We almost didn't check in. The outside of this hotel looks like we needed to upgrade. We had a good size room that was fine and clean for the price and it is in a good location, but one feels when they first get there that they are in the slums. There is obviously some theft problems in this area, so there are lots of gated doors, etc. Reception is only open until 6 in the evening. This is the only time in our travels for a month in New Zealand and Australia that we were not totally comfortable in our surroundings.

We found it really hard to sleep because of the traffic noise, even with the windows and doors shut. We thought we could handle the noise, we couldn't. It's like the bedroom has no walls - it's that bad. Sleep and rest are of the utmost importance during a holiday that's why I DO NOT recommend this apartment. After the 2nd night, we wanted to move, but there was no refund, so we had no choice.

I'm giving it a 2 rating because the room facilities are ok. The room has hair dryer, clothes dryer, equipped kitchen with microwave, iron/ironing board, TV with foxtel and pay per view. The location too is good because it's near Pacific Fair, Oasis Shopping Mall, Conrad Jupiters, and other restaurants and small groceries.

The staff was unhelpful and the place is run down which is a shame for the location, the building needs a lot of love to it, asking staff where small things such as a clothes rack were answered "I wouldn't have a clue" and were to lazy to walk up all floors to put notice on the lift that it was down. It was peck holiday season and they decided to shut the pool for a day and a half to tile it. Our first night there we woke up to one of our pipes busting which pretty much flooded the whole kitchen, bathroom, toilet and a bedroom. The deck had mould coming down from the pipes it wasn't a small amount it was the side of the wall would easily could be fixed by a simple hose down. The beds/pillows gave each family members sore back throughout the visit. This place could do so well With some tender love and care put into it. All in all the only thing great about was the bbq area/pool and the location of the place.

Very disappointed!!!

When I travel I for my money I expect
Clean, tidy and functioning.

Blinds in lounge broken
Kitchen draws did not close ( very stiff)
Taps were stiff ( very old)

Bathroom - shower didn't turn off pored with water.
The tiles behind the taps in the shower moved when you tried to turned the shower taps off( very stiff)

Master bedroom the sliding door didn't closed properly and the wind came howling in.

The pool area was cobbled but then had gravel over them. Not nice on the feet and the gravel went in the pool!
Water levels in the pool and spa very low..

There was a party under my apartment and when I told the receptionist she said it was out of her control ( would mention it to security )

Broken bottles in drive and on the carport roof!!

I stay 2 nights out if my 9
Ended up at a friends house one night then moved apartments .

Told reception about my complaints
And she looked at me like she has herd it all before.

Her comment was
( the owners will not change)
And told I would not get any refund on the rest of my stay.

Very neglected, very run down
No love at all.

Do not stay here worst place ever!!!

We booked the apartment thru bookings.com based on the premise of being able to see an Afl game and a Rugby League game. Location, fantastic, both busses for both games left from Broadbeach terminal, only a block away.

The rest of the weekend, terrible.

I have never experienced a genuine 1970’s apartment before, and this was one. Not a nice one, either. The carpet was of a strange, brown rubbery consistency, smelt old and musty, ..complimented also by the white-painted interior bricks. The 1970’s wooden slat Venetian blinds. ( never seen them before? Hi here!), were not strung properly, I had to unstrung one, just to let it drop all the way to the floor just to keep out the light while we watched television. Which thankfully wasn’t one where you had to stand up and change the dials.

All the beds were 1970’s, the kitchen was 1980’s, and the service 1960’s.

Internet was promised to be free. The internal room guide went at great lengths to explain how to rent the internet. Bookings.com said it was free. After calling the after hours contact (dial 9), and having explained the no connect internet, atheist phone hung up. After the second time of being hung up on, Bookings.com was rung, in NSW. Having explained the Situation, they also rang the hotel’s after hours number. I guess it wasn’t 9.

They also, unbelievably, were hung up on as well.

Eventually we reached an agreement where the internet would be paid for and reimbursed at a later stage.
Being able to connect on Sunday, internet was achieved, at 1990’s speed. Unbelievable. I haven’t experienced such slow speeds since living in country Queensland in 1995 and the internet was new.

We were charged over $355.00 for two nights.

We have stayed in $80 hotels in the USA which had more amenities and ambience that this unit.

I have also advised bookings.com to recheck their recommendation regarding this unit. It’s unit #101,’ by the way.

And you have no control over the unit offered to you.

Basically stay away.

Or stay home

Or stay with a mate.

