This hotel is as lovely as the pictures. The pool is great, the staff are wonderful, the apartment was lovely and spacious, the bed comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect for getting the tram to Surfers (its straight across the road) only 50 cents!, Pacific Fair my dream shopping location - straight across the road a 5 minute walk. Close to the beach, across the road from Draculas. It was brilliant. We stayed 3 nights and wish we were there longer!

My daughter and I enjoyed a fabulous 3 night stay in a Seaview 2 Bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and comprised 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, a large living room and generous dining area with a table that seated 4 people. There was also a well equipped laundry. The decor was fresh and clean. Both bedrooms were similar in size but one bedroom had a 2 hand basin vanity and walk in shower in its ensuite whereas the 2nd bedroom had just the one hand basin and smaller shower. A generous balcony afforded a view towards the ocean. The beach is an easy 10 minute walk. The swimming pool and garden area was lovely, exactly as the online picture represents. There is also a light and airy indoor pool at ground level. The small on-site coffee shop was a bonus for that early morning latte and pastry or toastie to start the day. Next door to Bel Air is a Pizza Hut and convenience store and a short 6-7 minute walk over the road is Pacific Fair, a very large shopping complex. Also over the road is the Sth Broadbeach light rail and bus stop. Bus 777 runs from here to the Coolangatta airport at 15-20 min intervals throughout the day and into the early evening. Likewise is the trip from the airport. A wonderful service that cost approx $6.50 for an adult. Cheaper again from seniors. Reception staff were welcoming and always cheerful and helpful throughout our stay. Reception is not open 24 hrs and had closed when we arrived in a late flight. However, the instructions we were given to access our room key and then find our room were very easy to follow. There was a ph number included if extra help was needed. Thank you Bel Air for a lovely experience. We are looking forward to returning for a longer stay.

Booked by travel agent but was really worthwhile and good value. One block back from beach and easy walking distance to entertainment and restaurants (Oasis area and Kurrawa Surf Club - this was best value for food and views), as well as bus/tram stops. The Pacific Fair mall was also very close. Apartment had good sea views with a full kitchen (and laundry) and was clean and tidy. Indoor and outdoor pool very convenient too.

The Bel air is in a great location, has a lovely pool but it was rather impersonal. You have to use your key card for everything. Even to exit the pool area which actually feels a little unsafe. The room we stayed in could do with an update. Stains on the carpet and a very uncomfortable couch but it had a large living area and nice balconies. I have seen bigger bathrooms on cruise ships or bigger walk in pantries. In the master en-suite you couldn’t even brush your teeth with the bathroom door ajar as it was too small.

We stayed here for the location and stayed in the- North Tower. It was a short walk to Pacific Fair Shopping center. You could walk to Star Casino. Glink (tram) was right out the front across the busy road and a short ride away to Surfers. Margaret Av beach was 8 minute walk away. It was a nice walk every morning. Oracle Boulevard is also within walking distance and has plenty of restaurants, however we only ate there on the first night as we found it expensive. Pizza hut was out the front of Bel Air and a great option if you want to stay in. There was a tiny café on site which we didn't use as there was an awesome café a few blocks away. Pool was good and spa worked well.
Now the room was clean but definitely showed signs of age. Appliances were really old and I am surprised most worked. The inroom hairdryer was broken which we informed Reception of on day 1. On checkout they were again reminded of the broken wall hairdryer. You get a "starter pack" which included a small detergent packet, milk, coffee and toiletries and get told that anymore that is required you during your stay you need to pay . You get ONE towel per person for the whole stay. And it wasn't even a bath towel. We asked for an extra towel and was told we would need to pay. Pool towels were not complementary and you also needed to pay if you wanted one. Reception only operated till 6pm on most days.
Would I stay there again.....maybe if the room rate was on sale. But for what we paid and got I would stay somewhere else next time. There are hotels in the surrounding area that likely provide the same as we got from Bel Air at a cheaper rate.
Also if your staying in Broadbeach it is a quiet area with most restaurants closing at 9pm

Pros Easy walking distance to Pacific Fair, The Star, beautiful pool and Broadbeach Restaurants Cons Roadworks throughout the night which I was not informed about prior to staying, I taped the loud machinery operating at 1am this morning as I could not sleep from the noise, but unable to attach it. The guest bathroom did not have shower screens. The guest bedroom fan could only be operated if the light was on at the same time only. The ensuite to main became flooded every time you showered, with the water reaching the ensuite door. I ended up making a towel wall to dam the water. Please see photos.

We were very impressed staying here. The apartment was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable! The pool area was also very well maintained, and we loved spending days here. The location is ideal, plenty of places to eat and drink a short walk away, and the local beach was stunning. We often walked to the beach for a morning swim. When we return to the Gold Coast I will certainly look at staying here again!

Husband and wife travelling through Queensland, shopping and catching up with children and grandchildren that live there. Bel air is centrally located - a stones throw from pacific fair mall trains and bus across the road , beach a few hundred metres to the other side . 3 main towers to the hotel - several hundred rooms - some are owner occupied . A little ages now but well kept ; pools and gym on site also.

Our room when we first got in had a weird smell that was smelt from the hallway when we got out of the lift. Was told I couldn’t pay my bond in cash due to no cleaners working on the day we were due to check out, being Covid, that seemed really concerning. The room I booked was a room with just a shower, got given a room with a shower over bath, I’m pretty short and slipped as I stepped out of the bath as it was so high. Went down to reception to request a room change to one with a seperate shower and was told that it would be a $100+ fee to move rooms due to cleaning fee. Pool was nice though

The smell you experienced in the hallway was most likely from someone cooking in an adjacent apartment which I am sure you can appreciate is not something we can controI. I am sorry that you were not given a room with a walk in shower. I can only assume that you had not actually requested a walk in shower when you made the booking or the request may not have been passed on by your booking agent. This is the fifth time staying at Bel Air, you cannot beat the location and the facilities here are excellent! We stayed in the 3-bedroom apartment 1102 and it is spacious, clean and has the absolute best view overlooking the beach! We will be back again for a sixth stay for sure ❤️

I cannot answer that question as we had to specially request an apartment with suitable bathroom facilities for a 92yr old and only had a one bedroom apartment.

We do offer free wifi but only for Superior room bookings and direct bookings. Our charges otherwise are quite reasonable compared to most at $7.50 for 1 day, $15 for 3 days or $25 for a week. I cannot say what you outlook will be at this stage because we do not allocate rooms until just before your stay but as you have booked a standard apartment it will most likely be a lower floor.
