The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was really great. There was a smell in the kitchen which I believe was caused from the drains in the property. We told reception Friday night and someone came on Saturday morning and most of the smell disappeared. I have to admit the smell nearly made me sick and I could not go into the kitchen. The bed was a bit small and would have preferred a king size bed. The room had enough space for one. The bathroom was a bit small. The pool area was great with a lot of cover so that you didn't get burnt. We had drinks and food (which we brought up to the pool ourselves) which was very relaxing. A couple of suggestions - bring your own pool towels as it cost $5 per towel from reception. Take the inside cover off the bathroom products before you get in the shower to use them.

My husband and I stayed at the Phoenician Resort for our most recent holiday. We booked a one bedroom apartment for five nights, and as we were having such a wonderful time we extended for an extra night. To start with, the booking process couldn't have been easier or smoother. Lovely receptionists, so helpful and accommodating. Checking in was quick and easy, again with such helpful, friendly staff. Our apartment was lovely with everything we could possibly need, including complimentary dishwashing liquid, washing powder, toiletries, milk, tea and coffee to start us off, which meant we didn't need to rush to the supermarket the first day. The apartment was clean, bright and airy, with air-con in both living area and bedroom, a well equipped kitchen, roomy bedroom and spacious living area. Bathroom a little on the small size but quite adequate. A lovely, well sized balcony with table and chairs, overlooking Surf Parade and wonderful for sitting with a relaxing drink, watching life pass by. Outdoor pool downstairs was delightful. Clean and well maintained, with sun lounges, table and chairs and BBQ, all clean as well. There is also an indoor pool with a spa. Location was exceptional. Restaurants lined both sides of the street below, all with a wide variety of food to pick from. Two minutes walk and you were at the mall and Oasis shopping centre (with a Woolworths supermarket). Across the road the tram to take you to Surfers Paradise or Southport, down the road the massive Pacific Fair shopping centre, and across the road the casino. There was nowhere you needed to go that wasn't within walking distance from the Phoenician Resort. It's small things like cleanliness, helpfulness, convenience, and value for money that make a holiday great, and the Phoenician Resort has it all. Thank you Phoenician for making our holiday so comfortable and memorable. We will definately be back.

This was my third stay at Phoenician, and it is definitely my favourite Gold Coast destination - amenities, staff, location, all very good. The free wifi and secure carpark are excellent additions to the package and provide real value for money. The outdoor pool was being renovated but I was still able to sunbathe nearby and avail myself to heated pool, spa and sauna indoors. I look forward to my next trip to Gold Coast and another great stay at Phoenician.

What else is there to say other than.. what an experience. I stayed in room 2412 and from the moment I walked into reception I was greeted like I was family, everyone I came into contact with went above and beyond and were so friendly, the room was immaculate and the facilities made me want to stay forever, daily trips to the sauna, spa and pool and to top it all off a 90 minute relaxation massage at their in house day spa!! I 100% will be visiting again and again and again can not fault the Phoenician!

We had a nice stay overall at the Phoenician but there are a few things that could definitely be improved.

First the good. Reception staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. The resort was great about arranging earlier check in. There is secure onsite parking included. Location is absolutely fantastic with a vast array of restaurants surrounding the resort and just a short walk to the beach. Facilities with indoor pools, spa, outdoor spa were really good.

Our room was HUGE with heaps of space. Beds were comfy and Foxtel much appreciated. The unit also included washing facilities and a full kitchen.

Unfortunately the resort is let down a little by maintenance and cleanliness. Our fridge took nearly a full 24 hours to become cold. The door to our room didn't shut unless you slammed it and we often found that we found the door ajar several times when we returned to find the kids hadn't "slammed it". The sliding door to the deck was off it's rails. The toilet cistern was strangely empty and wouldn't flush until we manually filled the cistern on arrival. The fan in the bedroom sounded like it was going to fly off the ceiling.

The cleaning really needs to be improved. There were dirty marks on the walls near light switches and doors, the cushion covers in the lounge hadn't been cleaned in some time and had food stains on them. There was a bunch of mouldy biscuits under the bed when we moved it a smidge to the side. Hygiene was enough of an issue that we made a point of cleaning all the kitchen utensils prior to use.

Most of these things are pretty easy fixes though. Perhaps it was our unit in particular - the resort lobby was immaculate as were the public areas of the resort. With a little care and attention to cleaning in the rooms the resort could really shine. It's got quite a lot going for it and we enjoyed our stay. I'd consider staying again and if the cleaning was better it could easily become a favourite stay.

Drove down from Brisbane for a Friday, Saturday stay. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the single bedroom apartment was roomy and clean with two aircons, one in the lounge and the other in the bedroom. The facilities were great with spa, indoor and outdoor pools. The apartment had a fully appointed kitchen, with dishwasher, laundry, clothes drier. Heaps of nearby restaurants and Casino and beach within easy walking distance. Highly recommended and good value for money.

Just had to report what a wonderful stay we had at the Phoenician Resort at Broadbeach. The apartment (1 bedroom) was immaculate, well layed out and thoroughly inviting to come back to. We found the staff to be very helpful and informative on places to go during our stay, particularly the best restaurants to eat at. Key for us was the proximity of the resort to everything that is happening in Broadbeach, and we cannot recall having to walk more than 10 minutes to anything we wanted to do; eating, drinking, shopping, beach etc.

All in all, a fantastic trip which we will most certainly look to do again in the very near future. Well done the Phoenician Resort you have set the bar very high for others in the area to try and match!

A great place to stay, next to shops, close to tram stop, & beach . Great views, & good facilities with 2 pools & also a gym. Also friendly helpful reception staff. What we especially found good is that they don’t bump the price up in the school holidays. ( think it only goes up during summer ones). This resort is located in Broadbeach, one of the nicest ares of the Gold Coast. Our 1 bedroom apartment was quite spacious, with a big lounge area, also a good balcony that would get the morning sun, & also late sun, before it sets over the Gold Coast mountains. The apartments also contain washing & drying facilities which is very helpful! Minimum noise is also heard from other apartments. The key cards we were given are also easy to Cary around & use to access all the resort facilities. I would definitely recommend staying at the pheonician for anyone coming to stay on the Gold Coast, & wanting to be somewhere central to everything

We stayed in room 2812 which was in the North Tower on the 8th floor with ocean views. These are only partial views as there are too many buildings around to see much of the ocean. The outlook is great as you can see the street view and surroundings. Sally, Di and Julie are all very helpful and friendly. They matched another internet deal and still accommodated my request for a high floor or ocean views. I'd rather book direct and help in this struggling economy. There is everything you need in the room including a washer and drier, and lots of eateries close by .....and the casino is walking distance. Undercover car park is included and both the pool areas are superb with good pool temperatures. I would highly recommend this place with a beautiful Mediterranean feel about it with close proximity of groceries, shopping centres and the casino.

I have stayed at the Phoenician on several occasions but it has been a few years since my last visit. Nothing has changed - in a good way - Unit was fantastic, spacious and clean and supplied everything we needed. The facilities are very well maintained and several pool options are great if you are travelling with small children. Julie at reception is a wonderful asset to the Phoenician and was so helpful and accommodating with our requests. The resort is walking distance to many eating options, beach, park and local shopping and our car didn't leave the carpark during our stay. Thank you again for making a long awaited family reunion such a great time and looking forward to my next stay.

To be Honest I got a sorry but that was about it. But when I thought about it and weight up all the convenience of where I was in relation to where I had to go to work and places to eat it wasn’t a big issue. So I did enjoy the stay
