Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our unit was clean, tidy and reasonably spacious, bathrooms a little tight, had great views of the ocean. Location is ideal, short walk to the beach, supermarket across the road and heaps of restaurants.
One on site car park, so second car was on the street which were all metered, so that was a pain. Finding a car park and reception to check in was a task.
Always disappointing when internet is not included, however price and location means we would return.

We have just spent twelve wonderful days, staying at the Victoria Square Apartments in Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia. We had booked a two bedroom apartment for five of us (the fifth to sleep on a rollaway bed) but were more than pleasantly surprised to be told upon check-in that we had been up-graded at no extra expense, to a three bedroom apartment.
The apartment was on the fourteenth floor, with spectacular views to Surfers Paradise and beyond, to the coastline, down to the Oasis Mall and south as far as Coolangatta. The spacious apartment was spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, an en suite and a second bathroom. Kitchen equipment and utensils were plentiful. We enjoyed the pool and particularly the hot spa, most days that we were there, along with utilising the barbque for alternative cooking on occasions.
It is worth noting that we weren't troubled by noise from other residents, or by traffic noise, because of the location of the apartments.
The locality is perfect, just a few steps across to a large supermarket and many other shops in the Oasis Mall, not forgetting the Monorail which travels directly to Jupiters Casino. The huge Pacific Fair shopping mall is within walking distance as is frequent local transport.
We were most impressed by the friendly, obliging staff and would highly recommend the Victoria Apartments - we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else if we returned to the Gold Coast.

Great location everything that you could want is within walking distance. ( The Beach, Restaurants, Broadbeach Mall, Jupiters and Pacific Fair ) And if you need to get to Surfers Paradise or Seaworld there is a bus stop opposite Sofitel Apartments that will take you there which is a 3-5 minute walk away. As for the previous reviews of these apartments saying that their apartments were not good due to Wear & Tear, Of Coarse There Is Going to be some Wear & Tear in any Hotel that you stay at !!

I can not comment on the noise factor over a weekend stay, as I stayed here for 3 nights during the week and my sleep was great, The Apartment I was in was on the 17th floor with views of part of the beach and Hinterland, It was a spacious 2 bedroom Apartment with everything that you would need in a kitchen, two bathrooms, a Dining Area and Balcony.

Overall I would recommend staying here as it Convenient and Affordable !! Plus the check in staff were friendly and helpful.

Absolutely will never stay here ever again! Two nights on the couch of a three bedroom apartment. The main bedroom fan had a really bad metal on metal scraping noise when turned on, 3 days into our 4 day stay, numerous phone calls and face to face requests to have it fixed from day 1, still nothing has been done! Even a request for a stand up fan has been ignored! The worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. Ignorant managers and reception staff that lie to your face and refuse to act on problems in an expensively charged zero starred apartment. Lamps with light bulbs that aren't working, ironing board with no cover, limited utensils for cooking, an aircon which faces a wall and does not cool down this very heated apartment. Every room is stinking hot!!!! and the list goes on and on! If I could give zero stars I would!!!!! I am hitting every review possible to make sure these apartments are made aware of poor, actually disgusting customer service!!!!!!

Place is good location and rooms good size but some very poor management and general lack of anyone when you need them lets the place down. Our room was not cleaned well. Bathroom has signs of use from previous people, and had not been cleaned. Management was not available on check in and after hours contact was not available and we had to ring booking.com to resolve an issue. Then charged for damage without any prior consultation. End result was we never damaged anything and glass table was meant to have a split down the middle (thats how it was made). Not happy with management and don't stay again. Person we stayed with also got conjunctivitis from the bedding or towel.

We were supposed to stay 7 nights in this place but we only managed 1 night. when we arrived we noticed the dust so thick on the furniture, curtins ,and walls. dirty cutlery . hand rails in bathroom were caked in some sort of powdery stuff .we had hair in the cutlery draws and also in the bed. We had no light on the balcony. shower was just dribbling out. we had no hot water. We found a tablet (pill) on the floor .a random sink plug on the floor in the lounge room .we got stuck outside the balcony because the door jamed shut and i had to climb through a window (and injured myself as it was a long drop) to get back into the apartment we are lucky that this was open other wise we would still be there today .. my sister inlaw triped on raised carpet near the front door . We have so many more complaints about this place i could be here all day. Avoid avoid avoid

We arrived for our stay on a Sunday around 5pm. The office was closed.
That was a big mistake.
It took us at least 5 attempts to contact the after hours service numbers..and the button at the front door rang out about 5 times..
Half an hour of total frustration after travelling across Australia all day.
The apartment was ok..a penthouse with 4 bedrooms....but the 4th bedroom was tiny.
The standard of cleanliness was disappointing and some of the cleaning utensils needed binning.
The front desk was hardly ever attended and generally we felt that it was a place we would not ever go back to.
Enough said.!

We were a family of 7 adults staying for 4 nights. We had previously been staying at another location but thought we would treat ourselves by booking out the sub penthouse on the 18th floor. Firstly I don't think they should use the word Penthouse which to me means top class and this sadly was not the case. On entering the apartment our first thoughts were Wow this looks great, however on closer inspection it was very grubby and a number of things needing fixing. Maryanne on the front desk was very helpful and pleasant to deal with, and after checking the place she gave us a reasonable discount which was appreciated, though disappointed after asking 4 times we still were not able to get a bedside lamp for our room which to me is a basic requirement in all rooms. I suggest the owners of the apartment need to upgrade a few of the appliances etc.

The apartments are very handy to everything which was a plus and we didn't find it noisy like many of the other reviews. We travel to Broadbeach regularly and love the area, but would not book here again.

We stayed in apartment 803 at Victoria Square apartments for 2 nights. The apartment was spacious with great views and is in a good location BUT the apartment was very tired and dirty. Grubby carpet, grubby furniture, dirty cupboards, mould in the shower and to top it off there was faeces spattered under both toilet seats. We had to buy a can of Glen 20 to spray and clean everything before we felt remotely comfortable there. The staff didn't seem to care. We would never stay there again.

If you're planning a midweek stay, this place may not be so bad, but at the weekends the drunken noise & fights is incredible (goes on until 5 am and then the street sweepers start up), so unless you're out there partying with the rest of them, I'd seriously consider staying elsewhere. It certainly isn't appropriate for families with young children and don't expect to get any sleep.

As for the room, the only plus is the space as the 2 bed apartment we were in was very spacious. However..... the bedding is terrible, with the beds themselves being very uncomfortable. The shower was disgusting, and you get limited toilet paper. The kitchen too was pretty foul.

Don't expect to get anywhere with the management, as they simply ignore you - and if you manage to harrass them enough to have a conversation with you, they are rude and simply couldn't care less.

All up, I strongly recommend finding somewhere else - this is the worst place I've ever stayed at.
