it was a cute hotel right on the water and has a restaurant on site, that was very good. the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. There are 4 main hotel buildings and then one back behind the restaurant. The one behind the restaurant is not as nice looking as the others, (on the outside at least). The...

We stayed here for three nights in mid-Jan. It is a good place but manage those expectations. The photos make it look new and luxurious. The truth is that it is that they are good people but are struggling to balance and maintain the amenities. Mainly, hot water will run out in the morning and the wifi is pretty bad....

Villas Mar y Arena Puerto San Carlos– Delfin room, June 4. This is a very unique resort that Adolfo “Fito” has developed on the beach in Puerto San Carlos. Terrific water views. Rooms have a double and single bed with the typical hard mattress. Unique, pleasing and spacious room design, with a large bathroom. The buildings all have beautifully constructed...

Mar Y Arena is a small, attractive complex on the road just before Puerto San Carlos and, as such quiet, and peaceful. The complex has a dozen rooms in attractive bungalow and two-storey buildings. Our was furthest from the road and 30 metres from the sea, so right on the beach and a lovely location looking across Magdalena Bay. The...

Fito and his brother, Javier, niece Joanna, and various other relatives and employees showed us a wonderful time. We were a 5 person, 3-generation group, occupying 2 rooms, plus a large hole on the beach where we collected "pirates' booty" (only from good pirates), seashells, bits of rope and driftwood for the 3 yr old. We enjoyed most meals onsite,...

This hotel tries fairly hard. It has some real nice elements. one being its nice location at the edge of Magdalena Bay, just before you hit the town of Puerto San Carlos. We reserved 3 waterfront units and thay only had 2 available. We ended up in an older unit across the parking lot, adjacent to the workers quarters- a...

Mar Y Arena has the whole package. . . wonderful sea front hotel, a good restaurant and whale watching that leaves from the beach in front of your room! Although we only had time to stay for 1 night, we loved the coordination that allowed us to stay the night, and in the morning do a 3 hour whale watching...

We ate here breakfast, lunch and dinner. All meals were terrific and very well priced. Would go back in a heartbeat. Also did the 3 hour whale watching tour, we had a very good captain who was knowledgable about the area. The rooms were great and right in the beach. Can't ask for a better location.

We stayed during our honemoon. We wanted to stay 2 nights and endet up with a week. The city is authentical and not too toristy. They have a nice restarant with fresh seafood. It´s wasn´t walewatching season but still a lot of things and nature to explore. Adolfo "Fito" was an excellent host. It was just a perfect stay!!!!!
