We stayed in nearly new chalet unit. It had everything we needed and was in good condition. There are few lodging or dining choices nearby. The Hermitage that has been upgraded is very expensive. Very helpful people operating the place. Recommended

Stayed here for 2 nights in January whilst hiking and kayaking in the area. We paid extra for a room with a view, and what a treat, watching the sunset over Mount Cook. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the on site kitchen was very handy for cooking your own meals. There aren't too many options for dinner in...

My friend and I stayed in a four bed dorm for one night. The rooms are basic but clean. It is clear this used to be a motel and the rooms have had a bed swap (doubles to bunks). The beds were very uncomfortable as the mattress was a thin memory foam. My friend and I got back ache from...

While cramped, the rooms were more than acceptable for an overnight at this amazing location. Our downstairs room had a partial view. A shared upstairs lounge and kitchen provided space to spread out and enjoy the view. The best day walks on a sunny day, Hooker Valley and Mt. Cook are don't miss experiences.

This place is really basic and nothing fancy. For the price we paid, I would say it was quite expensive too. Good points: The kitchen had all the equipments and cutlery you need to cook up a feast as long as you brought your own food. This would be good if you came in a big group. They also have...

Location was great and good view of Mount Cook. Room and bathroom were large but average. We had a small deck, which was nice in the evening. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We used the cooking facilities, which were a bit dated but well equipped.

We stayed at the Alpine Lodge for one night. The property has excellent views of the surrounding mountains, although it was misty and rainy at the time of our visit. The lodge has a communal kitchen and dining area, with a large lounge. There was excellent information provided in the room on menus of the local restaurants, walking tours and...

This lodge has far exceeded my expectations. I was unsure about shared accommodation with a 7 and 14 yo but it was absolutely perfect. Why stay at a huge hotel when you can stay somewhere away from the crowds? We stayed four nights which was four times longer than everyone else!! During the day we had the place to ourselves!...

Love the location here and the views were incredible. We were able to walk to the Hillary Alpine Center. Parking was good and the common area was really nice. Our room was basic but gave us all we needed. Nice staff who made good recommendations. Nothing fancy but I definitely recommend.

We had a lovely night here. The views from the rooms are stunning. Loved the kitchenette. Utilised the facility and cooked a bolognese rather than eat out. Rooms are a really good size. The Argo tour is a must do. Preferred to the neighbouring Hermitage.
