My husband and I stayed in 8 different hotels on our Tour du Mont Blanc hike and this one was at the very top of the list. The exterior of the hotel has the alpine look similar to many other area properties and the room which looked recently remodeled was just lovely with a very comfortable mattress. The hotel is...

After 1st day of hiking TMB starting from Les Houches, we stayed here one night. Rooms are spacious with bathtub and deck, but we did find the walls a little thin, and we could overhear a lot of discussion. Staff was fantastic- both at the front desk and at the restaurant. We also ate here and food was great as...

Very nicely decorated and spacious room. We had half board reservation as part of our TMB trail. Took (the nice) breakfast to go because left early for a long walking day. Dinner was acceptable, but the vegetarian main dish was horrible - better to eat outside - there is a Pizza next by. Hotel location is a bit (about 2...

Located a 15 minute walk outside the main part of town, this was a full service hotel with lovely rooms, a bar, restaurant and a sauna. Note there is also bus service from the town but it only runs our life. We had airline luggage delivery issues and Julie at the front desk was extremely helpful in coordinating their delivery...

We stayed for a week and were happy with the room, the food and the staff. Yes, the wifi is patchy- we found that the best spot was by the lift on our floor and received a few curious looks from other guests while lurking. The half board menu was fine, with a choice of main course, soup and salad...

I stayed here on the penultimate night of our TMB. The room was comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good and there was lots of it. Wine is reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi didn't work in our room but that didn't bother me. There is a shop opposite which...

Employees have an attitude problem. In a country with incredible food, the restaurant here is terrible. We had dinner and breakfast. First, bfkst may be free but its not worth even free. Scrambled eggs made from a mix or in a micro or boil bag. (& cold) Dinner was so bad and overpriced. One of our main course salads was...

Bad comment arrives when the sales doesn’t match the advertising. Maybe A.E company is responsible for that but not quoted on tripadvisor. Basicly, A.E have accommodations in the hotel Gai Soleil in the center of Les Contamines. Nothing good when the hotel doesn’t match the expectations. Neither our employees, nor the food, nor the cold eggs, nor the wifi could...

Room was fine, if a little crowed for three people, but it worked well as a one night stop on the TMB and it had a balcony. Food was very disappointing. Had risotto that had some kind of pasta instead of rice ;-( Location is great for the TMB, less convenient if you want to go back into town for...
