easy enough to get to the theme parks.

We really enjoyed our stay. The grounds are kept immaculate. The pool area is really lovely. Two pools, one heated and one not. We were there in winter. The heated pool is not hot (you probably wouldn't sit and relax in it) but warm enough for the kids to happily play in for a decent period of time.

The birds are awesome. The cages are kept clean and they all look healthy and happy.

They had a great range of kids activities, each morning and some afternoon. Kids loved balloon making and face painting. The free family selfie photo was also a win with the kids.

We booked here as it was close to where we were visiting friends so we didn't spend much time at the accommodation, had we have known how much there was for the kids to do we could have happily spent more time there

Great after hours access, we arrived late at night, key collect was easy and no fuss.

Hello Natalie H, thank you for your question. Most areas in the Village are wheelchair accessible. However, the Ashmore Palms' Rainforest Walkway is not suitable for wheelchair access. You can view the exotic parrots in aviaries in the swimming lagoon area and the Rainforest Walkway can be viewed from some driveways in the Village. However, as our friend Steve said above, the Rainforest Walkway path is quite narrow in places. We hope to see you and your family here soon! with kind regards from Rhonda :)
