Beautiful location. Good surrounding businesses, bar/restaurant. Room getting tired bathroom door wouldn't close or lock needs some tender loving care to bring it back to its best. If you have an aversion to the smell of curry stay away from rooms 1-3

We stayed at the Gulf Harbour Lodge for a couple of nights in a Water View Suite. It is advertised as a four star property which it definitely is not. The place must be nearly 20 years old and it looks as if it has never been refurbished, carpet very worn out. The first thing I noticed was the wallpaper...

This lodge is situated in an excellent location, backing on to bars, restaurants and a cute lake with a Rotunda perfect for wedding photos. Guests who stay here are good business for the local cafes, but it's not a place I would recommend to friends in it's current state. On their website, they refer to themselves as "luxury accommodation". I...

Room was large and at one time would have been very nice, but all the furnishings (especially the carpet) were well worn and in need of replacement. We booked online and the view was as per the picture, but the room was not. On the first day instead of a dish cloth in the kitchen there was a white flannel...

The room had a terrific view, the room itself was average, nothing out of the ordinary. No air conditioning and only enough coffee for 2 cups. The bed is the reason your there, this is what let this place down badly. It was the softest bed i have ever stayed in and the pillows were wafer thin, worst night sleep....

Extremely unclean, asked for a cleaner room, instead they sent a cleaner up - had to wait 1/2 hour for her to finish. Under beds not vacuumed, just really unclean and run down. $160 was over priced. Blood stains on matteres. Couldn't sleep there. Really unfortunate and let down.

We found Gulf Harbour very quiet and lacking the atmosphere we expected. Gulf Harbour Lodge was very well appointed and fantastic views from the small balcony. No amenities in the Lodge itself but there were cafes and bars underneath the building and shops a short walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was a studio, but...

This is the fourth time I've stayed at Gulf Harbour Lodge. I've stayed almost every Christmas lately as it provides, in effect, an extra bedroom for my extended family who live nearby. I had booked a King Water View Room, but think I only got a Premium Room because I needed an extra bed at short notice for my brother....
