There is not much accommodation in Arthur's Pass, so we were lucky to get a room. As a couple we got a room in a 'cottage' which had 3 other rooms. There is a wood heater and well equipped kitchen. (Bring your own food - local store is very small!) Lots of hot water. As there was only 1 other...

Just stayed the 1 night here in the dorm. The bunks were made of wood, so didn't make noise like the metal ones. Room was warm and bed comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need and was large. Upstairs you can relax on the couch or outside facing the mountains. Bathrooms were clean. I think there was only 1 power point...

I arrived very late after driving from Christchurch, and the key to my Private Room (which was part of a lovely old house with shared kitchen, living and bathroom facilities) was waiting at the hostel office. A map had been left so it was easy to find, and my room was immaculate; spacious and warm. The shared facilities were clean...

My husband and I stayed here for one night in a Private Double Cabin, sharing a kitchen, living space, and bathroom with three other rooms. The place is very remote, but there is a place to eat very close in town. Need to pay for wifi passes, but it works well. Would stay again if in the area!

This was a surprise. first visit to a Youth Hostel. What a revelation. We had a little cottage on the high Street - fully self contained and spotlessly clean. The cottage, named South, had an electric heater and an electric blanket plus a heated towel rail. We needed it, despite it being March. It is situated right in the middle...

We booked via booking.com and there was a mix up and our accommodation was not available. The guy could not have handled it better. He found room for us to stay and helped in every way possible, a potential nightmare became feeling very well looked after. The room was excellent and we were very very impressed. First rate service.

I booked a single room with shared toilet, it was nice because it was a cottage and I shared 2 toilets with only 3 rooms. I had kitchen and wi-fi. Maybe the only not so comfortable thing is to have the reception like 200 metres away but still it's a nice place to stay in Arthur's pass.

And an affordable (for NZ's reality) backpacker/hostel place at Arthur's pass. Our room was in a house which had fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms/toilets which have heat lamps as well. There were three rooms in the house and one common room with great fireplace. With 5C temp outside (in the middle of summer) and pouring rain sitting in front...

Nice place to stay, kitchen is pretty good. A lot of families staying there. No private washrooms and no wi-fi. Reception was great, friendly staff. Location is good, close to the train station and the main hike.

We rented a cabin for 4 of us, it was a really great experience, nice kitchen, wood burning stove (which was lit and warm when we arrived), two bathrooms, one with a separate shower, a dining area and a gathering room. The beds were adequate if not spectacular and each bedroom had individual heat. It was a pleasant walk into...
