We were welcomed by Gary and Ann, who are excellent hosts. We were upgraded to a turret room which had amazing far reaching views. After a brilliant wine tasting session at the Cellar Door for 1.5 hours we retreated to a private dining room for an excellent supper. Would loved to have stayed longer to explore the beautiful garden, enjoy...

Thankyou for your review. Kind praise indeed and it was a pleasure to host you both. The tasting was fun and nice to have such an appreciative and knowledgeable couple to host. Look forward to hosting you again some time. Safe trip home

We were welcomed by our lovely hosts, and looked after extraordinarily well. The food was excellent, great breakfast. The house is spectacular and when we asked about its history they took time to explain and showed us around. Lovely spa pool outside. Well worth the visit and we plan to go back.

We had the Phillips Turret room and were encouraged to Gary and Ann to explore and get to know the house and property. We were very happy to do so and felt completely at home also strolling in the beautiful gardens and adjacent vineyard.

I had the privilege of staying at Te Kiteroa Lodge with my Mum and husband Joop over the Christmas period at the end of December 2015. What a treasure home to find high on the hill looking over Waimate town and surrounded by vineyards! Without a doubt the world-travelled hosts were friendly and welcoming and went out of their way...

Glad you enjoyed most of the stay. Sorry about the hot water pressure but Govt regulations say we shall have a tempering valve so we dont scald our guests. Our system is a low pressure base and they really do drop the hot water pressure to levels whereby at times the cold water pressure overpowers the hot. Pipework is all...

We were fortunate to stumble across Te Kiteroa by mistake. We had a team of 5 working in the area for a week and there was no accommodation available for the duration in Oamaru where we normally stay. What a treat, a beautifully restored character building adequately modernised but without destroying the feel. Morning chorus of bellbirds and tuis watching...

Te Kiteroa Lodge is a hidden treasure, situated on a hillside vineyard on the outskirts of Waimate and with a sweeping panoramic view of the town, spectacular countryside and Pacific Ocean. Formerly a homestead of baronial proportions, it has been lovingly restored to offer spacious and superbly comfortable accommodation and a truly club-like atmosphere. The whole experience is further enhanced...

Te Kiteroa Lodge is steeped in history. Beautifully restored the accommodation is exceptional as are hosts Gary and Ann. The vineyard with complimentary wine tasting and tour is an added bonus. The extensive breakfast and conversation with hosts was a great way to start the day. Vines restaurant makes exceptional coffee and cheesecake while the venison dish we had was...

Nestled under the hills in a wee gem of a town, we first visited Te Kiteroa for a family wedding & decided it would make a great retreat for our anniversary. We stayed in the Phillips Turret Room which is large & spacious with heaps of character & amazing views. Our room was superbly clean, toasty warm (we stayed in...

We stayed in the chauffeur's cottage at Te Kiteroa Lodge, had dinner at the Vines winery restaurant. Ann willingly showed us the lodge the following day explaining the changes and history. This whole property was an amazing find... on the hills overlooking the autumnal vineyards with views of Waimate and the surrounding countryside to the sea. The climb to see...
