After a wonderful introduction to South Island at Pacific View Paradise, Christchurch, we thought that Beluga would have a difficult act to follow. As we approached the suburban location, at dusk and in the rain, we even wondered if we'd made the right decision. Our concerns proved unfounded when James greeted us at the door, leading us into a huge...

The warm welcome and generous hospitality of hosts, Arlene and James, is second to none. This was my second stay at Beluga Lodge in Methven for some snowboarding fun at nearby Mt Hutt and I would highly recommend Beluga Lodge to anyone seeking a little luxury and a restful, quiet place to get away from it all. It is located...

From booking in to saying goodbye Beluga Lodge had customer service down pat. We chose Beluga Lodge after searching frantically for our spontaneous short ski holiday. We were looking for luxury, close proximity, great value packages and most recommended accomodation. Luxury - hot tub, beds made everyday, freshly made breakfasts to perfection with other delicous options, bathroom toiletries were gorgeous...

This is the second time we've stayed at Beluga lodge and we'll be staying there again next year. Absolutely lovely lodge and Arlene is the perfect host. The rooms are fanstatic, the lounge very relaxing and the breakfast delicious. Lovely, homely and warm accomodation. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at the Beluga lodge for four nights for a quick snow boarding break. The lodge is one of the best places we have ever stayed. They have a drying room for all your snow stuff, the breakfast is amazing. The staff are very friendly and the layout of the lodge is great. The staff were...

4 of us stayed at Beluga Lodge Monday 23/7/2012 in 2 double rooms, lovely atmosphere, very helpfull hostess, Arlene. The lounge area with fire place provided a relaxing few hours in the afternoon with a drink and meeting fellow guests. The rooms were well appointed, but there was not enough water pressure to suit us. Would reccomend this property to...

I booked one of the lodge rooms as a romantic getaway and snowboarding weekend for my girlfriend and I at the beginning of June. It was absolutely perfect!!! The whole place is beautiful, from the forever roaring log fire in the lounge to the wonderfully warm in all weather hot tub in the garden. Arlene and James are excellent hosts,...

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Beluga Lodge. We couldn't have picked a nicer place. Everything was perfect from the divine toiletries, to the cozy open fire, to the hot tub and beautiful garden. The hosts have thought of everything. It was very hard to leave and we hope to be back very soon.

We wanted a night away to relax and recharge our batteries, but didn't want to spend hours in the car getting there. We selected Beluga Lodge because of the reviews on Tripadvisor. It's a bit like Dr. Who's tardis, looks small from the outside but once inside it opens up into a different world where all you can do is...
