Loved the location, I was in Villa 105 which had a double bed and the sun hit the terrace from 1pm - 5pm daily during the winter months. Staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful, great little onsite bar with takeaway service so during covid very handy as they also sell Large bottles of water, no breakfast as its too quiet to other so its open 2 - 8pm, Free wifi for as many items as you need was a godsend, small tv with 3 Eng channels, BBC1, CBEEBIES then the usual spanish issue ITV and Channel 4 are there but with no sound. It was a corner villa so quiet, its big with loads of hot water, fully fitted kitchen etc and loads of sockets. Hairdryer in bathroom. Kettle and toaster supplied in kitchen. Sofa very uncomfortable, sunbeds were broken and I had to totally clean and disinfect them, terraces need to be a bit more private, just higher plants etc. Cold in the evenings in the winter months but a hot water bottle from China shop does clear that issue up, there seemed to be air con units but no remote etc so maybe there was extra heating. Pool defo not heated it was colder than the sea! The whole town is extremely quiet due to covid but you feel extremely safe there just be prepared for alot of restaurants, shops and hotels etc to be closed. I hope the island pulls through after all this loss as its a great place.…
Can't say enough about this place to be honest. First time here, after 12 yrs coming to Caleta. Will definitely book again in the future. With the current pandemic you are massively reassured at the hotel as all guidelines are strictly followed. Cleaning is to a high standard, and nothing is too much trouble. Have to pay for air con now, but with the holiday companies forcing the prices down all the time, you can't blame them, even hotel owners have to make a living. Pool and all areas are immaculate and daily cleaning takes place of all rooms.
This is our second time since July, the manager, Miguel and his team have done everything possible to make our stay safe, the cleanliness is second to none. This wee place needs people, the Canarain give free medical Covid 19 insurance and with your EHIC health card you only have to isolate on return, ok if you’re retired, Ryanair are flying, so help yourself and have a great holiday!
For once glad we booked ryanair so our holiday went ahead. Bungalows very quiet but extremely safe place to visit during these trying times. Sadly still a lot of places closed in caleta but still a few choices to eat out at night. Free air con and the WiFi is finally working. Pool bar open 10-6 with a three hour happy hour mid afternoon. The menu is limited but we still ate here most days. Leah was really helpful and booked us in at fado rock, hopscotch and Pummerola. Next trip is March 2021 and we can't wait. Hope everything picks up soon for the all the business's and staff.
Well we never thought we would get here but we did and once again we had a lovely time and I’m so glad we came. We asked for the same appt as last year and although this was occupied we were given next door (810). Our welcome pack consisted of wine, water, face mask and sanitizer which goes to show how times have changed! The rooms are well equipped and this year we had free air con which was a lovely touch and much needed! The rooms were cleaned mostly daily by lovely ladies. Lots of places were closed nearby but we still had lots of choices of where to go to eat, my favourite being hopscotch. While we were there we got the news that we would have to isolate when we got home, this is such a shame for this very safe and friendly island and I really hope they bounce back! The complex was quiet and we had the pool virtually to ourselves! The pool bar didn’t do breakfasts which I was gutted about but Leah who worked there did me amazing omelettes !! The reception let us keep our bungalow until we were picked up at 6pm this was much appreciated so again thank you We will return next year!…
