If there's any other option available go for it, this hotel its in my top 3 worst hotels ever. Loudest hotel I've ever stayed (backpackers incluided), you can actually hear people's conversations on the next door rooms. The beds and blankets are OLD and some smelly. We didn't have hot water on out room for like 2 days, and they...

20 minutes away from the airport, you arrive to Madera Labrada, a great natural spot in Tarapoto. The services are good enough, with big rooms made all of wood. Amazing pool area and probably the best regional food I've ever had in the jungle (actually, it IS the best regional food I've had, make yourself a favor and try their...

Hostal prices - but super environment. Really nice pool area. Relaxed atmosphere. Restaurant - though limited selection. Great break from the noisy dorms in hostals. Hot water, jungle sounds, friendly staff, wifi. In general, wifi is not to be taken for granted in this area and getting access to reliable info a bit difficult. Come prepared on businfo etc.

This place was great, staff was really friendly and accommodating. Seemed a bit pricey but overall well worth it. The restaurant was really good, we ate there most days. Breakfast was free!!! You will have to use a moto to get to the town center but it shouldn't be more than 4 soles. Wifi connection was not that great went...

A beautiful lodge that is a 5 minute ride from the centre with a feeling of being right in the jungle. Great place to relax in the pool or in a hammock on your balcony! Good value and service. A lovely gem in Tarapoto. Eat in town or at a nearby restaurant (there are a few good ones around)

Given the cost (S/120 per night), I expected a higher caliber of hotel. The location is beautiful and the rustic rooms fit the setting nice, but we found the place a bit run down and dirty. While I understand that it is rustic, I still think big cobwebs could be swept out of the corners of the room. The tablecloth...

We wanted to go to Rio Shilcayo originally, but after reading all the reviews about the bad service, we opted for this one. My mom and I wanted a quiet place, so we opted for Madera Labrada since it was not in the center where there are tons of motorcycles and traffic. We found Madera Labrada through the tour agency;...
