We arrived early and the room was ready. The room was lovely, bigger then we had expected and very clean. The chair and small settee were a little old fashioned but they were nice to have and very comfy. We had a drinks tray with water and biscuits, again unexpected for the price we paid, however no de-caf coffee on... More

We planned a night away in York to meet a friend that lived in Selby. The problem was was York was full and anywhere which wasn't was ridiculously expensive. We therefore chose to stay in Selby as it's just a short journey by train to York. We were recommended to Hazeldene by our friend and we weren't disappointed. Donna and... More

Good location, car park at the rear of the property was very useful rather than leaving it on the street. Check in easy and friendly. Small bar area where you could purchase drinks but food stops at 8. Room was spacious and had a lovely sofa to sit and watch the TV, WiFi signal was good in the evening but... More

Nice place with charming people. Bike friendly (they have a shed to lock your bikes). The room included TV, wifi, a water heater and two armchairs. Nice breakfast as well. Good quality/price ratio. Definitely a good option to stay in Selby.

What a fantastic B&B, lovely rooms and the kindest of staff always willing to help! The twin room was spacious and really clean, with extras like tea, coffee, water and a snack. The bathroom was spotless and kept extremely clean! It's completed with a breakfast area and a bar. In the morning you have a beautiful breakfast with plenty of... More

Had a spacious twin room, clean and very comfortable , en suite toilet rather "compact" but perfectly clean and accessible. Breakfast was absolutely awesome. Very near town centre, so great for walking to and from the venue, handy for Weatherspoon's too. Owners really helpful and friendly, price very competitive. Free parking a real bonus. Simply perfect for us.

Booked the last room available yesterday for an impromptu night out. Twin room. Spacious, tidy. Room 6. Quite a hot weekend so had the window open wide the whole time, which, if you aren't used to main road traffic noise could keep you awake. checked in and went straight out. We parked opposite so had no chance to find or... More

So pleased we chose Hazeldene guest house for our one night in Selby. A very nice room, the evening meal was much appreciated after a hard day pedalling and so was the freshly cooked breakfast on our departure morning . Not sure of any names of the staff but all were friendly and helpful
