Got a great offer deal for DBB between Christmas and New Year. Friendly staff and the restaurant was good and interesting. Just off the M6 but much better than the usual motorway budget stop. Would stay again with no doubts.

Continental and cooked breakfasts charged separately as lump sum. Therefore if you have orange juice and toast + full English you will be charged for Continental and cooked unless you challenge. Other than that food quality is good, room well presented overlooking river but was a little warm.

Yet another enjoyable stay at the Tickled Trout. Set aside the River Ribble the outdoor terracing is ideal for having an afternoon or evening drink. Our room gave us a perfect view of the river, and whilst within site if the M6 motorway was very quiet even with our window open at night. The bed was extremely comfortable, and bath/shower...

We stayed at the Tickled Trout after attending a wedding nearby, and were pleasantly surprised at our room, and then very impressed by the breakfast selection. Our room was very clean, with the bathroom looking particularly fresh and just what you'd expect. The bedsheets were of a good quality, and the bed itself was comfortable. We had a very good...

We popped in here for coffee and a pastry on our way down to Birmingham and it was a delightful stopover. The hotel itself was on the river and had a lovely outside seating area (although it was too cold to sit there); would be lovely in summer though. Staff were very pleasant and friendly, and the lounge where we...

Stayed here for one night in December. Booked directly with the hotel itself and got a double room with £10 credit for £50. Room was huge! Lazy boy reclining chair in the room. Very comfy bed. Shower wasn't the best but was fine. Bathroom door wouldn't stay open which was annoying as room steamed up and couldn't listen to music...

We have stayed here a couple of times in the past and it now feels as if this hotel is relying on the previous reputation of the McDonald chain. Staff are exceptional (thank you Anna) but the rooms and food aren't. Rooms are in need of refurbishment and a deep clean. Beds have been changed and are the smallest double...

The bar and food area sits to the side of the reception as you enter by the main doors. The Bar Menu is of good Lancashire fayre. Very well priced but if your in a rush think twice. The service is good although slow. So if you have time to relax you will enjoy the food on offer.

We stayed at the trickle Trout where we were at a conference. The room we had was excellent quality with a good desk to work and a mirror to do makeup. The 2 easy chairs made it very comfortable added to which one was a recliner. My husband needed more time in while as at the conference so checkout was...

Very conveniently located, good food and good ambience in public rooms. Bedroom rather small. Only downside was my wife inadvertently leaving behind an item of clothing in the bedroom which has not been traced.
