Pleasant surroundings, also has a good patio area for enjoying the sunshine during the summer months. Good menu and a varied choice. Ideal venue for weddings parties etc. in the attached barn decorated as a luxurious marquee. Good parking facilities

11 of us gathered here for Saturday lunch, with it being a convenient place to meet from six different places across England. We had a reserved table in the conservatory which was a nice location. Orders were taken promptly. The main menu was not dissimilar to that of a pub, but some nice less standard food on the specials menu....

The welcome is confirmed by a blazing fire in the old bread oven inside the entrance area.A very well thought out conversion of several buildings with much thought given to detail. Comfortable bar and lounge with large conservatory restaurant.Superior room with sofa and chairs view of Rutland Water in distance, bathroom well furnished but not suitable for elderly guests as access...

The room was spacious and being on the ground floor was great when Spike my little dog wanted to pop out in the middle of the night. We opened the door to a little vestibule which opened onto the courtyard. There is a nice little stroll around the grounds where there are some hairy cows and ducks and chickens and...

We stayed overnight and required an accessible room. The staff were very attentive re our mobility challenges, including finding more comfortable dining chairs. The hotel is more suitable for wheelchairs rather than mobility scooter but we all worked around it. The atmosphere is upmarket but not stuffy and the food was all superb (dinner and breakfast). It's worth waking up...

Dear Susan Thank you for your lovely review of your stay, especially upmarket but not stuffy! We absolutely want our guests to feel indulged but relaxed. I will review your feedback regarding the grab handles with my maintenance manager, and am not sure if you were directed to the accessible parking at the end of the conservatory which is much...

This hotel is so beautiful and the views and setting are magnificent. The staff were superb, on the whole especially the reception staff. I had a small single room, which was perfect. The dining area is in the conservatory, which gets extremely hot! Lunch was delicious, if a little pricey and the bar could do with a few more options...

We stopped here overnight for a family party. The food was brilliant, very nice atmosphere with plenty of seating areas. The hotel rooms were very clean and comfortable and was very quiet even though it is close to a main road. The only slight negative was that there was two or three draught beers/ ciders off and only one real...

Dear HSB Thanks for the fantastic review - We're delighted we delivered for your family's party and that you enjoyed brilliant food, a nice atmosphere and clean and comfortable rooms. I will follow up with my head barman to understand why our draught stock was depleted and apologise that more choices were not available.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were in a superior room that had plenty of space and a lovely comfy bed. The bathroom was a good size with brilliant features such as a little step up to help you get into the bath and within the step there were lights that were activated by movement sensors (great for...

Dear Sue - Thanks for your lovely comments about your bedroom - We do have additional handles that vacuum seal onto the bathroom walls - so please mention at reception next time you stay! I will also look at options for additional sockets with my maintenance manager.
