Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been staying at the Boot for a few days whilst I've been in the process of moving out of an old flat . It's been a wonderful experience. Breakfasts and other delicious meals cooked by Treena have been fantastic. The rooms at the back are so cosy, warm and comfortable at a very good reasonable rate. Locals and staff here are friendly and welcoming. Thank you again!🙏👍

The staff are lovely and polite. I go there a lot and I personally think that it’s a very family friendly atmosphere. Lots of different seating areas and the food and drinks are amazing. Definitely recommend. Good place to go for a drink with family and friends. The locals are also very friendly and the owners work very hard.

The atmosphere was cute and the locals were surprisingly friendly, the landlady was a pleasure to speak with and the pub is in good hands. The drinks were fairly priced and the food was exceptional, which was also cooked by the landlady. Truly a one woman band!

We stayed the night here as a family of 3, we had a wedding in the area. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful, let us store food in the pub fridge for our baby - and the delicious full English the next day was a massive bonus! We didn’t get to eat lunch or dinner here, but we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend, really great value for money!

Still our favourite pub in Hertfordshire. The roast beef lunch last Sunday was absolutely delicious. 😋👌 First time back after the New Year we sat outside in the gorgeous winter sunshine.🌞 Nothing to fault this classic English pub ticks all the right boxes everytime. 👍

We stayed at the Boot. It is a small local village pub, offering accommodation and food within Kimpton. Rooms are very clean and good,. If you check in for the full English breakfast, you will not be disappointed it is superb, very tasty and hot. Produce from the local places.

5 of us have just been to the Boot for lunchtime. There was a good choice of beers on tap and we were served very efficiently. The lunch menu was good pub food at very reasonable prices. The food was well cooked and came all together with very little waiting time. 4 of us had puddings. There was a gluten free option which one of our group had and was very happy with. 3 of us had homemade apple crumble and custard which I can thoroughly recommend. We shall definitely be back.

The Boot in Kimpton is one of our favourite ever Hertfordshire pubs where you can always guarantee a delicious Sunday roast lunch with great friendly service and a good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks😎👍 The outside garden areas are large and spacious, perfect for families or anyone who wants to dine out or drink alone. The car park area is both safe and handy with a children's play area at the back. The Boot never disappoints, it really is a jewel in the crown.👍

Lovely local.. Ordered food in advance as we were in a hurry.. It was there ready for us on arrival. Chilli with chips ordered off the menu tasted home-made.. Ham was generously cut.. Friendly professional staff didnt seem to mind we only drank water and softies.. we'll be back.

We had a light lunch - Baked potato with Tuna and a Beef Stew and hot crusted bread, followed by Apple crumble and ice cream. All piping hot, in a pleasant dining conservatory and reasonably priced. Service could not be more welcoming.