But don’t stay here.

I don't provide totally negative reviews but in the case of this place, I am struggling to add positives about the actual place.

It is in a awesome location, a few mins walk from lots of restaurants, cafe's, the beach and the Pacific Fair mall. Thats all I can come up with....

On the flip side, the hotel itself is very poorly maintained, in desperate need of basic maintenance and the owners could do with investing some money into the place urgently. Simple things, like the shower didn't work properly, the ranch sliders didn't open easily, and you couldn't close them fully.

Staff don't seem to interested in your views and advised the Owners don't care either. With this attitude, it is not going to improve anytime soon.

Recommend that you stay at some other many other locations within 200 meters of that location for the same money. It is excessively over priced for such a run down facility.

My heart sank as I drove into the driveway and saw the run down state of this facility. The advertised "24 hour check in" consisted of a phone on an external wall that put you through to a call centre.
All units opened directly onto a common balcony which meant you couldn't have your doors open even if you were in the unit, as other people could walk straight in. The locks on the unit doors were worn and the security doors flimsy.
Some units appeared to be rented to permanent residents. There were a lot of people coming and going. The lift didn't always work and there was an unpleasant feel about the place.
On the upside, the unit itself was ok, if a little sparse. The layout was ok but the curtains have perished from the sun and the bed was uncomfortable. The pool was pleasant enough.
I would not recommend this facility, which is a real shame as the location was ideal. Be wary of the cheap prices on offer as reading other reviews it seems they will keep your bond on any little excuse and the same happened to us. Much better facilities nearby. I class this stay as one of my worst ever accommodation experiences!

My friend and I stayed 7 days and 6 nights at the Broadbeach Travel Inn Apartments in a standard 1 bedroom apartment, 2nd floor. $ 980 twin share.

I enjoyed my stay, there were 4 other groups that week of schoolies in our building ( first week of schoolies under 18's ). I did not enjoy the fact that our beds had no blankets or sheets, it did not say in the description to bring our own blankets and sheets. We told 2 different receptionists about it twice. We had to keep asking for towels to sleep on, 15 towels every second day, when they asked us why we needed them we told them and they said nothing did not even offer to come bring some up to us.

The groundsman ( or manager ) was very rude to me, while I was in my apartment alone, I closed the balcony door and locked on me twice ( the first time was when my friend was home ), so im standing on my balcony for 2 hours, there were other schoolies in the pool but they were rude and did not go get help for me, the groundsman walks past and he asked why I was alone & for my room number and came up to get me. The apartment door was locked so he had to bash the door down, breaking the lock, him you can see looked very angry came over and opened the balcony sliding door asking where my friend was & why I had not told the receptionist that my door was playing up. The money was not taken out of my bond to fix the door because it was not my fault. That man was very rude and needed a lesson in manners.

Pool and Spa were nice, I made good use out of them. The staff never mentioned the games room to me, I know know where it must be, my friend and I explored the entire building and couldn't find it. One small squishy lift. The bathroom windows are facing the aisle that lead to peoples rooms, someone can jump up and look at you in the shower. We also looked at the rooms of the other schoolies, the girls next to us had the same room but much more modern, the boys had a 2 bedroom room, it was very nice, the girls upstairs had a very nice room, and the people on the top floor had an amazing apartment!

Now that I am looking for a residential rental of myself on the Gold Coast, at $270 p/w to live in this building is alright.

For a holiday waste of money, go stay somewhere else, with a sauna and gym. Could have stayed somewhere much nicer with that amount of money.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed.

There are multiple problems with this place as listed below. After approaching management 3 times we had no response.

Here are a few of the problems and we have photos to back this up;

Illegal, broken powerboard with cords hanging out. Photos.

Aircon not working and broken. Photos.

Broken bedside lamp. Photo.

Cockroach on curtain. Photos.

Front security screen door doesn't lock.

Sliding door in main bedroom doesn't lock.

Broken balcony railing. Photos.

Place smells like infestation.

Kitchen tap slow upstart.

Dirty balcony. Photos.

Dirty front handle.

Bathroom tap off hinge.

Shower door doesn't close properly.

Dining room table broken and leg hanging off.

Glass shards on floor. Cut toe. Photos.

Miserable! And terrible value for money!

Great location, across road from pacific fair for great shopping and bus stop to other attractions. Clean and tidy, adequate cooking facilities, friendly staff. Beds were perfectly fine comfort wise. Draculas and casino are 5 min walk away. We did not seem to hear the noise from the highway.
