Thank you Waves Resort for making us smile again 😊. After 8 years visiting Groundwater Country Festival for girls weekend we were left very disappointed with previous accommodation. Then we walked into Waves Resort feeling very deflated and upset .. Steve the manager immediately took us to look at a beautiful 3 bedroom apartment for next year and Wendy on reception the next day showed us a 2 bedroom to spend our last 2 nights in the most beautiful accommodation. They honestly were amazing and could not do enough for us.. Wendy and the beautiful young girl (sorry can't remember her name) made what started as a very stressed girls weekend, into a blessing that we walked thru their door on that Friday afternoon.. we can't praise them enough. Thank you all 😊

Another great stay. Such a great location. Although be warned they are building a highrise next door (Poor Wave balconies are about to lose their view) and with construction noise from 6am, our anticipated sleep ins were not a reality. Some pool/beach towels should also be standard in the rooms. Taking bath towels out to the beach and pool isn’t really what you’d expect.

Our Gold Coast holiday started with an effortless book in process , easy parking, and an absolutely fantastic 180degree view from the beachside around to the hinterland. The room was super clean , the swimming pool is gorgeous and there’s dozens of restaurants right out the door. I won’t stay anywhere else when I come to the Gold Coast , this is THE place

Stayed at this place several times over the years. This time was horrendous! The room looked as if it was 100 years old. Walls were dirty, everything was to be honest. The bed was freezing, there were no extra blankets, nothing. I slept in my tracksuit. Seriously, the prices they charge, they should organise a lick of paint, new appliances perhaps?

Great location and great facilities. Would definitely stay there again. However the room always smelt musty despite leaving balcony doors open. Also the early noise 6am from next door construction was a big negative. They wouldn’t be able to start that early in any other state.

Just got home from our stay, this is the 5th time I have stayed here some with family Some with friends and my favourite place to stay. Rooms are large excellent location and the team are very accomodating. I love this place and will be stay here again soon.

Our apartment was very nice. Large rooms with quite comfortable beds and furniture. Needed a new toaster . Lovely balcony. On our second night a group of men booked into the apartment next to us ( at least 10 guys ) They partied with loud music from 10.30 pm to 6am on the balcony right next to ours . Hence we got no sleep whatsoever. We did make a complaint to reception in the morning . I believe the occupants were spoken to. My issue is why aren't these huge apartment complexes manned 24 hours a day and these issues addressed immediately . When you pay decent money you don't expect to pay top dollar for discomfort . If wasn't for this incident it would of been fantastic .

The Wave Resort is perfectly located right on the Mall at the highway end, but a block from the highway do you don’t hear the noise. The noisiest things are the birds in the park at about 3pm onwards and the building works going on in front. Sadly there is going to be a 54 storey hotel/residences built smack bang in front of The Wave Resort. This will ruin the sensational views the units have at the moment. Glad I don’t own a unit in The Wave Resort, the value will drop severely. Well done Gold Coast City Council - you just allowed one building to be ruined so another one can be built. I guess that is progress and unless you are absolute waterfront or just over the road you are at risk of being built out. We loved our stay there for a week, but will look elsewhere now as the building works will be unbearable for the next couple of years and then the view will be trashed.…

Have stayed at The Wave several times and each time we have come away feeling happy with the experience. The room this time was fantastic, with a great view. Always a pleasure to stay here. The staff on reception were helpful and friendly. The rooms were extremely clean and well appointed. The location of this establishment makes it perfect. Close to restaurants, shops, supermarkets and the beach. The two pools and BBQ areas give you a great choice.

Would have rated this five but for the noise from the construction site directly opposite which started at 5.45am each morning. We were on level 13 (despite requesting a high floor) which meant the noise was disturbing. The sea view room was large and comfortable. There is nothing provided in the kitchen by way of basics other than tea, salt and pepper. So you need to buy everything if you want to cook. Might be different if you book via Airbnb. We booked direct and got an extremely good rate especially given it was school holidays. Balcony is large. Bedrooms are also large and beds are comfy. There is a great gym and also main pool and spa which we used daily. This resort is located well right near all the restaurants. Starbucks and yo chi are at the bottom of the building. You can easily walk to the beach and pacific fair. We even walked to surfers one day. Didn’t need a car and just got Ubers to all the theme parks.…
