This cafe is opened to the public as well as guests staying at the resort. If staying at the resort it is open from 7 am to 2 pm Monday to Sunday. You can have your coffee, teas and snacks around the pool or just outside the cafe. The proprietor of the Cafe is efficient and can do light meals as well as breakfasts. If in a rush takeaway coffees are available. The coffee is excellent.

This resort is a real hidden gem. We stay here twice a year and it never disappoints. We normally get a 2 bedroom unit and it is huge. There are two large bedrooms, two large bathrooms, ample amenities (towels, pillows, toiletries etc) and a very well equipped kitchen. We enjoy sitting on the balcony at night watching the spectacular view. The resort itself has a wonderful cafe on site, a large pool and a gym. It also has very clean barbecue facilities and the reception staff are very accommodating and friendly. The manager Sue is warm and friendly also and is a real asset to the resort. I would recommend Freshwater Point as a great place to holiday, away from the noise of the Broadbeach mall but close enough to walk to the great restaurants and beach.

i recently stayed here with my daughter for 2 nights then we had to stay an extra night where we had to change rooms. I want to say though the front desk girls were very helpful during our stay.

1. The first room on the 8th floor / 2 bed apartment was great the room was bright airy and inviting overlooking the pool and the river behind. The beds seemed comfortable no real complaints. Its a 10 min walk max to the main street of Broadbeach for restaurants. The car parking was included but tight spaces.
2. We had to stay an extra unplanned night, so we had to move rooms. I am very grateful that Ultiqa had a room but i wished they didn't. We moved from a 2 bed too a 1 bed apartment. We stayed on the first floor on the other side of the building facing the road. The room for one night (fri) cost more than the 2 previous nights and was not worth it. The room was dark uninviting and no way a comfy 4.5 * .
i genuinely felt ripped off with this room. Regardless the room didn't come up to the money i paid for it. My advice if you are booking here always ask to stay on the pool side. I would have been extremely disappointed for the cost if my entire stay was on the road side.

I stayed at the ultiqa Freshwater point resort for 6 nights.
the check in on sunday evening was easy and polite.
I stayed in room 2215T
the apartment is a lovely spacious apartment with lovely views across the river/creek to the tall buildings in the distance at surfers.
The apartment is nicely soundproofed also, there was life music and singing just below, and i could not hear it at night.
the kitchen was well maintained, and had all the capabilites to be self contained.
the couch was comfy and the inside and outside dining tables were nicely sized and nice to sit down at at.
there was also a work desk.
internet was included and other than cutting in and out at peak times 5pm -8pm, was a good quality wifi
the bathroom has a shower and full sized bath and toilet.
there is a washing machine and dryer which i used in my stay.
the carpark downstairs is spacious and you get parking for one vehicle with your stay.
unfortunately the apartment had two majors faults.
Firstly the Bed. whilst a nice big bed, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have slept in for a good long while. i took a bit of rolling to find a position where the springs were not soo noticable.
secondly is the set up of the bathroom and bedroom.
the only door for the bedroom is actually to the living room. this means that even if you shut the living room door, anyone heading from the bedroom to the living area has a view of their partner/friend ect on the toilet clearly from the bedroom.
clearly designed for either a couple, or a single person I would not reccomend you staying with your partner unless you wish for toilet smells to waft into the bedrooom.
the lack of bathroom door also led to me being terrified that my steamy showers would set off the smoke alarm.

overall, a great apartment, let down by a very poor bed.
I would stay here againm however i would have to bring my own matress topper.

Cockroaches in the kitchen, oven was not clean, started smoking when turned on. Window washers hosed exterior windows, left all the dirt and dripping water on the patio and tables. When complained, were asked till next morning for crew to return. Bathroom soap dispensers were too high to reach by elderly people. Faucets were located in tight spots and cannot be easily reached. When washing face, entire area becomes wet.

Insufficient furniture.

Booked in for a 5 night stay months ahead. We have previously stayed several times before. Because we had not done the online check in (and we had been told it wouldn't be a problem as they could help when we got there) as well as another poor soul who had been trying to do his online checkin when we got there, it took 40 minutes before we got to our room.
The receiptionist Teresa insisted we do an online checkin although we were standing right in front of her. She took our phone and when our phones wouldn't work she set it up for me to insert my credit card details into another "unknown" mobile phone. I was not at all comfortable with that. We asked why we couldn't just sign on a form for checkin as we do almost everywhere else.
Serving 3 checkins at once we complained when she checked another customer in over the top of us. We were then humiliated in front of the first customer who was still trying to do his. We asked to see the Manager and she proudly pointed to the badge on her chest and told us she "was" the Manager. Something out of Fawlty Towers??? Obviously we did not go near reception again until we left and there was a pleasant young lady on who did not make us jump through hoops to give our keys back.
All in all, the apartment was nice and clean as usual. Only complaint was that there is a shortage of crockery and cutlery and not worth starting up the dishwasher for just a few plates.
Apartments are a distance from the beach and approx 2 km from Pacific Fair. I suggest you need a car to get around if staying here.

Dear 978pamelag. I am so sorry your check-in took so long. I believe you checked in at a time when we had just introduced a new system that our Team were probably still trying to figure out. Online check in is designed to streamline the check-in process for guests and reduce wait times at the front desk. If you come back, you will see we have now mastered this system :-)

It was okay, some furnushings were modern others quite dated. Needed more charging/usb points in apartment. Thought we would have a view - we didnt, overlooked parking area and its night lights. Service ok - small brekkie and coffee place however very good. Gym, pool, spa etc looked well maintained as did whole area in general, Location good.

I couldn’t have asked for a better location for my stay. Far enough way to be out of all the business but close enough to be walking distance to wherever I chose to go. Whether that was a walk to the beach or to pacific fair. Anything I could think of was in walking distance. The 2 bdrm apartment was amazing and staff were friendly and helpful.
The amenities supplied in the kitchen meant I was able to cook whatever I desired which was fantastic. I forgot my salt and pepper but the staff in the cafe were happy to help me out with that.
I will definitely be returning.

Stayed her for 5 nights in late April 2021. We were with another 6 couples or families & and had booked before any of the others. So why did we get the dud apartment. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on level 2 – having a very ordinary outlook over the car park & nothing else. We had specifically specified requiring a king bed so were astonished to find we did not get that – we immediately phoned management to explain that a queen would not suffice. Of course we got the usual talk – no apartments are vacant – despite that contradicting their own web site. So we got uncomfortable bedding & no view whatsoever. We were annoyed that others who had booked much later got views & better apartments. Another gripe was all the associated families were on different floors – that is hard as you cannot visit other floors with their keying system – can be worked around but an annoyance anyway. Apart from these gripes, the apartment was comfortable, quite good Wi-Fi & good showers. Excellent access to Broadbeach and was always clean in public areas.

This property is easy walking distance to shopping, the casino, Broadbeach mall, light rail and the beach. We had a 9th floor room with a scenic view including from the bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed the facilities particularly the pool, spa and sauna. The unit was light filled and we could have spent hours admiring the view. The complex is on a waterway and away from traffic. We would stay here again.
