we booked a last minute (2 week notice) trip to the Grand Massif and found this hits on booking.com

it was a great location. clean and ample studios with small kitchenette bedding (make the bed yourself on arrival) and towels.

we arrived after the reception closed (make sure you advise when booking) and very easy instructions were left for us to make sure we got into the room Ok.

the breakfast option was adequate for our needs and a very short walk (up hill) to the Morillon free ski bus or a 10 minute walk (if not in ski boots) takes you to the main gondola.

location was great. all facilities you’d expect such as ski room and wi-fi. would certainly return

This is a very nice place to stay, it is a good lower budget option. There is nothing fancy but everything is great. We would go back. The rooms are clean, warm and cosy with comfy beds, there was plenty of hot water for 4 for showers etc. It was quiet in the evenings and that helps for a good nights rest after hitting the slopes. The pool was okay for a quick dip although the water was quite cool. The residence is 10 mins walk partly up hill from the main telecabine. There is a ski rental shop almost next door and the ski bus to the telecabine stops just across the road. We didnt book breakfast as there is a great patisserie about 5 mins walk away and a small but very well stocked superette just a little further on. Dining out in the village is not over expensive but there is a need to book if you want to eat out.

Great location, staff were friendly and helpful, clean, good breakfast. Good value. Handy having ski lockers you can use at the top of the ski lift. Rooms are dated, no wifi, TV, kettle, not that these are essential and we needed but nice to have when you want to chill after a busy day

We had a short ski break and were booked into this resort by a tour operator. Not knowing what to expect it turned out to be excellent. Reception was helpful. The one bed self catering apartment was spacious with everything you would need - and a balcony. Good sized pool and large boot room. It is a 10 min walk to the lifts but the ski bus stops close by. Overall I’d fully recommend and, due to the short stay, we didn’t get to use all facilities available.

Good location of accommodation, ski bus stop is just opposite. You can guy breakfast in boulangerie which is very close to property. If you want to eat dinner in the local restaurants it is good idea to book it in advance.

Reasonable room for the price with a great view. However, if you arrive before the 5pm check in the building is locked and there is no reception which seems strange. We assume this was to save money on staffing. You have to make your own beds up - again we assume to save money. A cleaner kindly let us in and store our cases. Both receptionists were rude. Located at the end of the village next to a ski hire place which was excellent.

If you think you desperately need a holiday and there is no available room in sight, this hotel would make you feel that you should have stayed at home anyway.

After deciding to check out after two days instead of the 7 planned due to multiple items that did not function (TV, bathroom sink, parking, heating in the children’s room!!! Etc) we were told that we cannot expect things to be fixed on the weekend. We grumbled and sighed as we agreed to let them keep our 50% downpayment. 15 minutes after we departed the hotel we received a text notice from our credit card company that they fraudulently charged the second half of our payment without our consent. Our learning from this experience: if you let this hotel have a glimpse at your credit card number they can easily charge you no matter what you agree on.

This case ended up in legal hands. This is just not the way to spend your holidays.

Cheap, clean, good location, nice pool, friendly staff, breakfast was basic, but.........

We were due to check out on Friday at 10.00am, but we were to ski all-day, then get our transfer at 6.30.

I asked during the week if we could leave our bags in the office, staff said that was fine.

Friday morning, the Manager said no. When asked where we could leave our bags all day, he shrugged and said "not my problem". He said that people took them with them, clearly a lie, as no-one can ski with a weeks worth of clothes on their back.

He claimed never to have been asked for a secure bag area before and asked me where it says in my contract that they should supply such an area.

There is also no-where except the open shower by the swimming pool to change at the end of the day.

Finally he offered to lock the bags in the dinning room, from 9.15-4.30, but at our own risk.

Do I think it would have been a different scenario if we spoke French....I will leave the thought with you.....

I would stay there again, but would have to plan to pay for a night we didn't intend to sleep there or leave early in the morning.

We know that the French have their own interpretation of client care and hospitality which is often below zero by any standard but this place beats everything. It is at best youth hostel standard.
The place looks like it is broke which will probably be the case in the near future if there will not be radical changes. The corridors are dark and gloomy, there is only one elevator per floor which is way too small for guests with ski luggage. Our room had a bad smell, the 'kitchen' area was nothing more than the weirdest combination of a ward robe with integrated sink, and two tiny hotplates, no light. The funrniture was cheap, carpet dirty, there was absoslutely not enough table wear and cutlery, no kitchen towels, no coffee maker. We brought the dirty table and chairs from the balcony in in order to eat. There are no drawers for your clothes, only one narrow ward robe. The towels in the bathroom are worn, there are no amenities. The bed is not made, the room not cleaned when you are out. There are only French speaking tv channels, the ski lockers don't function, the breakfast and breakfast room are a joke. Wifi is charged. If your ski gear is wet there is no place to hang and dry it. The location is about 600 meters from the ski lift. Is there nothing positive? The bed was allright and there is enough room for your luggage if you don't mind to put it on the floor, there is a free shuttle to the ski lift.
The place is not expensive but even so this is no value for money. We would love to spend more and have a decent place to stay. This was once but never again.

We arrived late and they were very accommodating, leaving us clear instructions and our keys. They also helped with any internet wifi issues, there is free wifi. The room had a beautiful view of the mountains and a nice balcony. Close the the village just a short walk uphill. The staff allowed me to stay a bit later given our flight was in the evening and went through lengths trying to find us a way to get to the airport. There are taxis and airport transfers.

I like newer clean hotels and enjoyed how clean and new this hotel was.
