So after a few nice drinks in the bar and a nibble order of calamari which was lovely but minimal. We looked forwarded to our first night of food. Chicken liver parfait was delish! Mains we'll waste of money! Lamb kebab over done, shop bought flat bread and salty chips!! Crab linguini dry, plain and I've had better out of...

Nice breakfast and good location. Easy to walk to Chatsworth. Room 2 was small for price but decorated nicely. Very disturbed sleep. Room above made a lot of noise late at night and floorboards were extremely creaky. Doors slamming outside the room. Not good if you're a light sleeper like myself.

We booked two nights (£190) over Easter as we were attending a wedding nearby at Chatsworth House. For whatever reason, we were told we had to change room for the second night although we had booked for two nights. No explanation as to why. Okay, never mind - I'm sure the second room will be equivalent to the one we...

Sadly, this is the second time i have had to review this place as negative reviews seem to disappear. I went here on the 8th of April, 2017. The menu's were written on dirty pieces of paper and attached to dirty clipboards. I wasn't tempted by the menu and asked if they do specials, the barman went to ask the...

Exceptional four day stay at this very pleasant and well run b&b, pub and restaurant. Our room was clean, tidy and well presented and nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff team who were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast options were fantastic and very tasty with the only minor criticism being the speed of service. The bar area was...

The Devonshire Arms has been an old favourite of mine for a while, always able to count on well made coffee, tastefull and comfortable decor and pleasant staff. We have seen changes in staff over the years although always polite and welcoming. There has been a new addition of a children's area which I was quite excited about, having a...

Really good food and well kept beer. Good value, quality was first class and portion size good. Staff were really helpful and friendly too. Well behaved dogs welcome in the comfortable bar where the same menu as in the resturant is on offer. We had two really lovely meals with starters mains and two drinks each for £45 and we...

Arrived not long before due to stop serving but very friendly and helpful and never rushed, the food was very good and the pub was lovely and welcoming can well recommend. As we only had a meal we have had to mark down on rooms but food wise as previously stated can well recommend.

When staying at Chatsworth Caravan Park with friends we all arranged a meal at The Devonshire Arms, Baslow. Expensive but usually nice. Seven of us went on Sunday for a meal and I have no idea what has gone wrong. The food was awful. I could only eat half of the roast beef as it was mainly, fat, uncooked in...

Booked here for Mother's Day on the strength of reviews. We were disappointed with our Roast beef dinner. I have never experience such a rubbery piece of meat served up for a traditional roast (and I have had a few). We also seemed to be seated in a twilight zone as people seated next to us ordered starters and mains...
