A really special place. Family-run, with Madame Matina presiding over breakfast- try her fig preserve. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Plus - 7 mins walk from the beach, places to eat 2 minutes away, and only 15 mins from the airport. Just the most relaxing and convenient hotel. Nice rooms, too.

This is my 3rd time here in 18 months. I have never been anywhere that is so welcoming and makes you feel so relaxed and to be honest almost like one of the family. My first trip was solo. My second with a friend and my third with my family. I always use the hotel for airport transfers and the...

I have never written a review before but this hotel is so special I feel I must. Not only is it lovely to stay in, lovely rooms, a fantastic pool and a delicious breakfast but their kindness and hospitality extends beyond your stay. I forgot my iPod in the hotel and only realised once I had returned home. I emailed...

The Hotel was typically Greek, all areas was clean, staff were friendly and the rooms were basic but clean. We had a ground floor room with a balcony overlooking a small garden...

Myself and partner have just returned from a 10 day stay at this hotel and it was the perfect place to stay. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast and pool area were so relaxing and well laid out. The hotel was only a 5 minute stroll to the beach past restaurants and bars. The location was convenient for everything...

Very enjoyable stay in August 2016. Extremely efficient and reliable service from all the staff. Consistently excellent recommendations from the hotel's director (restaurants, coffee-shops, other touristic places). Very close to the beach. Rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable bed. Highly recommendable hotel.

After staying at Hotel Matina everyone would agree "Hospitality is Greece's oldest art form" Mr. Jean Pierre & his team was fantastic. Though we reached the hotel before our expected time of arrival he ensured our stay in Santorini was comfortable right from the time we entered the hotel. He helped us with a Map, recommended the best locations, food...
