Stayed recently for one night which was great. Room is quite compact but lovely and clean with great bathroom. Steve and Fenella made us very welcome and we had a lovely home cooked evening meal with 2 other guests from Australia who arrived 5 minutes after us. A really lovely time and we left having met some really nice people.

We spent the 4th day of our Alps 2 Ocean ride completing two sections, amounting to about 70 kms. Sadly, we had a cold, strong head wind. But in Kurow, we were able to call Fenella and Steve. We were wisked away to a hot fire, warm bread, delicious wine and a slice of sweet cake to renew our energy....

We stayed at Sublime Lodge while biking the Alps to Ocean cycle trail. There are two guest rooms off a verandah, adjoining the guest's dining room. The rooms are quite small, furnished in period style, no TV, no soundproofing between rooms. Steve and Fenella are great hosts, and dinner (pork belly) was superb. One downside if you are cycling -...

We loved loved loved sublime, Steve, Fennela and their lovely equally hospitable daughters. They've done an amazing job at interior designer. The organic home grown wine is to die for. The homely food made with fresh local ingredients is memorable. But mostly, you'll note the stunning regional and winery views and the peaceful silence - I've never heard nothing like...

My son an I stayed for one night during our Alps to Ocean "A20" trip. The vista and tranquility of the valley is superb. Hosts Fanella and Steve are very welcoming, eager to please and do so with aplomb. We were served freshly baked bread with butter and olive oil for afternoon tea, still warm! The three course meal was...

We stayed recently at Sublime Lodge for a staff function. They did us a favour as we were a larger group than is usual for them. We're all hospitality workers so it was so aweaome to be so well looked after and feel so welxome and at home!! Great food. Great wine. Fantastic atmosphere and people :) I would visit...

Dropping into Kurow form the Dansey's, we decided to stay for the night. A quick check on trip advisor resulted in a phonecall to Sublime and fortunately they had a night free. It's about 10 minutes out of town on a quiet country back road. The accommodation is a wing of the house filled with art and seriously cool stuff....

This was our Kurow stop on the Alps to Ocean cycle trail. Steve picked us up from the Kurow Winery to save us a few kilometres on gravel roads. A welcoming, peaceful place with lovely views of vineyard and the mountains beyond the Waitaki River. The meal was special - paua and their own beef, and the wine sublime. Breakfast...

We loved this place. From the moment we arrived, Steve and Fenella were fun and charming, with just the right balance of hosting and leaving us be to relax. At various points, we sat by the roaring fire and covered ourselves in blankets on the terrace to watch the sun create beautiful patterns on the mountains. The B&B itself is...

Sublime B & B is located 5km off the main Waitaki Valley highway linking Omarama and Oamaru. It is blissfully located in a rural setting on a Vinyard. The decor is eclectic, the service relaxed and excellent, the food is sensational, honestly it's worth a stay for Femellas' cooking alone. We had paua patties as a starter followed by a...
