We did find Receptionist, Kate, helpful. She obviously has a lot to do and is kept busy, so if at times she seems curt, I don't think it is intentional. She happily advised us on good places to eat, etc. Yes, there is a musty smell in the corridors and I do think the apartment could have been cleaned better. Moving some furniture showed that no thorough cleaning had been done for a long time. Sheets were clean and fresh, but it was cold at night and the bedding was not enough. We found a blanket in the cupboard with a doonah but there was no cover for this, so we had to put it on the bed between the sheets. They also both had a musty, old smell. Also the heating did not work on the central unit. For several days stay there was definitely not enough towels, and the coffee & tea sachets were quite old.........HOWEVER, on the plus side, this is a great location and balcony gives views of the ocean. Furnishing is quite adequate and kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, china and cutlery. Pricewise, it is not the cheapest, but very competitive in the area. It is close to numerous eateries, shopping plaza and within easy walk of Staf Casino, as well as being one block back from the beach, with a good swimming pool. All in all, we would consider staying here again.

We had 3 nights at Pacific Resort for Blues on Broadbeach 2022. The apartments are in easy walking distance to shopping, casino, events, restaurants, and the beach. While staying here we were took advantage of heated pool, spa and sauna. However, on Friday when we went to use the sauna it was not operating, after notifying management we were told "they would look into it". A short time later tradesman were working on the sauna, and I received a personal message on my mobile advising us the sauna was now working. The staff at the reception desk were fantastic, thank you.

I have stayed at this property a few times, I was there two weeks ago, day one, no WIFI which was out the whole time for six nights. The noise level from Thursday to Monday nights is huge and continues up to 1am. The location is excellent. I left dress in the wardrobe, called them a couple of days after i got home, no follow up from the site manager Kate to chase it up. Pretty annoyed at the attitude. She told me again that the WIFI is still out and they had a electrical problem, hence she didn't have time to check and see where the dress was!!!- A week later!! - I really don't care about the ongoing WIFI and electrical problems, I just wanted her to look and let me know if she found my dress, which they would have. The lack of respect not calling me and letting me know and I had to chase them up, twice now is really bad form..
The car park is small and poky if you have a big car beware.
Probably wouldn't bother staying there again. This is not a hotel, it is a block of units.

Good location ruined by very average staffing issues. Had to chase up our confirmation prior to arrival. Upon our arrival we were allocated our parking space only find it occupied, Upon querying this the receptionist "forgot" a regular has that spot. A replacement park leaked dirty water all over the car the whole time we were there. Returned one afternoon to find our room was left unlocked by tradies who we didn't know were entering our room , when I queried the receptionist she became aggresive and told me to write a complaint . She did contact later to apologise but too little too late for us.

5 stars position, and that’s where it all finishes.
Disgraceful place.

Very disappointing holiday after almost a year of been in lockdown. We were looking forward so much to this trip. On arrival we realised that all doors are locked and no one in the reception. We called a number written on the door and for about 10-15 min were waiting for an answer. Then despite the fact fact that everything was paid in full upfront fo Booking.com, woman on the other side of the line demanded the Credit card full details. We didn’t know who was she, obviously whom we are giving this details, saying it all loudly in front of other people, who was passing by.... Eventually she gave us room number and opened a door. So security there BELOW 0. After we entered the apartment we noticed that actually no one even lined it. It was so bad, that we even found in the bathroom soap used by previous tenants and hair. Anyhow it was no one there to go and complain, so we cleaned it all ourself. Stink in the corridor while getting from the lift to our room was also terrible. We had for 3 adults - 2 towels, 3 big towels and 1 face towel. FOR 6 nights. So , cleaning there BELOW 0. And last but not least staff there extremely unhelpful and round. After 6 nights we be moved to another hotel in S. Paradise, and what a relief it was. And even Position of the place is 5, none of us will stay there again, and will recommend others to think twice before booking.

Returning visit to Broadbeach and staying a few days again at Pacific Resort. Very happy with this place; from the warmest welcome and assistance from Manager Receptionist Kate, to cleanliness, quality, value of unit as well as location, we would always stay here in our visits. Could not fault and happily recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed at Pacific Resort Broadbeach. The location is fantastic, close to the beach, restaurants and Broadbeach Mall.
Our apartment (1003) was exceptionally clean on arrival and even though we arrived late, getting into our apartment was easy.
Susan in reception was lovely and very accommodating, when at last minute we had an extra guest.

This is an excellent place to stay. Right near the beach and convention centre plus shops including Woolies, bakery, Starbucks etc. Kate on reception is so friendly, charming and helpful. It’s great to arrive to this reception. I’ll definitely be back.

Utterly disgusting service. The man was incredibly rude on checking in. I'm pregnant and was forced to struggle carry my heavy bags up stairs while he simply watched. No there's not even a ramp.

Missing towels - when asked for it we were told we need to hire one at $5!!!!!!

Half a roll of toilet paper when checked in... When asked for a roll that night... Told we had to go buy our own!!! Oven from the 1970's.
Carpet smelt musty.

Paid extra for a fold out and was given no blankets so had to use towels as their "fabulous" reception closes promptly at 5pm. Not a soul to help.

Frequent travellers and by far the worst hotel we've stayed in for a long time.

Definitely not returning.

Response from Whale59, Manager at Pacific Resort Broadbeach
Responded 8 Oct 2015
Hi HonestAussie13. If you are going to provide an honest review, please ensure the accuracy of the information. You arrived at the Resort at 7.45a.m, from Perth, prior to the office hours. The property was full. On registering, YOU established that your friend did not booked the appropriate rooms for 3 people and another 3 coming in the next day. Therefore you had to share, and pay for the extra person. No person saw you come up from the stairs, NOR were we to know that you were pregnant, until you advised myself on registering. You asked for a pillow and some towels, so that you could wait by the pool. This was provided at no extra cost. There was no rudeness at all by any of our staff, in fact we went out of our way to assist you. Your gripe was with your friend. We made sure the Apartment was cleaned as a priority, so that you could check-in early. In future, please provide and honest and accurate review, that doesn't jeopardise the reputation and service level. Paul- Manager, Pacific Resort Broadbeach

Does the resort have a gym ?

Hi - there is a website called con-x-ion (site will not allow a web link) - it has a family charge of approx. $130.00. (from Pacific Resort Broadbeach to Brisbane international Airport) If you go onto the site and supply the information required, you will get a more accurate quote, they need your flight number that you will be flying out on. As for beach towels, it would be best to bring your own, in saying that, the Oasis shopping centre is around the block (400mtrs) you could pick up a cheap towel, or even a sarong (much lighter to carry and dries quicker). Hope this little bit of information helps. Maria
