We were welcomed with a smile and shown to a lovely room with a balcony and views across the village and up to the snowy mountains. One word of caution watch the top step on the stairs as the riser is higher than expected. Breakfasts were ok but the evening meal was so good we ate in on both nights...

Delicious food, beautiful rooms. This is more an inn than a hotel, and has the ambience of rural old Castile. Highly recommended. Unique experience. You can't go wrong with Artesa, which offers by far the best accommodation and restaurant not only in Candelario, but in the area

Hotel Artesa sits right in the centre of the amazingly beautiful village of Candelario. It's a beautiful building, the rooms are charming and spacious, and the owners are friendly. What more could you ask for in this most beautiful corner of Castilla?

After some reserach on the net, we found a ski station and immediately started browsing for some place to stay for a week. Artesa is in...
