My wife and I stayed at the Whangaparaoa Lodge for one night and found it exceptional. The manager Troy was a true professional and was helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our room was great, clean, quiet and spacious. A good feature for us was the comfy soft bed and pillows. The Lodge is in a great location not far from shops and...

Hello Ray Thank you for making time to write this lovely review. We enjoyed getting to meet you on your visit with us. Glad you like the bedding - we have the soft bed toppers and duck feather pillows which are nice aren't they! Hope to see you again another time Kind regards Troy

Very nice boutique hotel, great toilet amenities and most importantly, fantastic people. We arrived at past 2am, didn't realise that the Hotel Manager, Troy had sent us an email informing us where to locate our room keys (we booked 2-rooms). He woke up only to show us the way, went on to further explain the amenities in the room, hoped...

Nicest motel in 3 weeks covering the North Island, rooms really spacious and well fitted out, proximity to Auckland and North Harbour is excellent. Very pleasant management and we will definitely stay again.

Stayed our first 3 nights in New Zealand. The host was extremely helpful and friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was very clean, well-equipped, and comfortable.

We were welcomed with a personal note and iced tea when we arrived in the afternoon of our one night stay. The hotel is on a busy road with a beach access across. Troy, our host, suggested a couple of places to eat dinner and a walk in the neighborhood and a walk on the small beach across. We followed...

Our host took extra efforts to make our stay good. The place was nice, although not air conditioned. The view was beautiful as we could see the beach across the road. We ordered breakfast and the presentation, once again, reflected the owner's pattern of going above and beyond to make our stay special.

Wonderful customer service and first rate accommodation. Highly recommended. Very clean and spacious rooms. Host went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed after an unexpected flight delay saw us stranded. Ensured we got a meal and transport sorted. What could have been stressful was made very pleasurable thanks.

Great view over the Bay to Auckland. Rooms were not soundproof, a lot of noise from the level above and through the walls. Very clean but on second day the room only was given a rough clean. Laundry expensive.

The property was easy to fine and opposite a beach. The welcome was the best we have ever had, from the welcoming note on the table with two bottles of chilled water (great for the very warm day) to the two glasses of iced tea that the receptionist bought into us. I am sorry I did not get her name....
