Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was okay, some furnushings were modern others quite dated. Needed more charging/usb points in apartment. Thought we would have a view - we didnt, overlooked parking area and its night lights. Service ok - small brekkie and coffee place however very good. Gym, pool, spa etc looked well maintained as did whole area in general, Location good.

We had a 4 night stay in one of the accor vacation apartments. The apartment was roomy with a kitchen and laundry so self contained. We had views towards Star Casino. Location is less than 10 minute walk to the main part of Broadbeach with Oasis Shopping Centre and lots of bars and restaurants. Its in a beautiful quiet location. There is a pool, spa, gym, cafe with limited hours and a bbq. We really enjoyed our stay.

Just had 2 nights here. Loved it. Kids loved it and the Mrs loved it. Super clean modern room overlooking the pool. I see people complaining about the carpark side rooms and probably agree a bit but we didn't have one. It's really nice and I'd stay again for sure. Great area too. 10 minutes and your in the thick of it, restaurants, the beach. The surf club there is epic. Happy holiday!

What a wonderful place to stay. We have been coming here since 2012 and still think this rates as one of the best places in Broadbeach. It has a great location and is very relaxed. The rooms are clean, we had the same room again this visit 2405, and can only fault the uncomfortable lounge in the room. Everything else in the room was great. Teresa on the front desk was so polite and a pleasure to talk to. She was apologetic that the spa wasn't working (on and off all week) but was happy to be at work and you could tell she enjoys being there. The light breakfast is always a welcome inclusion and the standard is still as good as it was in 2012. The staff working in the cafe were consistently busy, but this did not affect the level of service at all. The only bad points to this visit were the uncomfortable pool chairs. They have been updated to white plastic ones which just are not comfortable. We will be booking again for next year as we do each time we visit. Thanks for another wonderful family holiday.

Location is good as it is quiet and within easy walking distance to main areas casino, Pacific Fair and Broadbeach shops Rooms nice and big and clean. The on line check in is a concern with the information they want especially with on line privacy issues. The pool towel situation is a joke. Had breakfast included but you can't really call it a breakfast. Not worth it as there is so little to choose from and so very very basic.

Hi Jim, thank you for your feedback. We love our location as well as we are in the heart of everything that Broadbeach has to offer. Yet we are still secluded enough so that our guests can relax in peace. Thank you for mentioning our online check in process. We created this system to cut down on the time it takes to check in, and we have secure encryption methods to ensure that the guest's information always remains private. Once again, thank you for your feedback. If you do return, please email us in advance so we can make sure you have a welcome hamper in your room.

Booked in for a 5 night stay months ahead. We have previously stayed several times before. Because we had not done the online check in (and we had been told it wouldn't be a problem as they could help when we got there) as well as another poor soul who had been trying to do his online checkin when we got there, it took 40 minutes before we got to our room. The receiptionist Teresa insisted we do an online checkin although we were standing right in front of her. She took our phone and when our phones wouldn't work she set it up for me to insert my credit card details into another "unknown" mobile phone. I was not at all comfortable with that. We asked why we couldn't just sign on a form for checkin as we do almost everywhere else. Serving 3 checkins at once we complained when she checked another customer in over the top of us. We were then humiliated in front of the first customer who was still trying to do his. We asked to see the Manager and she proudly pointed to the badge on her chest and told us she "was" the Manager. Something out of Fawlty Towers??? Obviously we did not go near reception again until we left and there was a pleasant young lady on who did not make us jump through hoops to give our keys back. All in all, the apartment was nice and clean as usual. Only complaint was that there is a shortage of crockery and cutlery and not worth starting up the dishwasher for just a few plates. Apartments are a distance from the beach and approx 2 km from Pacific Fair. I suggest you need a car to get around if staying here.

Dear 978pamelag. I am so sorry your check-in took so long. I believe you checked in at a time when we had just introduced a new system that our Team were probably still trying to figure out. Online check in is designed to streamline the check-in process for guests and reduce wait times at the front desk. If you come back, you will see we have now mastered this system :-)

Stayed here for 5 nights.. it’s a bit far away from everything. As in all still “quite” a walking distance to shops and eateries. But what gets me most is what’s the go being charged for Pool Towels!!! I know it’s not much but geez.. really???

Hi 2210mtmiller, thank you for your feedback. I really like our location as it's a very pretty 5 minute walk to the heart of Broadbeach. And yes, so sorry that there is a charge for pool towels. We use a professional linen company to provide us with towels for our guests to hire. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed your stay in the Gold Coast and at Ultiqa. We pride ourselves on making our guests feel at home in a resort that is peaceful and quiet, yet very close to the excitement of Broadbeach.

I noticed one red spot on my arm in the morning. Then more and more bites were found all over my body. We contacted the hotel manager and then she told that they were midgie bites, which she also had all over her back and arms as she lives on the resort facility. Great! If so, why couldn't they notify guests in advance? Some signs or warning when you sit on your veranda or outdoor area. Mind you we were mostly indoors, but obviously midgies came through the screen. They are unbearably itchy and do not go away for days. I worried about bed bugs first and disinfected my whole bed room when I got home. Then got a cream and antihistamine tablet as I could not sleep. We stayed only for one night and suffering days and weeks. Not worth staying. It completely ruined my week and trip which was planned straight after that. So inconsiderate and unkind to guests.

Hi Ian, thank you for your feedback. Our resort is so close to the water that yes unfortunately, a person may get bitten by sandflies or midgies. There are a lot of midgies in the Gold Coast in general, and although they don't attack everyone, we may consider adding a note in our pre-arrival emails about bringing insect repellant.

This property is easy walking distance to shopping, the casino, Broadbeach mall, light rail and the beach. We had a 9th floor room with a scenic view including from the bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed the facilities particularly the pool, spa and sauna. The unit was light filled and we could have spent hours admiring the view. The complex is on a waterway and away from traffic. We would stay here again.

i recently stayed here with my daughter for 2 nights then we had to stay an extra night where we had to change rooms. I want to say though the front desk girls were very helpful during our stay. 1. The first room on the 8th floor / 2 bed apartment was great the room was bright airy and inviting overlooking the pool and the river behind. The beds seemed comfortable no real complaints. Its a 10 min walk max to the main street of Broadbeach for restaurants. The car parking was included but tight spaces. 2. We had to stay an extra unplanned night, so we had to move rooms. I am very grateful that Ultiqa had a room but i wished they didn't. We moved from a 2 bed too a 1 bed apartment. We stayed on the first floor on the other side of the building facing the road. The room for one night (fri) cost more than the 2 previous nights and was not worth it. The room was dark uninviting and no way a comfy 4.5 * . i genuinely felt ripped off with this room. Regardless the room didn't come up to the money i paid for it. My advice if you are booking here always ask to stay on the pool side. I would have been extremely disappointed for the cost if my entire stay was on the road side.
