Lots of up and down walking if you stay here. Located about 10 minutes from the beach midway between Mazunte and San Augustinillo. Underfurnished very plain rooms and marginal service. For the area, the hotel is quite overpriced. It costs no more to stay on the beach where the ambiance and breezes are much more pleasant.

Beautiful location and Rose is a most gracious host. Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed every second. A week of the stay involved a yoga retreat which we organized with the help of Rose. We then had an additional 2 weeks of R & R. We'll be back in Feb/March 2016 to host another yoga...

The dark room at Hotel Arigalan is a beautiful traditional cave made from rock. The door opens to beautiful coastal views. It is difficult to put such a profound experience into words, for that is asking the mind to grasp something which it can not. It is said that surrender is one of the most powerful tools on the spiritual...

Rose is absolutely one of the most attentive, caring, and approachable hosts I have ever encountered in my world travels. Love to you Rose. I was so happy staying there for my 3 weeks in January while taking a course at Hridaya Yoga next door. I loved my Cabana with all it's charm and efficiency. I loved the beautiful sunrises...

I spent almost a month at Hotel Arigalan. Rose is a wonderful host and cannot do enough for her guests. I stayed in one of the bungalow rooms which is a row of 3 rooms off of an outdoor hallway. My room faced the rising sun which I could enjoy right from my comfortable bed. My room was very clean...

I stayed at Hotel Arigalan for 10 days over March. I did not stay in the standard rooms but was the first person to stay in the hotel's recently completed Darkroom. I stayed for 7 days in the darkness where I received 2 meals a day and had my water refilled at that time too. The food was perfect as...

I was fortunate enough to stay for 2 weeks at Hotel Arigalan. Rose the owner was a great communicator even before I was shown my cabana. She let me know exactly which rooms and types were available and also linked my to a specific cab driver to transport from HUX. After a tour of the beautiful grounds showing many different...

My partner and I absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms are clean, bright and airy with amazing views over the ocean. Rose, the owner, cannot do enough to ensure her guests are well taken care of. The hotel also has its own direct access to the beach and to Hridaya Yoga, an excellent yoga school right next door. We had...

We spent 5 days at Posada Arigalan. We loved the location and the room (suite 7) was perfect. King bed, refridgerator, plunge pool, a/c, and a great view. Rose is very helpful with information on what to do and where to eat. The hotel sits between San Agustinillo and Mazunte and each town has a great beach and plenty of...

This hotel has beautiful views and quick access to the beach, but it is overpriced for the Mazunte area. The rooms are spacious and airy, but are equipped with the most basic amenities that one would find in almost any hotel (not the one you are paying almost 40% more than the local average for). There is no restaurant on...
