We spent our first visit in Bucerias at Casa Tranquila and loved this place! WE are coming back for a month next January. Joann and Patricia have created a wonderful community and we met many friends, making nice connections. The open and welcoming environment encourage enjoyment amongst their guests. Staff is friendly and helpful. Looking forward to Casa Tranquila 2018!...

First let me say that Joanne and Patricia are awesome ladies! We decided to go back to Bucerias and only had about a month to find a place to stay. After many emails and phone calls we found Casa Tranquila, Patricia was great trying to accommodate us for the two weeks we would be there. Originally we would be there...

This was our first time in Bucerias so we were delighted that we chose to spend it with the women who run Casa Tranquila and all the wonderful guests there! Our room was great, on the top floor with a private patio. The fans in the rooms are all that is needed to keep things cool during our stay in...

Our stay was enhanced by their new windows which when added to the features we have become used to, made again for a very pleasant stay. We get around as you may notice from my reviews and my wife finds their beds to be the most comfortable The relaxing atmosphere created by the owners laid-back demeanor is the main reason...

In May of 2016 my husband and I enjoyed a quiet restful vacation at Casa Tranquila in Bucerias, Nayarit. The patio of our small, completely equipped, apartment faced the pool. The pool was surrounded by flowering vegetation and we had our own little tropical paradise. The owners, Joan and Patricia, gave us many ideas about where to eat and explore....

We are a couple in our mid-sixties just beginning the retirement 'travelling period' of our lives. We have been captivated by the Puerto Vallarta area of Mexico and in particular, the fishing village of Bucerias, just north of PV. We were fortunate to find the charming and cozy Casa Tranquila, a lovely little B & B style inn in the...

We stayed with Patricia and Joann in March, 2016. This was our second visit to Casa Tranquila. It's like a home away from home. The atmosphere is so relaxing and laid back. There is the opportunity to interact with the other guests or not, if that's what you prefer. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Beach towels and...

We loved it here. Our family and another family stayed here for a week. Joann and Patricia are so accomodating and you really get a feel for the laid back Mexican lifestyle. The bar next door is rather loud, but it didn't impact our stay.

Joann and Patricia are outstanding hosts! Their friendly greeting makes one feel right at home. This was my second year of spending 6 weeks at Casa Tranquila. It is a comfortable home away from home. The layout of Casa Tranquila makes it easy to meet other guests and interact with the outstanding staff and hosts. It's small, close to the...

A very affordable option with a great location. It is not far from "The bridge". Joanne and Patrica will even pick you up from the airport and take you to the bank and Mega upon arrival, I stayed in the Vaquero casita on the upper floor. It was very clean. It did not have air conditioning but they do provide...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Tranquila is a half block from the beach that stretches for 15 miles... great for meandering, digging in your toes, and sunset watching. Many restaurants are within walking distance of the house... in fact, the whole town is within walking distance. When you are ready to visit downtown Puerto Vallarta we are only two blocks from the bus stop or you can rent one of our vehicles to explore on your own. We offer 5 apartments, what are called locally a "bungalow" with 1 bedroom, private bathroom and full kitchen that can be rented by the day or by the month. The bedrooms feature a double bed and ceiling fans, there is a foldout sofa bed in the livingroom, and your own patio with outdoor table for fresh air dining. The kitchen is fully equipped and we include a starter package of our own locally grown and roasted coffee from Cafe Superior. Lush tropical gardens surrounding the pool and patios encourage you to relax and enjoy paradise here at Casa Tranquila. We offer room service from our very own Gringo's Books and Coffee Shop to your patio or poolside. Enjoy a light breakfast, toasted bagels and home baked goodies whenever you like... a rich latte or a refreshing frozen mocha might be just what you need and we deliver. You can browse our bookshelves to your heart's content. We have a large selection to choose from in used books and new books by local authors. We will be happy to pick you up at the airport with a stop at the major grocery store and the bank on your way to Bucerias. If you like, we can stock your kitchen prior to your arrival. We can provide you with tours of the surrounding mountains, beaches, and towns as well as kayaking in the lagoon and bird watching. In the winter (November to March), whales come to play and give birth just off shore. We have conscientious, ecologically-concerned guides, in whatever size boat you prefer, to show you our abundant marine life. Joann is available for eclectic and intuitive healing massage in her studio here at Casa Tranquila. We can also arrange for a manicure, pedicure, rejuvenating facial, hair cut and color, and hair braiding at your convenience right here on your patio. Some pets are welcome or you can use ours. We know how important your hard-earned vacation is to you and we are dedicated to helping you in any way we can to make it the best vacation ever. Our goal is that you have a wonderful trip, see and do everything that you want to do... and go home happy and tell all your friends about us! ... more   less
